I made reservations for three of us at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 30th. Leading up to it, I…read morereceived at least 3 or 4 text messages asking me to confirm my reservation. I always reconfirmed yes. The last reconfirmation was Friday at noon. Imagine my shock and dismay when my friends and I arrived at noon Saturday to find that the restaurant was closed! There was a paper handwritten sign posted on the door that stated the restaurant was not opening until 3 PM. My friends and I were left standing in the cold, trying to find another place to accommodate us for our holiday luncheon and still be finished in time to attend the play at the Schuster Center which started at 2. All three of us had already paid for event parking in the Arts Garage, as one friend drove from Columbus, one from Cincinnati, and me from Centerville. I understand that emergencies can happen and a restaurant could find itself too short-staffed to open. But after receiving all those reconfirmation texts, not one text was sent to me to notify me in advance that my reservation had to be canceled, so that I had time to make other arrangements. I am so disappointed about this. Last spring I took a different friend to dinner here, also before a production at the Schuster, And we had such a wonderful meal. I was looking forward to introducing two more friends to your lovely restaurant. Now because of the lack of notice or any communication telling me that we could not be served, I am very unlikely to try again. Your system clearly had my cell phone number on file between Yelp and your restaurant website, in order to send out a notice. This is the worst form of service.

Tried 1eleven flavor house after seeing all the positive Yelp reviews. The inside isn't much to…read morewrite home about, and doesn't necessarily match the food experience we were expecting. The service was very slow and haphazard. The menu is pretty diverse and there's something for every pallet and price range. I went with the turkey burger, and my SO got the chicken alfredo. The seasoning on the food was pretty good and I enjoyed the bourbon sauce on the burger. The chicken alfredo portion was huge. Overall, 2 stars for service, 3 stars for atmosphere, 4 stars for the food for an average of 3 stars.

A delicious beef jerky store that sells, well, beef jerky. They also sell some of their hot sauces,…read morebut yes, it's definitely a beef-focused little place! They have a single table inside where you could sit if you were eating in, but it's definitely designed as a "take out" place. Since it's located in a strip mall with tons of parking, it's definitely really easy to grab and go like the place intends. PROS: -Super friendly customer service. The owner happened to be there when I came in (and I have a feeling they are there often), and he was really friendly to talk to. It's clear the employees have a lot of fun, too, as they were joking around with one another while I was there. -Wide variety of beef jerky bag sizes in addition to offering little samples before you purchase the beef jerky you want to get. I recommend the sample box of four 1.5oz samples. It even comes in a little box that's great for gift-giving! -No MSG, no nitrates, no nitrites, and no added artificial preservatives. Getting some pretty straight-from-the-source beef jerky here! CONS: -One of the major cons of any small business: they were out of some flavors when I came in. Hard to keep fresh food always-in-stock when you're a small business.

Wow. I ordered a sampling online....six or seven selections gave us a nice heat profile and flavor…read moreexpectations. Did I say "Wow"? Flavors: Everyone had a different favorite. Sufferin Baaaa was probably the "if you could only pick one" favorite, but Black Pepper Garlic anything and Sufferin Bastard were remarkable as well. We could taste that they use well trimmed top shelf beef. What we did not expect was how great the lamb jerky tasted. Every lamb flavor was someone's favorite. Everyone liked the BBQ beef very much but it was nobody's favorite. Heat Report: I'm a fan of heat to enhance the enjoyment of food. We (Americans) sometimes take a good thing and improve it until it's toxic. There is a culture around making food so spicy that your eyes water, mouth burns and nose runs when you try to enjoy the food that it is intended to compliment. This isn't that. The spicy flavors are indeed spicy but in a way that elevates the jerky instead of incinerating your ability to taste it. One diner headed for the milk, but he doesn't spicy & breaks a sweat when he uses too much ketchup. Me and My Pal: These Jerky treats, made for humans and their canine companions, stole the show. Comments ranged from "marketing brilliance" to hypersonic tail wags. There is an upscale dog bakery (seriously) in my neighborhood. Me and My Pal treats were ranked better than everything there by 3 out of 3 neighbors. I will order again soon (and often).
