A few years later and Aggiefood has come a long way in terms of being up front about fees and the like. The guaranteed tipping is a nice service that I believe, on the whole, should exist despite the fact that a few drivers have taken advantage of it. It has resulted in one or two not so great experiences, but otherwise I can't complain too much. Just be prepared for the fact that Aggiefood won't give you an up front estimate of time until you've paid. There's also no canceling once you've put your order in. So if you've paid and the tracker says you have a two hour wait? Well, good luck. Am still happy to be an Aggiefood patron, but can we put up front estimated wait times on the wish list? read more

They offer free 1st delivery yet the coupon code only takes off $2.99 but the delivery fee was $5. Additionally, you are forced a gratuity fee. Sneaky Business! The Restaurants on AggieFoods are all great. However, the service company itself is sneaky with fees. My girlfriend and I have ordered from this service multiple times and did not notice they were adding fees into our orders. Recently she got Samsung pay and got a notification that her card was swiped FIVE hours after the delivery...Apparently they have an additional fee for deliveries which involves distance. 1) Its really shady that it took 5 whole hours to figure out the distance... 2) THIS FEE IS NOT SHOWN ANYWHERE IN THE ORDER OR CHECKOUT PROCESS. The fee is $1/mile after 3 miles which is ABSURD! In Texas everything is spread out..There is NO reason we should have to pay an extra $7 for a $20 meal. We are disgusted and will NEVER use this service again! I hope that many people read this and beware...they WILL cheat you. read more

I have using this service for two years and ordered 20 times from them and they messed up the order for 5 times out of that.My whole experience with them is a disaster. I'll just list one instance: They missed an item on delivery and then I asked them about it and did not even asked for the the item to be delivered (just to notify them that it was missing).Upon receiving the notification, they banned me from the service. I did not knew about the ban until my next delivery. The delivery guy confronted me about the ban and I replied that I had no idea about it.Later he talked with aggiefood and lifted the ban (kudos to him for that!) Given the fact that the operate in a college town, they have to understand their customer base. A gratuity fee (which increases when ordered over $15) on top of the delivery fee increases the cost of the food significantly. I understand that they might have a narrow margin about the whole delivery thing and now to compete with similar delivery service (Favor) but that does not mean you have to treat your customers unkindly ( I am not talking about the delivery people, they rock!). Shady, shady! I've used Aggiefood once in the past and was super happy to see that one of my favorite restaurants was added to their service. Well, I was happy until I noticed that not only are they charging you $2.99 delivery fee (which I am fine with), but they are also upcharging 20% on all the food prices. A lunch plate that would cost me $8.99 if I ordered it at the restaurant would cost me $11.24 through Aggiefood! This is theft! No where on their website or Facebook page do they disclose they are charging you more money than you would pay if you ordered directly from the restaurant and picked it up yourself. I checked other restaurants they contract with and they are upcharging 20% on them too (so it wasn't just this one restaurant I was looking at). After speaking with owner update: From what I hear, this is a Los Cucos problem because they didn't change the menu price- the general manager should have offered to go and dispute the charge and get a refund to me. The way the manager spoke was unacceptable, owner took slight sharp tone with me as defending his staff. Though that did not happen, the owner says he will make sure it does- will update when it happens. After speaking to multiple other people who have had issues with this particular manager, they say nothing ever really changes. The owner said there were some personal things going on when I called and that he spoke to him. Unfortunately, I don't think this is a complete solution and there should be a better way to have updates like favor and Uber eats does. I've attached pictures for all to see the over charge. All in all the phone call was not extremely helpful except maybe slightly toward possibly getting the money I over paid back. The owner told me to take down the managers name as they had my information to so why would I post his name if they could do the same and aren't. In my opinion he works somewhere and is the manager so that info is not as hard to attain as mine, but I'll do that so I can hopefully get any fix to this issue. As for the resolution, I asked for an apology from the manager, and I told owner that I would send him names of other people who deserved one if they wanted one! Updates on if anything happens will be posted. ORIGINAL POST: I had been overcharged by a lot- my food totaled $25 and I paid $43. After multiple emails and no response, I decided to call the company. They said "that was a menu update issue" so I asked to be refunded. *Name removed per owners request* General Manager refused to help, talked over me repeatedly, would not get me in contact with the owner and said straight to me "I won't give you his number." He said I agreed to pay extra by using the service. I get that I pay a delivery fee and all that other bs, I don't mind, but they added extra money onto all of my menu items. I love AggieFood.com!!! I use them pretty frequently whether I'm at home or at work. They're usually pretty fast and the drivers are always nice. The absolute only problem I've ever had is not receiving a condiment or the "fixins" for something that I specifically asked for (BBQ sauce, bread slices, pickles/onions, sweet & sour sauce...you get the picture). Besides that I love their restaurant options and will continue to use them. I will say, I wish that they did the same thing Favor does where the driver text updates the customer. So I actually didn't read the negative reviews on here before using to order or might not have gone through this delivery service. I actually checked to see if they were on yelp after the fact to give a good review because I was impressed with the timeliness. Sadly, for a college town, it seems like college station is lacking in delivery options. there are about 6 restaurants to choose from that aggie food delivers. I placed my order online (aggiefood.com) since the menus for the restaurants are on the site. Very easy to select things you want or don't want with your order. There is a $2.99 delivery charge....I received my food in 30 minutes even though the site estimated an hour when I placed the order...so I was impressed. The delivery guy was nice and that was the only person I interacted with. I'll use again and hopefully will continue to have positive experiences. read more

Scam fees. Tonight we ordered food from Aggie Food delivery. They added delivery and gratuity fees automatically and listed them. I agreed to the tip even though it should never be added automatically, but whatever. Then after the food was delivered, they went back and charged another fee for delivering. The restaurant is less than 2 miles from my home. When. I called to complain, I was told to read the fine print and have myself a good night. So in short, they ripped me off. Never using them again! I'm very confused as to why there are so many bad reviews on this site.....I've ordered from aggiefood over 15 times (....I'm a lazy one) at least and every time they are extremely competent and come on time if not earlier! The food is always fresh and I've never had any complaints with using them. This is an excellent business and by far my favorite delivery service I've used... the site is easily manageable and the pricing is fair! They charge the 10% to the business not the customer.....brilliant!! The delivery fee is $3-4...you really can't beat that. I've been extremely happy with using them and have never had any problems with using them unlike some of the reviews on yelp. Only thing I wish they had was buffalo wild wings or some Vietnamese restaurant on the menu....but its no big deal:) read more

Ordering PeiWei and having it delivered sounded too good to be true...and it kind of was. While my order was delivered as promised and on time, I was charged a delivery fee AND gratuity for a $24 order. And only after my card was charged and I was emailed a receipt was it made clear that an additional $4 was added on for "distance". Ummmm I live within the city limits. Nothing weird. I feel like a company boasting the name "Aggie" shouldn't lie, cheat nor steal. I placed a delivery order through aggiefood.com because my favorite pizza place, Antonio's Pizza, only takes orders through the aggiefood.com website anymore. A while after placing my order i get a phone call from a Georgia phone number (I didn't pick up), and a voicemail telling me Antonio's doesn't have an item I ordered in stock. So I have to call Antonio's and get the order fixed myself. No big deal, but it would have been easier to call Antonio's directly and place my order. After placing an order, aggiefood.com asks you for feedback about their service. I left a comment about my experience letting them know that I didn't get the point of ordering food through their website if they don't actually know what a restaurant has in stock, and I have to call the restaurant anyway to get my order straight. About 10 minutes later I get a phone call from some guy that works at aggiefood.com and he tells me he didn't appreciate my comment and starts arguing with me about how good their customer service is. If you call people that respond to your request for feedback and argue with them, then you don't have good customer service. The guy from aggiefood.com told me that their service makes it easier on restaurants, since they don't have to "deal with" talking to customers. Since when is it a hassle for a business to "deal with" the people that give you their money? I made the point that aggiefood.com it made it less convenient for me as a customer. Let's just say that we didn't come to a consensus in our conversation. To top it off, when my order came, they hadn't taken the out of stock item off the bill, the driver tried to call his bosses at aggiefood.com for the actual price (no one answered), and we had to do the math ourselves to figure out the correct charge. If I didn't have to give a star, I wouldn't. I received terrible customer service from Aggiefood. When the $70 order was incorrect, I was told they would fix it. After 40 minutes, they called and told me "Sorry, we are at the mercy of the restaurant so you are out of luck" (and out of money). I have used Aggiefood since the Fall of 2014 (1 year ago), and I absolutely love them. They have always been on time, and the food has always been just as fresh as if I had gone to pick it up myself. Recently I had an issue where some food had been delivered to the wrong address. The dispatcher, and owner I believe, named Keith, was incredible in helping me get this issue sorted out. The restaurant I had ordered from closed before they were able to get me another order of food, and Keith quickly called me and resolved the issue. I ended up getting food from another amazing restaurant, free of charge. Aggiefood is not only a great idea for those who do not want to drive to pick up food after class, or those who live far from any decent restaurants (like me), but they are also a small business that will bend over backwards to make their customers happy. The company probably only lost $25-$30 to get my food delivered to me tonight, but they gained a customer who will remain loyal and who will continue to use them at least once a week. My only issues with Aggiefood have come about just quite recently. It is no longer possible for you to choose your tip if you order online, with a card, and your order is more than about $15. Y'alls drivers deserve more than the $3 tip that automatically comes with a $15 order, and I wish I was able to give it to them with my card. The other issue is that they no longer send out emails to let you know when the driver has arrived/left the restaurant with your order. Until just recently this didn't really matter. But, it would have been nice to know when the driver left the restaurant with my food, so I would have been able to figure out that the food didn't arrive at my house when an email came in saying "your order has been delivered". I'm one of the many people who only posts on Yelp if they are extremely satisfied, or extremely angry. I would say that Aggiefood has, without a doubt, made me a very happy young man. No matter whether you are simply lazy and don't want to drive, located far from any decent food, or just tired after a long day of classes; Aggiefood is the right decision. I don't understand why this service has such a bad rating on Yelp (other than the fact that as of now, only six people have written reviews). I've ordered from Aggiefood 10's of times, and I have never had a problem. They deliver the food I order, in the time frame specified (usually 45-60 minutes), and that's it. It sounds like the people in charge of dealing with customer service might be a bunch of assholes, but the fact that in all the times I've used this service, I've never once needed to talk to them should be at least some credit in the company's favor. The drivers have always been courteous. The biggest complaint I can think to make is that their selection of restaurants is pretty limited, but if you want delivery from one of the places they offer, it's a good choice. read more

This business has come a long way; the website is easy to use and meticulously detailed to make sure you order exactly what you want, and serves ~25 quality restaurants now with more drivers on staff to ensure promptness. The drivers keep the food in hot bags so it stays hot and fresh. It is rare that you do not get your food in ~half the "estimated delivery time" and the drivers are very polite. I was visiting my friend and we decided to order from here. After waiting for almost 2 hours we called and inquired about our order and the guy on the phone proceeded to tell us they had cancelled our order and had called and left us a message. Giving that was a roommates phone number they had called we never got the message. So after we hung up the phone the "manager"/"owner" kept texting my friends phone harassing him with rude comments. How mature and professional, right?! when we called the number back again to get a name of the "owner", he would only give us his first name of Kyle and again was being rude and sarcastic. Upon delivery, I noticed aggiefood had hiked up the price of each item by 1.5x and they charged delivery fee and gratuidy for the driver... my 20 dollar meal ended up costing me 40 dollars. By far the worst customer service in the food industry in my experience to date. After two hours post ordering, food had not arrived. Called the main number to inquire about the order, rep did not have any information on the order and had to "call me back." After a much later call back, I was transferred to dispatch. I was then informed that the restaurant in which the order was placed had ran out of an ingredient and the order couldn't be filled, but they now had the ingredient and aggiefood.com could put a rush on the order and would eliminate the delivery fee ($2.99...grand gesture) but I would have to go online and re-place the order. Said no thank you, I had waited long enough, and to please cancel the order. I was then met with laughing on the other end of the phone and a dial tone. No confirmation, no cancellation email...nothing. The customer service was juvenile, unprofessional and all around horrific. Do yourself a favor...stay away from this "service." read more

Ive been using aggie food for two years with no major problems but tonight ended everything. First the driver called asking where my apartment was located, he hung up on me as soon as I started giving directions but showed up minutes after. Which has never happened before. Then the same driver came back 30 mins after delivery claiming that payment was not recieved. The driver was in such a hurry that he didn't hand me a receipt the first time. Word of caution, always get a receipt from these drivers or else they might come back hasseling you for more money. I talked with someone in the main office and they refused to believe their driver was at fault. So in the end I paid for the meal, delivery, and the "gratuity" twice. I was so excited when I thought I could order food to be delivered that wasn't pizza! I ordered my food at 11:49 am and was told it would be delivered at 12:35. I took my lunch break at 12:30. They arrived after 1:00 and the food was cold. The delivery driver flippantly asked "oh, am I late?" When I called they told me my order was put in after 12:00. I ordered from Pita Pit. I was unaware this service was not apart of that company (I assume). I left a comment simply recommending the offer coupons because without that discount plus being charged for delivery, that I would be unable to tip the delivery driver. I received an email that essentially told me that if I can not tip then it is the same as not tipping a waitress and that I should pick up my own food. At that point I felt my food would have arrived tainted. I attempted to contact Pita Pit. She said it was a 3rd party and they could not refund my money. I attempted contacting Aggiefood. They hung up twice. Then a loud 'drift car' pulled up. I walked outside and said that I canceled the order. He was obviously irate. Apparently the driver is the owner or it is just a couple of guys picking up food and delivering all from a cellular line. My return email and calls are now ignored. $18.00 was charged in which I have since contacted my bank to pursue fraudulent charges. Considering previous reviews and my 1st experience...I think this represents the Pita Pit poorly as well and will not be giving them any of my business. This is a shame as I was seeking a healthy alliterative for delivery and it was my 1st experience with them as well. *Update* 10 mins later there was a voicemail from Aggiefood stating they will not refund my money.
