My Chubbs passed away last week in the middle of the night. My mother and I brought his body to this facility. It was just like a funeral home atmosphere but for pets. The entire staff was extremely sweet and kind. Autumn, helped me pick out Chubbs urn and engraving. Instead of calling him my dog, she referred to him as my baby, which was tear jerking but appreciative. It usually takes 2 days for them to privately cremate your pet. When I picked his ashes up they gave him to me in a nice gift bag, velvet pouch, a cremation certificate card, and a grief pamphlet. They offer other sentient keepsakes such as a paw print, hair, snout print, and charms. The price was reasonable for a private cremation compared to the vets office. I highly recommend if you lose your beloved pet/baby, take them here.

They are the most empathetic people and the keepsakes we got for both of our animals will always hold a special place in our heart.

Cheapest box we could get at our pet's weight. It included engravings with no extra charge

We were able to get our pet chicken cremated very short notice and for a very affordable price. You can tell that they run their business with compassion and acknowledge how hard it is to lose a critter. It was a very nice contrast from the previous business we called where my wife and I overheard them making fun of the fact that we had such a large chicken.

I was compelled to write this review because Agape Pet Services was there for me during a very difficult time when my pet bunny passed away suddenly. She was a part of our family for five years and was so beloved, and I'm glad my veterinary hospital worked with them to get my fur baby Lola cremated. The rosewood urn was beautiful, we got a certificate of cremation, and I got my pet's cremains in less than a week. Presentation in a velvet bag was lovely. Thank you Agape Pet Services, I will be recommending you to others.

I love the detail they put into the certification to the velvet bag.

Got us in quickly to remove the mast cell tumor. They communicated with us the whole time, called me back when I needed something and took great care of my baby. I'd recommended this facility 100 times over for the needs of my pets!

I will literally never come here again. First off, the middle aged woman at the front desk needs to…read morework on her customer service skills. She has the WORST attitude. I used to be a dog sitter and I was watching a miniature pincher at the time. The owner left me a signed note saying if she needed emergency services, I have her permission. Because in VA dogs are property. Well this wasn't good enough for front desk witch. Which is so ironic because they called the owner of the dog and they didn't even speak to her after giving me the most hard time. She didn't explain to me that I had to put the owners info on the intake form, so I had to cross everything out and write next to it because apparently giving me a new piece of paper isn't in their budget. And she was RUDE AS HELL every time I had a question or concern. This dog decided when I went to bathroom to knock over my trash can and eat TWO giant crumbl cookies. They were both chocolate!!! That's A LOT of sugar and chocolate for a dog. I went here because bay beach wasn't accepting new customers which was so irritating because I've never had a good experience at blue pearl. Well, the vet and vet techs made me WASTE FOUR HOURS calling poison control (which was $95 by the way) just for them to end up making her puke, again, FOUR HOURS LATER and when the vet came in and said "yeah... she puked A LOT. like, I mean a lot". No shit. I could have actually slapped him. SINCE they waited so long to make her vomit I had to then bring her for an overnight at bay beach because she was showing signs of chocolate toxicity. Which really aggravated me because I BROUGHT HER TO BLUE PEARL FOR A REASON. I don't want to hear "oh it's protocol to call poison control" I TOLD YOU A TINY DOG ATE TWO GIANT COOKIES. THATS TOO MUCH SUGAR AND CHOCOLATE FOR A DOG HER SIZE. I ended up spending $600 that night. Just for her to almost die because of their lack of urgency and knowledge. I'll NEVER come here EVER again. And I'll keep spreading the word that you guys shouldn't be used at all. And if you guys remember pepper, that's exactly who I'm talking about. You guys are useless as f. I'm still considering a lawsuit because that was BULL. So yeah, if you want your pet to get the most mediocre "care" for an arm and a leg, go here. Bay beach is always your best bet for emergency care. Blue pearl is USELESS.

I have been coming to this vet for at least 4 years now. In the beginning, I really loved this vet and highly recommended them to many friends. I even continued to go here despite moving much further away and being closer to several other vet options. But things have changed in the past year or so. I have noticed that the staff has changed entirely, so I can't help but think that there has possibly been a change in ownership or management. Prices have sky rocketed and professionalism has significantly decreased. I have had my final straw this past week. I had previously euthanized my pit bull at Friendship about 3 years ago because of a spinal injury. That experience was incredible and I was grateful for the amount of care the staff had put into our farewell to our precious dog. However, this year, I had to euthanize another elderly dog of mine, and the experience was absolutely horrible!!!! I got to the appointment early so that I could go in and speak with the receptionist (while my partner remained in the car with our dog). My intention was to preemptively fill out all paperwork and pay in advance. There were no customers at all in the waiting room, and there were two receptionist. Both appeared to be consumed by their computers. I announced myself and explained why I was there. Initially, the receptionist was kind, but then the other receptionist reminded her that she needed to hurry up to take her lunch break. She then proceeded to rush through my check-in, hurriedly filling out my paperwork, not even asking if I wanted any additional services/products for the cremation. I had to inject myself and insist on asking for a paw print. She didn't even ask me if I wanted to see what other products they had. Then other customers started arriving in the lobby, and it appeared that her attention was redirected. She never said another word to me while I was standing at the counter, so I just walked out and went back out to my car for my final moments with my dog. We brought her in at exactly the appointment time, and had to sit in the lobby temporarily. Then we were ushered into the same exam room that we previously put my pit bull down in. It's a specific room that has its own private exit so that dog parents don't have to exit through the lobby while emotional. While in there, the vet and assistant took awhile; so we sat there soaking in our last moments with our dog while have to overhear people yelling in the lobby at their pets. It was so uncomfortable. Most vets place a sign or candle out in the lobby to signal that a pet is being put down, and requesting silence. Not this place. The vet finally came in and had more paperwork for me to sign (even though I had asked to fill out all paperwork when I came in early). The assistant said "I'm going to take her to the back now". This scared me because she didn't say why. I had to protest to ask if she [my dog] was coming back or not. She carelessly said "oh yeah, she's just getting a catheter". It felt like she didn't understand why we were on edge and emotional. When she came back with our dog and the vet, they laid her down on a blanket and injected a sedative, then they left the room to give us time to say goodbye. In the midst of our farewell, the assistant came in and quickly laid down a plate of beef and rice in front of our dog. Our dog obviously started eating it quickly, but the sedation started to hit her after about 2 bites. She was immediately paralyzed in the face and was unable to chew and swallow properly. We had to listen to our dog choke and struggle in her last moments. It was devastating to watch, and I felt completely helpless. They took that last moment from us. I was trying to be strong as I'm heavily pregnant and my partner was extremely emotional in the moment, so I restrained my anger because I just wanted to be in that moment with my dog. The vet came back in and administered the final injection. When they went to leave the room again, the assistant asked how I wanted to pay... literally seconds after my dog died in my arms. I told her I would call and pay later. She went to leave, and I had to ask if we were able to use the private exit in the room because now there were signs on the door saying "do not use". She lazily said "oh sure". And that was it. I looked down at my dog who had beef, rice, and foam pouring out of her mouth. I had to cover it up with the blanket because it broke my heart to look at. That was my last moment with my girl and they ruined it.
