Always had a good experience with Ageless Art. While the building appears a little beat-down, all of the employees know what they're doing and the shop is clean. Their piercer, Matt, is honest and a real professional. He clearly knows what he's doing. Prices are more than fair, especially for the level of service and experience brought to the job, and I find myself coming back here over and over again because of it. You're not going to find a better piercing shop in the entirety of Louisville or SoIn. Can't recommend enough. read more

I had been looking forward to getting my ears pierced with my cousin for months. I had been looking at their website and knew that in order to get an appointment, that you had to call day of as close to noon as possible. So I did that, I called at 12:10, the person that answered was not helpful. They asked what they could do for me after not saying anything after picking up for phone for ten seconds, and I said that I wanted to make an appointment for my cousin and I. She was silent for many seconds and then said that they don't take appointments, walk-ins only. I was confused because on the website it said appointment only, and to call at noon to make an appointment. So I was like I guess they changed their policy. I drove over 30 minutes to get there, and when I walked in I was declined service because they do not take walk-ins. The lady that "helped" us could not have cared less, even when I told her what the worker had said to me. I suggested that she have a talk with the workers because, and I quote from her, "This happens all the time". How can your workers not know what to do in situations like this, especially when policy is on the website and likely have people in everyday for piercings. So she said try calling again tomorrow. So my aunt called them at 12:04 today, the following day, to get our name on the list to call back and make our appointment at 1. They called her back and said they were fully booked up for the day, and would only be able to have an appointment for one at 1 o'clock, which was the time that they called her back. The lady was rude, and not helpful, they clearly do not care about helping people or getting business so do not go here. There are plenty of other great places to go with much nicer and more helpful people. The management clearly seems to be lacking, so don't waste your time, money, or gas to try and go here. read more

I went in to get my first ear lobe piercing in January with a gentleman I can't remember his name. Super nice guy, said he was the best in town. My left ear was perfect, right ear hole is too low and now when I wear earrings they look like they're holding on for dear life. When I called to see if they'd offer any discount to re-pierce their mistake they said no and also said I would need to get both ears re-pierced? That didn't make sense to me. No hate just saying, if you didn't do a good job then wouldn't you say something or offer to redo it? read more

I found out about Ageless Art through countless recommendations from friends- literally! SO MANY. I was looking to get a piercing done (my industrial, specifically) and almost everyone I asked recommended Ageless Art. I live in Louisville but never mind driving over the bridge, so I made a field trip out of it (I like to hit up China Bistro in New Albany after getting any body modifications- it's tradition!). Matt was the one who I had the pleasure of being skillfully stabbed in the ear by! He was SO AWESOME. If there is something I appreciate in another person, it is attention to detail and passion for their trade. Matt has both of those qualities. He was very precise when marking where he would pierce me. The whole thing didn't take very long and he explained the healing process of this particular piercing in detail BEFORE I got it just in case I might change my mind (the industrial can take up to a year to heal). I really appreciated that! I have also gotten a tattoo done there by Adam Hicks. When I went in to get my industrial done, I saw some already drawn up tattoos posted on boards- one of them was a HILARIOUS Deadpool tattoo that I later found out was done by Adam. I messaged him on Instagram about it and we set up the appointment! He was just as excited to do it as I was to have it done. It took about five hours (one session) and Adam was super fun to hang out with! We watched a Goofy Movie during our session and I got to know some of the other artists in the shop including the owner, Phil! I gotta say- everybody was awesome. If you are looking to get any kind of body modification done, I HIGHLY recommend Ageless Art! I felt right at home there. I gave him a description of what we both wanted and sent pictures - they were happy to have us in! When we went into the shop they were welcoming and had the pictures I sent pulled up ready to start designing! They tweaked what we wanted and made them both perfect. Went in for an estimate this week and seemingly went the way that I expected. I wasn't shown any portfolios and the artist at the counter lacked any customer service. He might as well been washing his hands in front of me while giving me the lowdown of his owners shop hours too. OCD or AAT?? I couldn't tell what he abbreviating in his customer code manners. If you need a tetanus shot before greeting any of your customers just say so. I faded out the door quicker than any of their tattoo work might do in the future while they fake that it won't right in front of you. read more
