It's an OK if you just need general help with your pet but for anything serious with your pet, they do not know what they're doing

Can't express how blown away I am by the quality of this business. My wife and I rehomed these two adorable Westies, who previously were cared for at this business by a former owner who passed away. We were able to, transfer over the records and have shots updated as well as preventative treatment for a couple of minor items. This business is simply amazing. I've never owned a dog before and was advised to get them a treat after the experience. They sure love their vet and pup cups. read more

I've been going to Palms West for years. The vets that have worked here have been nothing but kind, compassionate and gone seriously above and beyond in all aspects for the animals wellbeing. I've brought many in over the years and could not be happier with their treatment. That being said a I feel a lot has changed in the past year and no, it's not due to COVID. I've had three horrible experiences here where they promise the appointment is with the normal vet I use and they switch out, then the meds prescribed are under a third vets name who no longer works there. There are other reviews that mention bills magically going up, which I feel is true because I've had it happen. There is another review about sedation without telling the owner. I feel as though this is new common practice and I am so sorry for their loss. My girl who has had x-rays before and never needed sedation before was sedated when her body couldn't process the drug because all the blood work counts were off which they knew about before sedation. She was so sick she couldn't physically process the drug. It took her 4 days to work out of it and I didn't think she would make it. She would go unresponsive and they couldn't reverse it, and it took a lot to get them to admit they even sedated her. Even the tech that brought her out said it was unnecessary and I didn't put it together until later on. When your animal is hospitalized here, there is no vet overnight for critical care. There are only two emergency clinics that do that now in the area which is difficult because PWVC was always close and the vets were always a cut above. Now I don't trust them to look over my older cat who will need X-rays because if they won't let me see my normal vet and the other vets sedate without owner consent. If they sedated the cat he wouldn't be coming home, because whenever I make an appointment for my normal vet who knows my animals there it is always switched out with a different vet. I wonder why? I would like to add, that for 7 years I have gone to this practice it's been wonderful. I as an owner couldn't have asked for better care of my dogs and cats. The compassion and care that this clinic and the vets had towards pets they was unparalleled. I couldn't thank them enough for being there through the good times, the great times, the emergencies and the worst times. I met many awesome vets there, and one of the original Vet is still there and he is fantastic; but everything has changed sadly. read more

CRUEL AND INHUMANE. These people should not be allowed to work with animals. HORRIBLE experience taking my nervous dog there for an injury to his leg. My super sweet and docile 5 year old lab gets very shy and nervous at the vet and my vets back home (we are visiting from another state) have worked hard to help him with his anxiety and are so patient and wonderful with him that he's finally becoming more comfortable. Coming to a new vet he was obviously nervous, but being brave and a good boy. He had a potential fracture to his leg and because of his nerves he didn't want to stand, he would only sit with his butt against the wall (he feels safer touching the wall than he does out in the open). The vet sat on the ground about three feet away WITH NO TREATS OR ANY KIND OF POSITIVE INTERACTION BEFORE and tried to get my dog to walk to him to look at his leg and after a few tries I could tell he was getting more anxious and I told the vet he would have to scoot a little closer to my dog because he was too nervous to walk over to him and him sitting quietly there was as good as it could get with his anxiety (normally he lays down so he was being very brave by sitting up). Instead of the vet scooting 12 inches closer to my dog for the exam (which he could have easily done on his front leg while he was sitting), the vet tech asked if he could see the leash and I said sure, but before I could even let go of it he jerked my dog so hard away from the wall that it ripped the entire harness nearly over his head in a full blown struggle with my dog at which point I yelled at him to stop followed by the vet telling him to stop. Naturally my dog absolutely panicked and ran backwards, cowered on the ground against the wall and was violently shaking. I immediately went to try and comfort him and the tech came in front of me and got on his knees and grabbed my dog around his waist and neck in a chokehold and pulled him off the wall and pinned him on the ground at which point the vet started quickly examining his hurt leg. All I could do was stand there and talk to my dog trying to comfort him since these people had no compassion and the moment this tech let go of him he ran to hide under a chair with his entire body shaking. I had to pick up and move the chair from on top of him to get him to leave the room cause he was so afraid to come out. It was absolutely awful. They offered to do X-rays or give him pain meds and I said pain meds cause I don't care if my dogs leg was snapped in half, never in a million years would I trust those people alone with my animal. Not only did they not care AT ALL about my dogs anxiety, it seemed like this male vet tech was at the end of his rope ready to go home and had zero patience and zero tolerance. That kind of person should NOT be working at a vet clinic. AND to top it off, my dog was in there for a potential fracture to his leg- and you're going to RIP HIM UP BY HIS LEASH SO HARD THAT HIS HARNESS GETS WRESTLED OVER HIS HEAD AND THEN RESTRAIN HIM ON THE GROUND SO AGGRESSIVELY THAT HE HIDES UNDER A CHAIR VIOLENTLY SHAKING AFTER??? HOW IS THAT OKAY TO DO TO A DOG WITH A SERIOUS LEG INJURY?! I've had to carry my dog up and down stairs and getting off the bed etc to not hurt him and you're going to be that violent with him when he's there for an injury?! That's absolutely absurd. They should be ashamed and that vet tech should be fired (tall male, mid twenties maybe, shaggy light brown hair). Absolutely zero compassion for animals. If the vet care here was FREE I would still NEVER EVER take my dog back to them. The fact I was charged $200 for them to assault my dog is the literal least of my worries compared to how absolutely traumatized he now is after all the progress he had previously made gaining confidence at the vet back home. The lack of empathy for a very sweet nervous dog was sickening. I started crying the moment I walked out. If you love your animals like I do, please do not trust them in the care of these people. Not great diagnosticians and seem to overprescribe medications. Not easy to get a doc to return a call even a day after visit for a life threatening condition. Prices for services and especially meds have gone up over last few years....better off asking for prescription and getting filled yourself. Sometimes friendly help when calling other times rude and short. Seems like there are too many people with pets in the area and a shortage of good qualified vets that can provide quality personalized care for them. I can understand and imagine how challenging it would be to manage and run a practice that provides high quality care for our beloved pets..... but this one, in my opinion.....is coming up way short. read more

I cannot say enough good about this animal hospital. My dog had a horrible allergic reaction, I rushed her to my vet who tried to stabilize her, but said I needed to get her to the ER hospital immediately. She recommended that I go to Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists. I got there and after them ignoring my dog for a half hour, I left and headed to Palms West Veterinary Hospital. They were amazing. Right from the moment I walked in the door, the front desk staff was great considering I was a mess! They took me right in and immediately started treating my pup. All the staff members were loving on her the whole time we were there. They treated her and sent me home with meds. A little while after I got home, her snout started swelling, so I called they had me bring her back. When I got there, it was a new vet. He was great, he took the time to go over everything with me and gave her additional meds. They did not charge me for the second office visit, although I would have happily paid it. They were kind, caring, and responsive! I highly recommend this animal hospital. read more

Horrible vet. Especially to call themselves an emergency vet. Been going here for years way before covid for my cat. They never did anything for him (he had a horrible upper respiratory infection) and they would only refer us elsewhere. Recently, I had an emergency with my cat late at night. Called them, they told me sorry were not taking any more emergencies. How do you just decide to not take a dying animal? Called them today for my dog, and they also told me to go somewhere else (which was a 30 minute drive) I don't know how they call themselves emergency vets when they turn down hurt and dying animals. How can you knowingly say no to a hurt animal? Hopefully they figure it out. read more

I brought my cat here for skin issues. The doctor said it was just fleas and gave her a shot plus a steroid then said to use a certain medicine on her skin for a couple months and she'll be fine. Now a 3 months later her condition has gotten significantly worse, please do not go here unless emergency. I wish I would have read the reviews before spending almost 200 for nothing. read more

I am saddened to see so many mixed reviews of this facility. I have found them to be nothing but kind, care, fair and excellent practitioners. We have been coming since we rescued our "free dog", Lilo. (Uh, btw, there is no such thing as a "free dog" LOL!) Don't get me wrong, all of the Vets there have been so fair and tried to save us money, giving us less expensive options and offering informed opinions from which to make decisions. Our little girl just has severe allergies that need attention and guess what Drs Spillane, Grossman (and another, who's name escapes me) did? They got rid of her allergies! No scratching or pain for my sweet Lilo. Anyway, the staff there are so kind, comforting and reassuring. They are always quick to say hi or give her a pat on the head as they walk by. Always a kind word and happy to see us...not our check book...US! It's very comforting. Fortunately we have not been in any serious medical emergencies, but I have been there when they happen. From what I witnessed, I would not trust my precious girl with anyone else! I also know of two people who swear these great docs and techs have saved their dogs. As for it being dirty, I vehemently disagree. It's stained and old. It's not dirty. I sit on the floor with my dog and pet all the others. They keep it very clean. Is it Wellington/Palm Beach/Jupiter/Gardens posh? No. If you want frills, this ain't your place. If you want kind, caring professionals, who care about your animal, like you do? It IS your place. Each time we go in, they remind us to call any time of day or night with questions and they are there to help you. Let's face it, they can't bill for phone calls - that's just an inconvenience. Words could never express our gratitude to the Vet & Staff members of this place. We walked in thinking the blockage our 1 1/2 year old kitty Taz was suffering had no resolve. After months of no resolution at another vets and seeing Taz's suffering grow by the day till he was finally blocked we thought we were going to lose him. But we walked in on Memorial Day and they made ever effort to help him. We brought him home the same day and he is recovering. They were honest, kind and more compassionate than any vet I've been to. I took my dog to Palms West in pretty dire shape, with (sorry to be gross) blood shooting from his rear end. His symptoms developed quickly and so I called in advance to let them know what I was bringing in. Upon my arrival the front desk staff dallied around, and when my dog proceeded to have a bloody eruption all over the floor of the lobby, they asked me if I could step outside while they cleaned it up - not into an office or into the care of a veterinarian, but outside on an 80*+ day. Their priority was the cleanliness of the floor, not my dog. We finally made it into an exam room, where I was given a stern lecture about how thin my dog was. I told the vet that while he'd obviously lost some weight from being sick, he was kept lean at the advice of my regular veterinarian because he has terrible hip dysplasia. A few minutes later, after taking X-rays of his whole body, I was again given a stern talking to about the severity of his hip. Um, duh. My dog continued to deteriorate overnight such that I then I had to take him to a specialty clinic, at prodigious expense. Fortunately, the specialty clinic - the Veterinary Specialty Hospital do the Palm Beaches - couldn't have been nicer, kept me updated with calls and emails, and got my pup healthy. I hope I never have another veterinary emergency, but if I do, I don't care if my pet is on deaths door - I will drive the extra 45 minutes to avoid ever taking an animal to Palms West ever again. read more

I don't care for the vets in this practice. I've used them for emergency services because they are open and close by. They always prescribe more treatment than my regular vet. They also talk badly about other veterinarian hospitals and veterinarians when discussing my pets emergency needs. We take excellent care of our pet and when we have need of emergency care, they act as if we haven't been taking care of our pet. The office staff is very nice, though. read more

Just recently, my cat ate some horse medication in an extreme volume and she was eight weeks old and came in shaking. I was very clear that this was an emergency and I was waiting for 20 minutes on a not busy day for someone to just take my kitten. They put her on a table told me that if she starts vomiting or having diarrhea that I need to bring her to the emergency vet and took her off the table and did nothing else and then charged me $80. I got charged $80 to have a normal conversation for 5 minutes read more

I cannot tell you how grateful I am that we found this clinic. This morning our 11 ish (he's a rescue so we are guessing his age) year old Hound Dog Mix Hank suddenly started having problems walking. They he could not hold his pee and refused to eat. My husband and I were scared. We tried a few natural remedies and saw some improvement, but knew we could not get to our regular vet until Tuesday morning at the soonest. Our regular vet is in Lantana, so not around the corner. We called Palms West and they were so nice. Everyone we spoke to was caring and knew how emotional this was. Dr K was with Hank for just a few minutes and told us it was a case of vertigo, which is common in older dogs. He assured us that all the dogs he's seen with this condition in 20 years get better and that he will be fine in just a few days with some meds. They could have gotten us for so much more, but our bill was less then a weeks groceries. The kindness, compassion and knowledge of this clinic is beyond what we hoped to fine. Dr. K was wonderful. While we love our regular vet, but Palms West is just 5 minutes from our house and open 24 hours. They took what could have been a horrible day and made it ok. They are our new vet. read more

I have never rated anything so poorly as I will rate this. i brought my puppy in for puppy shots twice and each time I told this doctor there was something wrong with this puppy sleeping all the time and urinating every 5 minutes. The visits were 3 weeks apart for the puppy shots with the same complaint by me each time. The doctor told me each time that I had a perfectly normal puppy. I went back a Third time( I guess I'm a slow learner) With a urine sample and told Grossman that I wanted labs drawn. His comment to me was he was getting off in 10 minutes and couldn't do them. I demand the blood and he did it. Results showed a liver enzyme elevated and small blood cells and anemia. I wanted to know the results of the urine and his comment was, "and you want me to that too?" The urine showed a urinary tract infection. that was the last time I saw Neil Grossman. I went to another vet who drew a bile acid test which showed my 4 month old puppy with liver disease. within 2 weeks he was diagnoses with an Extrahepatic liver shunt showing NO blood getting detoxified by the liver and going right to the heart. I knew there was a problem from the first day I went to this clinic yet a professional couldn't see ANY problem even with the facts staring him in the face (Blood work and urine). The blood work and the urine, along with the signs and symptoms I reported were clearly pointing to liver disease. Without my demand of him running these test my puppy would probably not be here today. He has had surgery to try and correct the liver shunt and so far is doing good. In a nut shell, I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this clinic. read more

We were dealing with a very difficult situation with our dog. He was declining rapidly and since the Vet Hospital is 24 hrs, we brought him there for an emergency. The Pros : -Open 24 hrs. -Relatively short wait -In house lab work. The Cons: -Very dirty facility, -Depending on day, staff can be very unprofessional (was hung up on while asking about Euthanizing our dog. -Too busy to give full attention (kicked out of a room while being told our dog has cancer) -Over prescribed medication that was not needed and cost 100's. In short, go here if you have to but follow up with a more professional Vet that will take the time to provide the attention your pet deserves. Their rushed approach can lead to misdiagnosis, or over prescribed Rx's which makes any difficult situation that much harder. read more

I've been coming here since college, so almost 10 years! This place has grown incredibly since my first visit. They now have over 6 vets, a huge staff and the place is always busy. I may have complaints but just like any other vet, it's hard to find one you LOVE. So for me, I stick with what I'm used to and so far they have not done me wrong. What initially drew me to this vet was their cheap prices, but with their popularity rising, so has the prices. Nonetheless, I still drive 30 minutes here for my dogs and will probably continue doing so for the rest of their lives. Juan, the technician, is my favorite. Dr. Bennett is also a really good vet. You will NEVER find a kinder front desk staff, each and every one of them are special and wonderful to deal with. read more

i came here by recommendation of a friend and i couldn't be happier with the services provided to my cats and i. like everyone else has said, the staff is extremely kind, knowledgeable and patient. it's a bit of a drive, but well worth it considering what other vets charge for an office visit alone. palms west charges $38 initially with a free followup visit. to touch on what another yelper said about a certain dr. kathleen spillane, i'm going to respectfully disagree. dr. spillane is patient, kind and informed. she cares about the well-being of your animals and that is reflected by her clinical practice and bedside manor. she takes extra time to speak with me about my concerns and always asks if i have any questions during the visit, and encourages me to call back at any time if i have any issue. as for the "unnecessary tests" portion of your comment, it's important to have baseline labs to work from depending on the issue your animal is presenting with in the first place. you have to look at the reasoning and rationale for labs and other diagnostic procedures- would you start on a course of antibiotics without a bacterial culture if the infection called for it? there are many different angles the vets are working from that you may have not considered. you can always opt out of "extraneous" tests, just keep in mind what information may be gained from them, which is better than a shot in the dark. luckily, there are many different vets on staff for you to work with and work with you, all with their strengths and weaknesses. read more

Palms West Vet Hospital sees all my cats and dogs for 7 years. Wonderful and caring staff. My dog was in respiratory distress this morning. I called while en route, and Staff was waiting for us in parking lot. They took her right away. Dr. Grossman, and staff, took wonderful care of her, diagnosed, and treated, along with meds sent home. When my beloved vet moved to Tampa a few months ago, I thought I would lose my mind. I had 2 lab/terrier mixes that were getting up in years (10+), brother and sister. Marley, the male began to decline rapidly last December. He has always hated going to the vet, mostly because his skin was so tough that getting his blood work was always a nightmare. Lots of blood, sweat and tears (mostly mine). So when he fell ill, I had already made the decision not to treat with any extraordinary measures. I decided to let him pass at home and not make his final days terrifying for him. My son and I took turns staying up all night, fed him baby food and gave him water with a baster to make him comfortable. He finally stopped taking anything without vomiting so I knew the end was near. His last night he began crying out so I knew he was no longer comfortable and I could not stand to see him in pain. One of the hardest things I have ever done was pick up the phone to call someone to help, hopefully to come to the house, but it was very last minute. Since that was not an option, my search began for an office who would come out to my car to administer something to calm/sedate him so he didn't know where he was. Not easy. Plus I was sobbing most of the conversation. Somehow I reached these wonderful people. The girl who spoke to me on the phone was so kind and sympathetic and after speaking to the Dr, said to come in anytime I felt I was ready, just give them a 20 minutes heads up. When we arrived, my son alerted them and a girl immediately came out to access the situation. They didn't know my dog and had to be sure he was failing. She went back in and brought me minimal paperwork to my car. Marley peacefully slept during this time. A few minutes later, the Dr (maybe Dr Grossman?) I was a mess and don't remember the name. He asked if I would like to bring Marley to a patch of yard at the side of the building protected by a hedge from public view, with a small bench. It was perfect. I spread his blanket and lay down with Marley hugging and speaking softly to my baby. The Dr took maybe 10 minutes to prepare and then made sure we were ready, I was never rushed. I told them about his tough skin and they even used a tiny needle even though it took much longer for the process. It was peaceful, quiet, private, one of the most precious moments of my life. The Dr sat there on the ground with me, told me to stay as long as I needed, and even prepared us as to how to prepare for burial (one of my stipulations was to bring him home). I have yet to call to thank them as it is still very hard. I did receive a card a few weeks later with the entire office's signatures. Obviously I need a new vet for Marley's sister and as soon as I am ready, I know exactly where I will go. Sorry for the length of this review but those who have lost a dog/pet can relate to how special this place is. ***I would like to add that this cost me less than $200 and was totally last minute read more

Was quoted around $160 on the phone, when we took our Yorkie in for an exam the vet said yes she needed a cleaning. However, the quotes they issued were in the $400 to $900 range. Discussed and decided we wanted to have here teeth cleaned. Wow, when we returned they had pulled 8 teeth and the bill was $almost $500. Would not recommend Palms West Veterinary Hospital as their actions are not honest. read more

I recently brought my dachshund in who was having hind end problems and couldn't walk. They said she just had an upset stomach. They just sent me on my way. I called them back and to let them know she was worse they said to just let her meds kick in. Thank god I didn't listen to them and took her to a specialist she's going into back surgery today. read more

I have utilized Palms West Hospital for years with all of Fur Babies and was extremely satisfied when Ira Grossman ran his business..He has retired and his family run his business..However, his business has increased with drs.& assistants and I think that they have become very much overwhelmed and distracted. I have concerns since I was given to much medication of one and none of what I needed with another.( mind you, this was a front desk individual).. This is our story and we are going to tell it like it is. My husband and I had a little mix chihuahua named Marley who was 20+ years old. She had been dealing with an enlarge heart which caused her to have syncope's (passing out) and was taking several meds. Lately she was having more syncope's then usual and need a new med to help her. Dr. Grossman (the senior doctor) had been seeing Marley for this issue and told us that if she started not doing well to bring her in and he would put her on doggie Viagra to open her blood vessels. My husband took Marley back to PW on 3/10/2021and was told that Dr. Grossman (the senior one) had retired and Marley would be seeing Dr. Glassburner. My husband told the tech taking Marley inside to be very careful with her as she is very old and sensitive. They don't allow you to go in with your pets. Dr. Glassburner calls my husband on the phone and recommends doing x-rays and blood work. My husband says no to blood work it was just done a few months earlier but okay on the x-rays. So, the Dr. prescribe the doggie Viagra for Marley. The Tech brings Marley back to my husband in the truck and Marley is out of it. Very sedated. My husband asks what's wrong with her the Tech says she was a little agitated during the x-rays so Dr. Glassburner gave her a little sedation. My husband says I didn't know she was going to be sedated and I didn't authorize any sedation. I would have NEVER permitted Marley to be sedated, she's 20+ years old for god sakes! He takes her home, then I come home from work, which now it has almost 7 hours since sedation and poor little Marley is out of it. She won't eat, drink, walk nothing. I call Palm West and tell them what is going on, they tell me to hold. She gets back on the phone a few minutes later and say that it could take up to 8 hours for her to recover. I say it already been almost 7 hours and she is totally out of it. She says it could take a day for older dogs. Looking at Marley and the state she was in I felt they were lying to me. About 8 o'clock pm Marley starts labor breathing; she isn't doing well. My husband grabs her up and heads back to Palms West with her in full distress. I call Palms West to inform them that my husband is on his way with Marley as she isn't doing well at all. The girl that answered the phone says not to bring her there as they don't have a Vet on site due to the coronavirus huh! She tells me to take her to Forest Hill & Kirk Road to Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists a 45 minutes ride from our home and all the while Marley's struggling to breath. I call my husband and tell him don't take Marley to PW there no Vet there and you have to drive to Forest Hill & Kirk RD. He was beside himself! He gets Marley there and the Vets rush her in the back put her on oxygen, but our little Marley Girl doesn't make it. She dies about 5 hours later. We had been going to PW for about 15 years with all of our animals. That morning before taking Marley to the Vet for her new medicine, she was enjoying her life, she eat her breakfast with delight like each morning, laying around on the couch, and roaming around the yard with her pack mates until my husband took her to Palms West to get a new medicine for her, which was a death sentence for her. She never came back to life after that visit where Dr. Glassburner decided to inject her with Butorphanol to sedate her for x-rays! The next morning after Marley's death I call PW to tell them I was not going to pay the $400 bill for Marley she died due to their neglect. They didn't get authorization to sedated Marley. At 20+ years old we would have never allowed any kind of sedation period. Dr. Glassburner made that decision on her own to sedate Marley. Now I have a bill from Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists who actually tried to save Marley life. I talked to Glen Grossman the office manager and we went back and forth about the sedation and that it was not authorized for them to sedate our dog. He told me he would refund the amount for the sedation, that all he could do and that he was not a Vet and could not talked to me about the butorphanol that was injected into Marley that he would have his brother Neil Grossman call me to discuss the butorphanol. Guess what I'm still waiting. I did some research on Butorphanol here what was said about it: Butorphanol should be used with caution in ELDERLY animals. This Veterinary Office KILLED our beloved Marley! I'm not saying they intentionally killed her, but they certainly kill her through their neglect. Also, this Veterinary Clinic advertises as a 24 Hour Emergency Hospital which is a bunch bull crap! read more

First off this place was great when it first opened and for the first few years but now it is quickly turned into the worst as the original Veterinarians work less or not at all like Dr. Grossman. First off they try and sell you everything but the kitchen sink. The large group of Veterinarians are unskilled. The facility is disgusting inside and out. Depending on which staff is working they have wildly inappropriate things on the TV in the waiting room like BET. We took our dog here in February and found our dog had a ALT reading in the 300's basically meaning a bad liver. We took our dog back again in June where another test showed the ALT at the same reading or we were told by Veterinarian 1. The next day we went back and Veterinarian 2 said they number from the test the day before was "off the chart" but no specifics. Then Vet Tech 1 told us the most recent ALT was in the 500's. Once they realized we caught them in a lie including verbal and written false statements on the chart they started changing stories and even tried to refuse to give us back our dog although a quick mention of the Sherriff coming for a visit changed that. In the end we will never be going back here and I don't recommend anyone else does. Now some of the Veterinarians here are good but there are too many and all rotate schedules so the odds of seeing the one you want is slim. When you sit in the waiting area the other people you talk to always have a story about which of the Veterinarians in rotation are not allowed to see their pets. read more

Although the service required was performed well and professionally, the office is chaotic and the back room is actually scary. After numerous attempts for a call back after our dog's surgical procedure (8!) over a two day period, we had to drive back to the hosputal to receive the equivilant of sn answer that would have only taken a minute. read more

I've been going here since Dr. Grossman was the only vet. If I could give more stars I would. They staff is very pleasant and helpful in every way. There was only one incident when my lab was misdiagnosed by one of the vets and put on medication that he did not need. But it was all worked out when we found the source of the problem after being evaluated by another vet in the office and who I have requested to use for all my 4 legged kids to this day. All the veterinarians are knowledgable and want the best for our pet. They are very caring and prices are reasonable. I recommend them highly. read more

Awful, price. Be very careful because they take advantage. I took my beagle there after a dog fight, she had 1/2 wound on her tight that got a infection overnight. Our vet is in Tequesta so my thought was to find a vet close to home once we just move to Loxahatchee. They want to charge me up to 730 to clean her wound, blood work, flush her system, things that had nothing to do with the injury. I was shocked with the estimate. Told them not and call my husband, they them give her antibiotics, a medical colar and charge me $122. At that time my vet had already call our farmacy and send all that out dog need to be better... watch out if you are walk in and foreign. read more

Palms West Veterinary Hospital is the only place we'd ever take our pets. Dr. Grossman has knowledge, years of experience, and compassion. His staff is excellent and friendly. Price wise, its the best around. Even more, our dogs are happy to go there, it's a stress free, country environment. Now since we've moved, we drive some 30 miles to get there but we know it's best for "our kids". read more

Yesterday I had the most wonderful experience here! My friend & I rescued a stray with a bad eye infection. I volunteer at the big dog ranch so we took her there but no Dr on duty. I drive by Palms West when I go to the ranch so we decided to try them. Dr Kayla Glassburner took such good care of our little Lady. Lady was given special treatment coaxing her in the back door and even fed her a bit after her exam. No appointment yet Dr Glassburner took the time to give her a thorough exam & we started her shots. She did her heartworm test with results in 10 minutes so we could get her on the meds. The cost was very reasonable for all the service provided. She was very conscious of our financial situation. It renews my faith when I meet people who are dedicated like Dr Glassburner & her assistant. Their kindness was truly a life saver. read more

The vets, techs, staff, and groomers are all top notch! Everyone is so caring and helpful. Our fur babies have major anxiety when we go to vet but everyone here is so gentle and patient. They don't rush you through an appointment or if you have questions. Their prices are reasonable. Top that off with the fact that they have 24 hour emergency hospital on site instead of having to take your pet to some unknown emergency clinic. You can't ask for better. We are so thankful we found this hidden gem! read more

I have taken my dog for emergencies on several occasions. The staff and doctors are the bests!!! They are kind and nice, and don't make you spend money in unnecessary tests or treatments. They really care about your pets. I would not take my doggy anywhere else. read more
