As a trauma survivor I can tell you this business does NOT support trauma survivors when self care is exactly what survivors need and with 25 years of experience by this Doctor you would think there would be multiple articles on how he tries to save lives through his expertise, he doesn't. The spa was great 20 years ago but it is a disaster today. There are multiple reviews about Raquel but when you make and appt with her and wait 3 months she doesn't show up. Then the receptionist thinks it's okay, it's not. I asked about a surgery and the receptionist said it would be no problem for Dr Schenden. That same week I call for an appt and a lady said he doesn't do this procedure any more? Did he forget? NO he is now just money hungry, SAD, just SAD. Then she recommends another clinic without a name of a doctor, very unprofessional. Folks, don't buy the old reputation, this is now a bunch of money hungry narcissist who do NOT care about humans!!

Staff is very nice! I have never had to wait too long past…read moremy scheduled appt time. I think the longest was 30 min, but my appts are not until after 5:30pm. I had very bad acne. I was given two medications and a prescription night-time cream (I also could use regular oxy cleanser so I didn't have to spend $$$) and the results are stunning! Having suffered from acne my entire adult life I tried everything, and finally one day I decided to see someone. I have been a patient here for 5 months and my skin has not looked this good since high school!!! My last visit they showed me the pictures they took at my first appt and I almost cried, if I hadn't know the pictures were mine I would have thought it was someone else. I really enjoy the products they have me use. I am happy with the quality and cost of the products/prescriptions. I go every 3 weeks to have Janette treat any break outs I may have, and she has taken the time to talk to me every appt to find out if I have any concerns, questions, and even has some samples of different cleansers and moisturizers. I am very happy with the service and results.

Was told at my app't my insurance was inactive & they refused to call insurance (but it was active) so I had to leave which was a wasted trip for me. Called them to say it is active and went around & around with them. They said billing says my insurance won't pay them. My insurance said billing was angry when they called them to say yes they pay. Always very long wait times. Wrong med ordered for me. Whatever pharmacy or insurance tells me about contacting them the office tells me the opposite.

I even started going to Rhonda when she was located on Rochester, near 13 mile, before moving to Birmingham. Rhonda and her team of aestheticians are out of this world good. I used to get my dermabrasion with a diamond head, it would take off so much dead skin. I think they got rid of the diamond and replaced it with a paddle. It's just as effective, maybe not resulting in as much visual skin slough. I have had dermal planing, skin chemical peels here as well and I used to buy my Latisse lash serum from here. Rhonda was always amazing and so delicate, but precise and doing extractions if needed. My skin was always glowing after procedure here. They are skin magicians here. I don't come as often, since I bought my own dermabrasion machine for the house. They do have some gifts, like SPF 50 hats and other fashionable items. I bought a couple sun hats here over the years. If you have any skin issues, this is the place to go to. You'll be in great hands and soon enough and great skin. ;)

Okay so i waited a few days before getting on here. I actually got such a fast reply when i was…read morelooking to schedule a facial which is a plus. Because when you feel like "My skin needs this" and then you have a long wait or no openings makes you put off treating your skin right. (or maybe its just me). Okay back to the scheduling of this appointment with Aesthetic Theory Detroit (ATD). I click on the tab to request appointment on yelp and I love that right away i was taken to a quick few questions what my concerns were along with a few other questions. Because when deciding on a facial it can be a bit overwhelming if you don't know what would work. I was happy that it didn't take long before i got a reply back with suggestion what facial would work based on my concerns. I got schedule for a few days later and I was on my way to having a Dermal infusion. Day of my appointment everything was smooth from the minute I walked in, I answered a few questions and then I was taken to a room where my facial started right away. It didn't take long maybe 45min total if you count the time it took me to fill out the information on the ipad, now let me tell you BEAUTY IS PAIN and this might not be for everyone but the end results is so worth. And of course consistency with your skin care regimen is a must, I saw the difference in my skin with just 1 appointment. It also helps that they take before and after pictures so you can see the progress but honestly I saw it after 1 visit. I did schedule for another one in about a month because its a PRICEY but 1's a month you can make it work because your skin will thank you. I loved how i didnt feel pressure to buy anything or like I was being given a sales pitch during my facial. 2 days after the facial I did get a few little breakout but I was told that would happen because of the treatment from the Dermal inusion. But Heather did a fabulous job and i'm looking forward to getting my skin right and the next appointment I have.
