I had a small issue with a get well plant order that I purchased for my niece for delivery from Agnew Florist (Watertown). Anyone can sell flower and plant arrangements but the sign of a truly good business is their customer service and how they deal with issues when they arise. I spoke with the manager and she was apologetic and very willing to go above and beyond to fix the issue, during a very busy Mother's Day weekend. The flowers were beautiful and the arrangement was fresh and professionally done. I would not hesitate to use Agnew Florist for all my plant and flower needs including weddings and any other special occasion. Thank you for your excellent customer service. I received a memorial arrangement for Agnew on the loss of my best friend. The flowers were lovely but after only one day several (especially the sun flowers and roses) were faded and drooping. I called Agnew Florist (the card indicates customers should call them if the arrangement fails to meet your expectations). The young lady who answered the phone told me I could bring the arrangement in to the shop (two towns away from me) and they would replace whatever flowers were wilted. I am expected to drive to them to have them fix what is wrong with the flowers they delivered just 2 days ago. That is the wrong answer. Pretty sure I will never use this business in the future. read more

Christmas flowers that were delayed perhaps because of the debacle with the storms arrived after Christmas ... with the delivery person trying to 'sell' this very sad excuse of an arrangement. Why sparkles on the carnations? To hide how old they were? Instead if plastic gold balls taking up space ?? Real flowers would have been preferred. Plastic crystals?! I am a bridesmaid for an upcoming wedding in February 2020. I'm helping the bride schedule appointments with different vendors. Agnew was my first pick for local florists! I have received flowers in the past from here, have consulted with them for my own wedding and know that they are reputable in town. I called to schedule a consultation and was told I would get a call back. a week went by and I had not received a response so I followed up. When I called a second time, they said someone would call me back. I informed them that I was waiting to hear back from them and had already called and provided my information. There response was "we are not interested. It's too busy for us on Valentine's day. " glad for the honest and that they can refuse business , especially a wedding, however It would have been nice to have a) gotten a call back and b) have been told in a nicer fashion. Needless to say, they won't get my recommendation or business in the future. read more

She happily stepped up in my time of need and ensured that my wedding flowers would be just perfect. She did not disappoint! I knew the colors I wanted but I did not know much else with regard to floral arrangements. Dina walked me through the process. She asked me my price point and worked with me to stay within budget. We had an initial meeting at her store where she showed me some sample arrangements and she filled out a questionnaire covering every aspect of the wedding. She provided me with many options. I ordered Sympathy flowers from Agnew 2 days before I had to attend a funeral. I first looked at their website to get an idea of what I wanted and prices. The website is great! It is very easy to navigate and very clear and detailed about describing the arrangements, (types of flowers used, size, price). I could have ordered online however, I chose to call and talk to someone. I spoke with Christine, who was just great! She was very pleasant and took her time with me, answering any questions that I had. I didn't feel like my calling was an inconvenience, (which is rare these days). The arrangement that I purchased was exactly like the one in the picture! We were very please with our whole experience - but especially the end result! My sister and I went in and told the clerk we needed a funeral wreath for 2 urns for a church altar....my aunt passed away and we had the urn of her husband also ...I had the paper from the funeral home and the dimensions.....I asked what they started at - she said $100.00..my aunt really did not want any flowers so we said ok....just do the $100.00....I get to the funeral home and there is a funeral bouquet for the floor...so I called and asked the clerk - where is the wreath and she proceeds to tell me that this is what we discussed...well, I have my sister as a witness that we said a WREATH FOR 2 URNS! Then she says that it would be much more money.....what the heck...I asked her what they started at when I got there....she also starts talking slowly to me like I am a child.....I wasn't going to spend any more money than necessary so I said just leave it.....I have used them before for flowers.....NEVER AGAIN or double check as to what you are exactly getting! read more
