Update: I called and spoke to the owner the next day about one of the flowers dieing and some of the other fully bloomed ones that might be soon to die and he stood by his product and refunded the entire amount. It's good to see that I was right about the customer service being strong on my last review. I didn't even ask for a refund, it was offered by the business owner, I'm glad old school American customer service isn't dead in this country. Previous review: I wanted to really be super positive so I'm rounding my review up to 4 stars. They were really nice in the store and accommodating even though it was right before Valentine's Day. So that's gotta be worth something. I feel like the customer service and general friendliness was worthy of 5 stars. I just had a few gripes, so for one, I wanted to make my arrangement bigger , but it looks like by doing so it ended up looking cluttered. I think I would have benefited from having a larger vase , and maybe different placement of stuff. What ended up happening was they just added more flowers to a pre existing arrangement so that's why it looked a bit smashed. In pictures it doesn't look like I spent over $200 but in person it does look a bit better. I was also hoping for roses that weren't fully bloomed, they replaced a couple for me that were like that but when I came the next day to pick them up I noticed many more that were fully bloomed. Which isn't a problem per se , but it means the flowers probably won't live too long because they are at the end of their life cycle. The bow was really pretty I wish they had a larger one when the arrangement got bigger you couldn't really notice it as well as you could on their pre arranged ones. I kinda wished I would have had an option to design one from the ground up , but I get it, it's Valentine's Day people are busy. I'm also not going to say anything negative about the price, because it just seems like Albuquerque in general just has really expensive flowers. I'm originally from LA and we have a massive flower market with florists in them where we pay half of the prices in this town. So I've been growing accustomed to that part. For me, the thing that sets apart a florist from let's say, getting flowers at Whole Foods, is the customization , fine details, artistry, execution, and design that you miss out on by buying flowers from a place like that. I know times get busy, just hoping next time I'll have the forethought to get more involved and ask if it might look more full in a bigger vase or if I should go buy a larger bow myself and wrap it, etc. Ya know? My brother-in-law was hospitalized in Albuquerque a few days ago. I am in Chicago and that night ordered a bouquet online from Agave (a very easy process!). After I completed my order, I learned he was moved to the ICU (where no flowers are allowed). I called Agave when they opened and asked for the delivery to be delayed until he is back in a regular room. They were very accommodating and sympathetic. I called back today to let them know he was out of the ICU and ready to receive the flowers. They told me they had been calling the hospital every day as well to see if he was out of the ICU but had not yet done so that morning (a completely unexpected and very thoughtful gesture). Anyway, the flowers were delivered this afternoon. My brother-in-law was delighted to get them. My sister said it was a beautiful bouquet and sent us the attached photo. It looks even better here than the version on the website. I am so happy with their service, their willingness to accommodate changing circumstances, as well as with their work. I was commuting to work early one morning when I started thinking about the fact that my partner had been working their tail off and hadn't received much gratitude from their place of business. I already knew they were having a tough week so I thought maybe there was a small something I could do to brighten their world. I recalled that a friend of mine was recently raving about this shop and all the centerpieces they do for him, so I gave Agave a shot. I was able to give the shop my card while I was on the road, and the exact specifications I gave was to have the arrangement be between $75-$100, and to have some nice smells and to have some white. Agave Florist at Nob Hill went above and beyond. I believe I spoke with Ron (sorry for forgetting; it was a helluva morning the day that we spoke) and he was a gem. Very polite and very efficient with many great suggestions for a working stiff like me. The phone call was done around 0840, and my centerpiece was done same day and ready for pick up by 16:30 (4:30PM), the time I had requested! It was after hours but I was able to leave a message. First thing this morning Mike from Agave called me. He said it seemed I had an issue that upset me and he would do everything he could do to make the situation a little bit more bearable for me. He asked me questions about my aunt as well as what I was looking for and offered suggestions along the way. By the end of the conversation he had me laughing. I am getting married next May and I called Agave Florist because they had wonderful reviews. Well I was clearly wrong. About 2 months ago, I called them and spoke to a gentlemen about scheduling an appointment to go over flowers for my wedding. The gentleman was very helpful and informative. I had an idea of the flowers I was looking for but not 100% at that time yet. The gentleman told me he will schedule me for late May (2023) , to give me enough time to look on Pinterest and get some more ideas on what colors and flowers I was looking for. So I schedule an appointment for Saturday May 27th, 2023. My mom came into town just for this appointment, to come with my fiancé and I. We get there at 9am and their lights are off and no open sign. I called them multiple times, no luck. Their sign says they are open on Saturdays from 9am -12pm. We waited about 30 mins in the parking lot hoping someone would show up. They never did. I left a voicemail and they so kindly called me back today (May 30th). I got the same gentlemen that previously made my appointment 2 months ago. He said he just received my voicemail and was confused cause they didn't have any appointments on their books for that Saturday. I said, I spoke to you 2 months ago and that you booked this date so it gave me enough time to find the colors and flowers I wanted. He got my name again, my wedding date, and put me on hold. He came back on the phone and said in an exaggerated voice "ohhhh no, your wedding is Mother's Day weekend." "There's NO way we would be able to help you for your wedding!" So tell me why (he knew that my wedding was Mother's Day weekend when I spoke to him 2 months ago) when I spoke to him before, he said they were available for a wedding that weekend next year and now they are brushing me off. They wasted 2 months of mine, when I could have been searching for other florists. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with this company. I will be telling everyone I know, to stay away from here. You'd think a big wedding would be more enticing for them than Mother's Day flowers... I guess not. Do better Agave Florist. read more

This is the 4th time I've used this florist over past couple of years and every experience with them has just been excepctional!! Not only are their prices reasonable, but they create beautiful, unique arrangements and listen to your input regarding what types of flowers or colors or vase or whatever you prefer and then incorporate it into the arrangements. My experience with them yesterday was the best yet! I called them a little past noon and spoke to Eric and asked him if they could get an arrangement to my mom (whose 86th birthday was yesterday) by the end of the day. Not only did they deliver it to her, the delivery guy (Ron) called me twice to follow up. First because he was unable to locate her apt in the giant complex she lives in (and my mother is speech impaired so he couldn't coordinate delivery on phone with her) and then to let me know he'd made delivery after he had gone to management office at her complex and personally followed them to her apt to make sure flowers were delivered on her birthday. I live in Los Angeles and there is NO WAY I would have been able to get these stunning flowers delivered to my mom on her birthday without the help of ALL at Agave Florist. They treated me as if my order was their top priority and they MADE my day AND that of an 86 year old woman. read more

I have gone to several florists in the City and Agave is by far the best I have seen. I picked up a valentines arrangement today, and had another arrangement delivered a few weeks ago. Both were in incredible condition, were well designed and the delivery/pick up process was very thoughtful. The arrangement I had delivered is still alive and just beginning to wilt after two weeks! I was even told by the owner that if I had a problem, which I didn't, I could come back in and get it taken care of. Wonderful service and great products. This is my second flower delivery from this amazing florist shop. The bouquets were artful distinctive and gorgeous. Sophisticated too. Lots of flowers I had never seen. You can't take your eyes off it. First bouquet was to my daughter staying with me. It kept changing daily with different flowers opening every day. Also flowers smelled amazing. My daughter one time walked in and I was smelling the flowers. She said are you still looking at that bouquet. I'll never forget the time it was in my house. I have sent or received hundreds of bouquets in my lifetime and none came close to this.That's why I'm writing this review so others can experience the magic too! The second bouquet arrived yesterday. It was smaller then the huge one and was just as fabulous and artful. I'm looking at it now and there are four types of flowers I've never seen mixed in with others I was familiar with. The greenery they use is amazing too. It makes the bouquet even more special. So forget all the stereotypical flower shops here in town with same old bouquets . Prepare for a sprinkle of magic and a huge smile when you see what arrives at your front door.
