Reached out for a Generac generator quote. Guy came out on day scheduled, was late. Stated I would receive the quote in 1-2 weeks. It's been 2.5 months, no quote. Called twice over this time period, spoke to different employees was assured they would email it to me, still nothing. Looks like I'm going with their competitors bid instead. read more

Terrible service and sky high prices. Would not inspect a used JD vehicle for us unless we purchased it.

I was a potential new customer, I called on an item and made an offer, the salesman said he would get back with me on a counter offer, 4 days later I called back since I hadn't heard from him and they sold the item, wow, he said he meant to call me back that day and time got away and then just didn't. Poor salesmanship in my opinion, shows where a new customer stands there! Guess the articulate and 1795 planter I'm in the market for won't be coming from them!! We bought this Z425 from a maintenance company we are associated with. They did not like this unit, and we were looking for a new mower, after having a 20 year old Ariens. We used this product for approximately the last year and a half. The freeze plugs on both transaxles went at the same time. Then we discovered hairline cracks on BOTH units, at the SAME places, that were the fluid leaks. That indicates a defect. John Deere refused to work with us because the mower was several months out of warranty. The motor is at 83.7 engine hours. Very young motor. Do not buy John Deere products. They do not care. This is my first, and last John Deere purchase ever. They only offer a two year warranty. Obviously they don't have products that last anymore. read more

I would certainly not recommend the Ag Pro London Ohio dealership for service. I recently took my John Deere lawn tractor in for a transmission leak. After a week they called and told me the repair would cost $700. I told them to go ahead and was told the transmission needed to be resealed and it would be ready a week from Friday. That time came and went and they never called. A week later I called and left a message to call me. Hours later I called again and this time was told they would check on it and get right back to me. Hours passed and I called again and spoke with the service manager who told me they had not taken the parts out to the tech and he never requested them but they now had it in the shop and they would notify me when it was ready. A week later they called and I picked it up and the bill was $925 instead of $700. I brought it home and it leaked as much as before. I took it back and after another week they said it was fixed again. So they had the machine about 4 or 5 weeks and I drove 280 miles to and from. The second fix was just an o-ring which makes me wonder if that's all it needed from the beginning. read more

My issue is with Ag-Pro. I responded to a Generac TV ad offering a 10-year extended warranty on a standby generator. Ag-Pro is a Generac dealer participating in the Generac Power Play (extended warranty) program. Only participating Generac Power Play dealers can offer the extended warranty. None of my local Generac dealers were participating in this program. I paid-in-full on the day of installation, but did not receive evidence of my warranty. I made monthly inquiries with my Ag-Pro installer regarding the warranty. He continually indicated it would be coming in the mail. After four months my installer stopped returning my calls. My attempts to contact Ag-Pro were always an adventure. Their phone system does not allow you to leave a message when you get transferred to someone who doesn't answer. When I called the London location which appeared on my installer's Ag-Pro business card, I was told my installer does not work for Ag-Pro. After a couple weeks of no result from Ag-Pro, I then contacted Generac customer service in Wisconsin and found I did not have the extended warranty. I was later told Ag-Pro had failed to respond to Generac in a timely manner and apparently did not know how to enter the extended warranty on the Power Play system. Thankfully, the Generac customer service representative worked through the issue in a few short weeks. Four to six weeks from now, I should receive evidence of my warranty. I like my generator, but would suggest using a dealer other than Ag-Pro. You might want to choose a dealer with a modern phone system and one who will return calls and follow through with what they promise on the proposal they provide. I guess I'll be shopping for a dealer who will respond to my future service needs. read more
