The owners are a very nice lot, talkative, funny, willing to explain their dishes and traditions to everyone who's not familiar with this hidden corner of Italy (like me). At alla Frasca you will be able to sample the traditional Friuli fare, but they proudly define themselves as a porcini mushroom-specialised restaurant. The porcini menu was AMAZING: grilled porcini on a skewer, porcini with polenta and cheese sauce, tagliatelle with porcini sauce. The wine selection is good too, try the local Cabernet-Franc.
