Came here for the first time. Didn't even know what Kolaches were lol, but I ordered what was recommended and wasn't let down. The staff there are super nice, fast, and patient with me because I was kind of picky. I ordered the Kolaches Pepper jack which were super delicious. I'm from Hawaii so it's basically a Portuguese sausage baked into a bun. I also ordered a dozen donuts and I just love how it's not too oily, the texture is fluffy, and it wasn't too sweet. The maple bacon and regular chocolate yeast donut were the best. The plain glaze, red velvet, and Nutella were pretty good. The parking is decent. The staff are welcoming and they stated that their Kolaches always sell out especially on Texas A&M game days.

Assortment of donuts that we tried - maple bacon, old fashioned, and blueberry glazed.

Service was quick and donuts were all super yummy! Have to go back to try the kolache because they looked really good!

Best Kolache's in College Station, maybe TX. I was in town visiting A&M and tried Kai's on my first morning and loved it. The Boudin was my favorite but it was all great. And at my request Kai also made extra strong coffee that was delicious. I tried another place the second day and it was not nearly as good, so I went back to Kai's every other day. This is a family owned and operated business with Kai and his wife doing everything and doing it very well. Go by and see them, you will not be sorry.

I've been thinking about checking this place since 3 years ago, and I finally did it today. I came here around 7 am in the morning and most of the items are not on the glass cabinet yet. I was so upset they no longer have S'mores donut, and the person working there was so confused when I said "S'mores donut"....Apple fritter is not available at the moment i ordered... so pretty much I wasn't able to get my personal favorite. I ordered maple bacon, Cookie Monster (based on the reviews on yelp), and the check-in offer glazed donut. The maple bacon one is just made to be served (still warm!!!). I think the hint of the warmness improves the taste of maple bacon. The dough is soft and tasty, the bacon is perfectly seasoned, but I don't like the maple frosting. The maple frosting taste like low quality maple syrup with added sugar and artificial maple flavoring. But overall it's warm and tasty. The Cookie Monster is nothing to write home about. I'm actually surprised at the taste of the glazed donut. I know it is so basic and nothing fancy. However because they did a good job making the dough, this piece of basic stuff turned to be very good.

Tasted day old. Off-putting taste. Nothing more to say. If you want to stay in business, upgrade.

I had a good amount of different donuts. They are pretty good! They are not too rich, and easy to eat.

It is absurd not to offer refills of coffee to customers that done in! Especially on a $2.70 per cup price!

It is conveniently located right across the street from TAMU's campus so most patrons were walking up, but they also offer a very small parking lot. I got to try the Kyoto cold brew, which tasted like a geisha coffee to me due to its fruity and floral nature. This will be my go to coffee drink next time I am visiting someone in cstat and a very pleasant surprise after what was described to me as a "stronger cold brew". The staff is quiet nice and as helpful as they can be. Restrooms were clean and just from my observing their open kitchen, their granola looked amazing.

Both drinks had really good flavors that impressed me. The kyoto tasted like a geisha coffee with vibrant floral notes. The iced aussie had a nice mix of lavender and oat milk that blended smoothly with the espresso. Excited to have found this gem in college station. It is also so close to campus and easily accessible for students. The service was quick and nice and there was enough seating inside to get work done. I think I also have good memories here because I watched Lando win the WDC while sipping on my coffee :)

There is plenty of seating inside and a great patio space to enjoy the weather and catch up. I also had no issues w the wifi or finding chargers. It's a chain, and the coffee tastes like it is from a chain. The only saving grace is that there are actual human baristas pulling shots from a quality Slayer machine instead of just pressing buttons on a super-automatic Thermoplan machine. However, the coffee they use is extremely average (even though they claim it's freshly roasted) and the shots pulled are okay at best. Same for the food. We got a strawberry and a cream cheese kolache and they were chewy and doughy instead of being soft and pillowy like in most other places in town. Very disappointing. The service was excellent and the baristas were more than happy to indulge my questions about the coffee and equipment used. The atmosphere is also cool and hip (my guess as to why this place is so highly rated). I assume they have free WiFi too (not sure) which is bound to attract even more people. They actually have single-origin coffees which I wished they could use for espresso (I asked but they said those are for pour-overs only). Pardon me if this review seems snobbish, but the coffee culture in Bryan-College Station is shaping up quite nicely and this place doesn't keep up with the competition, unfortunately.
