Our party of seven sampled the menu widely. The fajitas were excellent, as were the soups (particularly the spicy chicken soup) as was the guacamole. The chips were a little soggy but that was probably the high humidity. read more

Great starter dish and amazing service and friendy waiter. However, it stops there. The food was a big disappointment. The taco felt like and tasted like a sponge, the meat was under-seasoned with a way too high dose of cilantro, the meat was dry and cold. And the little that we ate made us both feel bloated. The churros were baked way too hard to eat them in an easy way and were way too sweet. I've lived in Puerto Rico and I might have high standards for when it comes to Mexican food or Mediterranean, but I would never return here again. read more

We were told told you don't find good Mexican food in Prague, but we decided to give this nicely decorated Mexican a try and we're glad we did. The vegetable tamales with mole was the best we've had. Excellent Mexican food in Prague! What a pleasant surprise!! We are here for a week and have enjoyed the Czech food very much but being from Texas we were craving some familiar food from back home. Found this place through Yelp and had to give it a try. Guacamole and margaritas were excellent. The tacos and salsa were equally amazing. Great atmosphere as well. Great food, impeccable service, fantastic drinks...what more can I say? Go - go if you are American and lament the Czech-Mex that is our usual lot; go if you are tired of Czech food. Studying abroad in Europe, it can be a challenge to find a good Mexican place, something I find myself craving all the time. And then, we found Agave. Located near the city center in Prague, Agave is exactly what I needed. The decor inside is very modern and cool and our waiter was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu. We started with chips and guacamole and it was delicious and was devoured quickly. It was a good portion for two, but could have fed three, less hungry, people, too. We also started with frozen mango margaritas which were strong, not too sweet and very mango-y. The sugared rim was a yummy touch as well. For dinner, we both got the mushroom quesadillas. They were LOADED with a variety of different mushrooms, creating a very welcome flavor palette and range of textures. On the side was a small serving of rice and beans, very good! The portion was also huge, I got to take home some leftovers for later. My friend is from California and she gave it the stamp of approval, something I've seen many other reviewers say. If you're looking for an excellent Mexican meal abroad, this is the place! read more

Wow, best nachos I have ever had. I usually view Mexican restaurants as relaxing and open, but this was unexpectedly classy: the lighting was dark, there were candles, and even the nachos looked fancy! I suggest to go during happy hour because 20% of appetizers and special prices on drinks. I got three frozen mango margaritas, and it was so good. read more

My goodness, as a Southern California girl, this place was so great! I know Mexican food, from my family to eating out, and this takes the cake. I could not have asked for better Mexican food while traveling abroad. The mushroom quesadilla was delicious. My boyfriend had the fish tacos and loved them. Washed down with frozen mango margaritas (for me) and ended with the tres leches for dessert. The tres leches was sooooooo good!! I highly recommend. Would definitely come back here. The sauce on the top was not overwhelming and fused perfectly with the sweet corn (the corn was amazingly sweet). Great vegetarian Mexican food. Recommend the fried avacado tacos. We really needed some familiar food after a week in Europe and nothing says home to a Californian like Mexican food. The choices were familiar but with enough of a twist to be interesting (fried avocado tacos!). Salsas were just ok - but I am very very snobby about my salsa. My wife and and I tried this place to change up the pasta routine while in Prague from the US for a week. The food, atmosphere, and service was absolutely top-notch! Not only was it some of the best Mexican food we've ever had, but also one of our two favorite meals while in Prague. They gave me a spicy meatball as an amuse-Bouche, which absolutely blew me away, and the margaritas were brilliant! My wife is a vegetarian and we're both picky when it comes to Mexican food, but Agave didn't disappoint on either account. Do yourself a favor and eat there tonight! Was never expecting to eat Mexican food in Prague of all places, but our food was superb. We had the burrito frijoles con queso, which was stuffed with rice beans and grilled veggies.. Very fresh Ingredients and the spicy sauce was indeed very spicy. We also had the tinga pollo tacos which were seasoned perfectly. As for drinks, we had the vodka boca chica and tequila mint julep, both of which were outstanding drinks, not too sweet or watered down. Seriously the best Mexican in Prague - the margaritas are to die for. Me and my friends would go here before going out or after class. It is so delicious and authentic Mexican food. They spice the food up a little bit so it makes it a little more high end Mexican food. I would recommend the chicken tacos or the chicken quesadilla. The strawberry and mango margaritas are also to die for. They put sugar on the rim with a dried lime inside that adds an extra kick. We looked for a restaurant which isn't chock-full by tourists. I checked the restaurant on yelp before we got in. To be honest: I can't read the Czech posts, but the rating itself could be paid by Agave. Although the restaurant was almost empty when we got in, it took ages to get our food. Food is ok, but everyone who knows only a little how to swing the cooking spoon could do it by himself. Compared to other restaurant in the area Agave is more expensive for what you get. read more
