She is a nightmare, refuses to communicate with the parents unless you're there in person, there's nothing about our experience with this person that says she's genuinely concerned for the patient. If you need a school physical or vaccines any clinic will do, but if you want a doctor who cares about their patients, a front desk staff that doesn't get away with lying to parents and their boss William, run fast and far. Some doctors go above and beyond for the welfare of their patients, not Hoffert though! One issue you need their help with and you won't get a response from her or her front desk staff. We're pulling our 4 kids out of there ASAP. Good luck if you end up here, you'll need it.

I've had to advocate for myself to the point of major frustration as he's done nothing to help. My first appointment after the fall, the only exam he had me do was to stand on my tippy toes. He didn't inspect the area, no troubleshooting other than to stand on my Tippy toes. He discouraged me from getting X-rays as he said they wouldn't show anything which is fine, but I wanted to rule out any possible fractures. Ive had to beg for pain medicine to help me through as my back heals. Eventually he prescribed me 5mg which is the lowest possible dose. I'm a 6'4 330lb man, the 5mg literally did nothing. I called and left two messages as the pain has been so great, he had his nurse call and tell me there's nothing more he can do. They make much higher doses that could help, yet he says there's nothing he can do. I've never felt so unheard and unhelped and I don't understand why he's become this way. It's disheartening to have a doctor who when you need them to help you, clam up and become to afraid to do something to keep you comfortable so You can function while your body heals. After this last appointment with Ebright, I'll be moving to another doctor. I understand not overprescribing, but when a patient is in pain while their body is healing, this is an appropriate time to Prescribe the medicines available to keep the patient comfortable during the interim. Not only did I not authorize this third party to access our records, but they charged 76 cents per page plus shipping, which, with multiple children over multiple years, can really add up. Please be aware of the fact that you will likely faces these charges if you ever change pediatricians, or need to transfer records for any reason.

She also blew me off (see my yelp review). 3/14 I had surgery to remove my left cyst which was 8cm. I had stage 5 endimetrosis w/ extreme scarring. Lt ovary was removed & so was my uterus. Lt ovary was extremely damaged & could not be saved. I have a cyst & endometrioma in Rt ovary which my new competant gynecologist is trying to control through medication. I was being sent to the emergency service DURING BUSINESS HOURS because for some reason they were not answering their phones. I arrived at the office on the day and time of my scheduled visit for them to tell me that they stopped accepting my insurance 6 MONTHS AGO!! although I had an emergency visit around that time and was not notified of any issues. I even called over the phone before arrival to let them know I would be a few minutes late.. again, no one thought it would be beneficial to tell me that my insurance was not accepted. He is so measured and kind with an encyclopedic knowledge of pediatric medicine. It was during a routine appointment with our daughter that he mentioned something we hadn't encountered in our first-time-parents' research. He told us about the prevalence of febrile seizures and what to do if we encountered such an experience with our kids. His soothing voice entered our ears a year later when our daughter suddenly had a febrile seizure. The experience would be terrifying if it were not for Dr. Garcia's thoughtful explanation/preparation of such an event. We followed his sage advice and were able to stabilize our daughter before the paramedics arrived. This is one of countless times that Dr. Garcia has been our guiding light in all things medical. Unexpected things come up and you need a doctor who has EXTENSIVE knowledge to cover all bases. We've leaned into Dr. Garcia's expertise for years and we are always confident after speaking with him.
