Every single part of the process was absolutely perfect, and so much more than I had expected. When I called in to schedule my initial visit, my scheduler was very accommodating and able to find the best time on the best day for my appointment. I was provided a link to pre-register for the appointment. On my arrival for my initial visit, the front desk folks were friendly and welcoming and because I'd pre-registered, my check-in process was very quick and easy. I didn't have to wait more than a few minutes to be taken back. The medical assistant who conducted my intake interview was friendly, efficient and thorough, as were the radiology technicians who performed my CT scan, and then I was evaluated by the surgeon. Dr Douglas Cowan is an extremely gifted physician; I'm always nervous about medical procedures, but he immediately put me at ease. He is so down-to-earth! He took the time to examine me and thoroughly explained the results of the CT scan and his recommendations for treatment. He answered all my questions (and I had a lot of them!) and was very reassuring. To tell the truth, when I made the initial appointment, I wasn't sure about having the procedure done, but after spending time with Dr Cowan I was very comfortable and actually looked forward to the procedure! After the initial visit, the office contacted me to schedule the procedure; Kim in Insurance Precertification also contacted me to let me know the procedure had been approved by my insurance company. What a gift, to have all the administrative details taken care of! During the procedure itself, Dr Cowan and his assistants all did their utmost to make me comfortable and to reassure me. They asked me what kind of music I'd like to listen to, and made sure the topical anesthetic had taken effect. The procedure took less than an hour, and Dr Cowan talked me through it, letting me know what was happening every step of the way. I was thoroughly briefed before and after the procedure regarding post-op instructions, and they even gave me a phone number so that I could text Dr Cowan and his nurse if I had questions! How wonderfully accessible is THAT?! I did have some questions the night of the procedure, so I was very grateful to have that method of communication available. My follow-up appointment two weeks out was just as smooth and pleasant as everything else had been; Dr Cowan examined me and was very encouraging, giving me lots of information regarding what to expect in the next three to six months. I've had an uneventful post-procedure course, and I am SO glad I had it done! I absolutely recommend ENT Associates in Lee's Summit, and ESPECIALLY Dr Cowan, for anyone requiring care of their sinuses. They are an incredible group of professionals who provide stellar medical care!

Their ENT, "Dr." Daniel Sleve botched a simple surgery on my nasal inferior turbinates by taking so much tissue he ruined their function permanently. I now have been diagnosed with the 100% surgically created condition called Empty Nose Syndrome. As a company, they have decided to throw me to the curb instead of doing the right thing and hold their doctor accountable. They know the increased malpractice insurance rates and damaged community image would be a consequence so they have instead chosen to keep my money and leave me to cope with what they've done to me by myself. If you value your quality of life with breathing through your nose then DO NOT USE ASCENTIST "HEALTHCARE" (laughable) for any procedure!!!

After I checked in, I was asked to go to the 2nd floor to check in to see the doctor. I didn't have to wait too long before a nice young lady called my name to do a CAT Scan of my sinuses. That took all of 44 seconds. She then led me to the examination room to wait for Dr. Cowan. They came in about 5 minutes later to discuss the scan. He explained it clearly to where I understood what he was talking about. His nurse Cady is super sweet! She stayed behind to schedule my surgery and follow up visit. I haven't been to a health facility where the entire staff was pleasantly nice the way this facility treated me.

My hearing was tested at every visit, and I'll be coming back to see them about hearing aids. The staff is attentive, and they take the time to talk through your issues with you. I learned that I have some genetically driven hearing loss. My wife has been telling me I can't hear for years, but this is more than "selective" hearing loss. :-) I would recommend these folks whole heartedly :-)

Septoplasty: 30+ years of deviated septum fixed!…read more Went to Dr. Walls early last year re: heavy sinus congestion and a deviated septum. Turns out I only was getting 10% air flow through my left nostril from an incident in the early 90's. We tried non-surgical treatments throughout the summer that did not make much of a dent. Opted for septoplasty in early December (I travel for work; needed the holiday season to be able to avoid flying for 3 weeks). Procedure went smoothly. I had heard horror stories about the recovery process. Perhaps because I was anchored on how bad it would be, was very pleasantly surprised. The 5 or so days while the packing and stints were still in place were uncomfortable, but never painful. Sleep was difficult. The hardest thing was halting exercise/activities for 3 weeks afterwards. Just had my 8 week checkup and everything is looking great. Enjoying being able to breathe normally for the first time in my adult life. Thanks Dr. Walls (and your amazing team!). Highly recommended!

Customer service is terrible and the physician assistant who was shadowing the ENT doctor we had an appointment with was barking orders at our 5-year-old daughter. Talk about not having bedside manners. We were referred to get an ENT consultation here for our daughter's tonsils by her dentist. The ENT doctor we saw recommended a tonsillectomy and then asked if our dentist recommended a labial frenectomy. He told us we could get that done through him too, but then corrected himself because he knew that the dentist we see also does frenectomies. It was interesting to see him try to take business from the very person who referred us to him. I would not recommend this place.
