After doing research on the different schools throughout the southern california region this was the most suitable for me because they are really one of the only schools within the area that offers a Unrestricted Class A passenger endorsement course. The class size was relatively small day to day and it was incredibly easy and straightforward to get one on one instruction with our star instructor and knowledgeable Jack of all trades Ada who was also a prior DMV Examiner herself at one point and decided that there weren't really enough trucking schools out there that, taught what truly needed to be taught not only to enable and empower the student to be successful on their test day. But to also have the skillset to truly shine in the industry of commercial driving, whether it was bringing it back to the basics, of how to and where to set your tire chocks for maximum safety to the advanced subjects on how to execute a turn within confined spaces with a long passenger trailer the instruction given by Ada was absolutely phenomenal. And without a doubt the best place to go for hands-on commercial driving training, Ada takes you through step by step and teaches you everything you need to know for the DMV examiners and more, she's beyond patient and will work with your schedule and makes the process incredibly easy as long as the student is willing and dedicated. Also for all the prior service members out there, AGT Trucking school, I believe is also in the final stages of getting approved for G.I Bill and other V.A tuition benefits acceptance, just call in and ask for either Ada or Jasmin. Even though I ended up having to pay out of pocket, this school is 1000 percent worth every penny and has prepared me to take on anything the commercial driving world has to throw at me. The best decision I could've ever made for my career going forward was choosing this school and I honestly believe anybody regardless of their experience levels whether absolute beginner or someone who has been out there already will truly get something from attending here. There is no time limit and no one will pressure you to take the exam until you are absolutely ready to pass. I'm actually still in shock that it only took me 3 weeks (if that) to be DMV exam ready. All in all, I truly had fun and learned a lot under Ada wise tutelage. She truly set the foundation in terms of adding to my skill set and she will with you too. AGT Trucking School is seriously amazing! Ada always did her best to work with my schedule and I was done within a month and a half. Furthermore Ada also was formerly a DMV examiner and knows so much about what the DMV will specifically be doing on the driving exam. She is very attentive and very communicative about when you are scheduled for school along with all that you need to do to pass your DMV driving test. She also knows that taking the test at the DMV in Ventura is a much better option than taking it at another DMV. I also must mention the other driving teacher whose name is George. George is an awesome driving teacher as well and does a really good job explaining everything necessary in order to pass the test. These two individuals take this education very seriously and none of them desire to see any students fail, but want students to pass the first time around. This made it very encouraging to me to know the dedication and hard work that AGT Trucking puts into their teachers and the way that they instruct their students. It doesn't matter if you have a language barrier or a hard time speaking English, AGT Trucking will find a way to translate whatever they need to and make you understand what you need to so that you can pass your test and get your CDL. The training here is pretty much one on one and that is the best thing you could ever get. Rather than being in groups and standing around and watching a bunch of other people while you do nothing you are getting your education one on one and not sitting in a classroom with a bunch of people. I recently purchased a business that requires me to have a Class A license. I started asking around for truck driving schools and was referred to AGT Trucking. I called and spoke to Ada and after a brief conversation I decided to schedule my first appointment. AGT is unique in that they work around your schedule and schedule 2-3 hour appointments. When I arrived for my first appointment I met Ada in person and she introduced me to Isaac, one of her instructors. There was no beating around the bush. Isaac immediately put me behind the wheel and started teaching me skills. By the end of the first session I was able to parallel park a big rig. As my sessions continued I worked with both Ada and Isaac. While they have very different approaches they were both patient and consistent. This is the best school hands down! Ada and Isaac are remarkable teachers and they truly want you to succeed!!! I've met people who drive hours away because they know this school is the real deal! If I could give AGT Trucking school 10 stars I definitely would. From start to finish Ada, Anastasia, Jorge, and Octavio were extremely professional, informative, and simply amazing. I was in and out in as little as 3 weeks because the instructors were that spot on. Whether it was pre trip or maneuvers, they were spot on. They were extremely supportive, understanding, and patient. They did not talk down to me or any of my fellow classmates. Which is HUGE. As far as price goes, she's middle of the road and I felt as if I got more than my moneys worth out of the school. All the staff are excellent teachers, dedicating themselves to educating the student. The owner of the school has several years experience behind the wheel of a truck and has some years experience as a dmv examiner. Best of both worlds. I can't imagine a better trucking school and I can't imagine having a better experience. I work 6 days a week and AGT worked beautifully with my crazy schedule and I got my CDL in just over 2 weeks of training which included 11 1.5 to 2-hour sessions (6 for pre-inspection and 5 driving).
