I can't tell you the amount of times myself ordered Gumby's in college or the amount of times my family has ordered Gumby's post college! Their pizza rolls are the best in college station or ever for that matter and you definitely have to mix the ranch and jalapeño ranch! Their pizzas are also all great even their specialty pizzas. We have never eaten there and usually pick it up or get it delivered however if it's a gameday weekend be prepared to wait over an hour for delivery, so we usually order ahead of time knowing there will be a long wait. While at CStat for the weekend, this place was highly recommended. We ordered a spring Cesar salad and a stoner pie. The pizza came out about 20 minutes later and while hot, the toppings like the waffle fries and cut up cheese sticks had a slightly old freezer taste. Not bad probably would order something different next time. The biggest down side was when the pizza came, I asked about the salad and they said "he was making it" 15 minutes go by and still no salad. Grew up eating Gumby's in Illinois, and was a nostalgia place for me for sure.. Honestly thought they had gone out of business entirely but heard that San Marcos + College Station still had stores going.. Had to make a stop on my travels through the state and it was beyond worth it! Was even better than my fond memories of it growing up.. The wings were very flavorful and the pepperoni rolls were delicious especially with the dipping sauces. The garlic butter really has no flavor except pure butter and nothing special about the ranch, but it goes well with everything. Overall, decent pricey for delicious food. It is super only though, so if you don't the heart attack food, then come on down to support these guys. We'll definitely be back to try other things that also sound delicious. Went here after the A&M/SC game (10/28/23) that is my friend's family tradition after a game. He is from Austin and knew of the one there and it is a good place to soak up the alcohol you consume from tailgating! I got the Big Popper and Pepperoni rolls along with a dozen wings (teriyaki and garlic parmesan) and a slice of cheese pizza. This was plenty of food for me to be able to take some home. I would stick with the garlic parmesan wings and next time will try the veggie flatbread that some of the kids got. Also, get the jalapeno ranch dressing to dip the wings and crust of pizza. So this happened today: I was picking up a To Go order and noticed this bike parked illegally (this is my major pet peeve that bikers think the loading space of the disabled parking is a courtesy spot for them to park their bikes close to the doors) Apparently, Gumby's employees think it's perfectly fine to park here and impede possible wheelchair dependent customers. I asked and confirmed this was an empoyee's bike. When informed that it's 1) illegal 2) this area of a disabled spot isn't a "courtesy spot for bikers"3) it's extremely inconsiderate and 4) rude AND that I have friends in wheelchairs who rely on these spaces to park and patronize businesses, the employee I was speaking with (who confirmed this was an employee bike) said: "WELL, I GUESS IT'S A GOOD THING YOUR FRIEND ISN'T HERE RIGHT NOW." Those. Exact. Words. I said, well, what about other potential customers? No reply. The effing audacity. I was speechless. The Pizza is always fresh hot and tasty, they have wide variety of options. The inside of the restaurant is dim lit, has a friendly fun chill vibe to it. They are open pretty late on most nights in case you need a late night snack. The customer service for the most part has been great. I have only experienced one time where an employee was snappy, but it was about DoorDash so I can understand, they probably deal with that all day. The wait time for food isn't bad, I've never had to wait more than 20-28 minutes, when dining inside. It can be a little more pricey but most of their menu options are within reasonable price. I recommend coming here getting pizza and chilling with friends in the outdoor eating area, then walking along the area to shop. read more
