To his credit he has a few skills as a chiropractor, the adjustments he made were helpful. However, I experienced him to have a derisive and arrogant demeanor toward me throughout the session, almost as if he was competing against me, his client. I felt persistent judgement and did not feel welcome. One of the first things he said to me was that he takes me to be a person that stays in his head to much, is it really appropriate for a chiropractor that doesn't know me to give me a psychoanalysis with no knowledge of the context of my life and history? I asked him what makes you think that? He told me "I observe people and things". It sounds like he is making interpretations based on what he sees externally in people, I don't expect him to realize that this tendency will always be filtered through a person's undone trauma work which obscures accurate vision. His practice isn't individualized. I tried to explain what brought me in and as I was trying to communicate to him, he would talk over me with small talk which made me feel unheard, before I could finish explaining my circumstances, he started giving me advice and seemed to present as if he had heard enough. His advice was to do exactly what has worked for him in the past. The problem is I'm not him, I'm a unique individual like anyone else. He started prescribing me with all sorts of new practices. He never considered that I already have practices or whether I have any incongruities to the practices he strongly advised. Dr. Yost made no effort to tailor his approach in helping me in my unique circumstances that led me to look for chiropractic support in the first place. Later on I explained that I have psychological conditions, which he dismissed by saying "don't we all". I noticed him pause and then he said, I'm not here to judge anybody, which is weird given the psychoanalysis of me he started our session with, I felt very judged. As he was giving me advice, multiple times I asked him why and how this practice would help me. His responce was something along the lines of "It just is." Is he hiding behind his honorifics? After my appointment with Dr. Yost I'm not convinced he knows what he's talking about or cares about his clients. His practice is not trauma informed and he appears to be completely disconnected to any compassion for his clients, a hallmark sign of a lot of undone trauma work. Later on in the session he presented to me what sounded like a well rehearsed rhyme, "No pecks no sex." This is a disgusting thing to say to your client, especially since he asked about my sex life on the intake form. First of all this remark is coming from one of his limiting beliefs he acquired through trauma and is now projecting onto his client. Secondly what he said is flat out not true. Toward the end of our session he pulled up a YouTube video of a woman doing a yoga move, he proceeded to talk to me about how she is so good at this position and what is happening is she is pulling energy into her body through her anus. It seems like a weird thing to talk about. I suspect he is in a perpetual state of spiritual bypass which disconnects one from their humanity and is profoundly irresponsible given he is a father of a young child, in a position of social power, and a white man. It's selfish, cowardly and harmful. He is, likely with no awareness, blowing his lived and ancestral trauma through the bodies of his clients instead of being accountable for it. Unfortunately, his child will inherit all of the undone work, I'm saddened by this because it will surely have a detrimental impact on their health and quality of life as they grow up. His profession is in the field of caregiving/healing, a person like him should see his position to be that of service, compassion and understanding for his clients. Our body, our being, is a sacred thing. It saddens me that this is the kind of person that has a spacious bougie office, street level in downtown Olympia, prime location. Dr. Yost is clearly a piece of work and doesn't seem to be doing personal psychotherapy to work though what is causing him to behave so inappropriately despite it being his responsibility to do so. I suspect that he scores high on the narcissistic personality spectrum, which again would be a result of undone personal trauma work. I will never work with him again and wouldn't recommend him to you unless you are in a perpetual state of spiritual bypass, deny trauma, don't need individualized care, don't want to be cared for with compassion as his client, and are okay with being subordinated by an ignorant so called expert. If you look at his glimmering photo, you can almost see a child in there that desperately needs to heal.

(Closest surgeon to take my insurance). Now I am in incredible pain so I am going to write this right now so surgeons and staff can appreciate the experience of getting out of surgery without pain meds called in or filled. I had no idea their system was down until around 10:30am, four hours after checking in, when the thick sweat of agony began forming at my hairline. My driver took me 45 min to my local pharmacy. It wasn't called in. Called the office, oh our system is down. It wasn't working yesterday either. We have a paper copy for you to pick up. So after major surgery, this acquaintance is supposed to drive me right back and do another 90 min trip because it just occurred to the office scripts were not getting transmitted to pharmacies. Well, we hope it will be fixed by tomorrow. Have you ever recovered from surgery without meds? Sleeping with no meds after surgery? I am sorry to say this is the third time and for the exact same reason: it was forgotten. Different doctors but this appears to be a reoccurring problem for this profession. I make my kids do their homework the night before. I make sure the bag packs are by the door in the morning. Get my gist? I can't sleep and can't eat in this much pain. I am also a single mom of 3. My parents are boomers so they won't help because it interferes with their Colombo reruns. I really depend on professionals to be professionals and consider my wellbeing. I am depending on you to help me through a very rough process. Right now I cannot recommend Puget Sound Orthopaedics based on the inability to ensure I don't unnecessarily suffer.

I was a patient of Dr. Arroyo's at Puget Sound Orthopedics in Lakewood Washington. I couldn't have…read moreasked or anything better in the doctor. He is extremely intelligent, you can tell that when he took on this education that he did it to help people from the depth of his heart. I have had surgeries from other doctors who were not able to get my shoulders secure. The surgeries done by other Dr's would still fall out of joint very easily. Dr. Arroyo was very thorough with explaining the different kind of surgeries that he was going to do on each shoulder. One was done 4 years ago and hasn't fallen out of socket I feel very secure with it. The other one he completed one year ago and I only had 75% of that bone left but he was able to take a tendon from another part of my shoulder and secure that portion of the bone that was missing from that tendon. I never thought that I could use my arms again without considering the possibilities of them falling out of socket. I am sincerely grateful for a doctor that is so caring of his patients. With this particular surgery he did only two doctors in Washington state are able to perform them. When I was in between surgeries my insurance had changed and the doctor's office didn't accept the insurance that I had. I sent Dr. Arroyo a message directly to see if there was anything that he could do because he was the on of the only doctor's that could perform this surgery. He told me since I was a previous patient that he would be able to work with the insurance company and the doctor's office to get the office to be able to accept my insurance. It was hard for me to say goodbye to him, he truly changed my life.

Pulled hamstrings, quads, sprained ankles you name it, I've probably had to deal with it! But being able to get stem treatment and ultra sound done was always so helpful. Not such a fan of the stem... To me kinda feels like ants crawling all over your skin... But I just deal with it because the results are amazing! Heating and icing as well were recommended, as with most injuries! But being able to come here and get some work done with the therapist, leaning new stretches and exercises to help warm up the muscles to stretch them more still helps me to this day! My fiancee is stationed at JBLM and needs to continue his PT. He called this place after finding this place through his insurance he gave them a call and interrogated them, which is his standard procedure. His first impression? The receptionist picked up and sounded confident, a plus in his books. Well the result of that call is that he became a patient! He has been here about 6 times. He comes in, signs in and doesn't even get a chance to sit down as they already call him in! The only person who is ever in the waiting room for more than 2 minutes is me! I've seen multiple different patients come in and they are all treated the same. The ladies are kind and courtesy and have a bond with each patient. They are even kind to me, offering me coffee on some days. And they spend about 1.5 hours with my fiancee, who is recovering from a rotator cuff surgery. They give him a heated massage in the beginning and towards the end make him do exercises in their exercise room, which has a couple of flat beds, weights, a lat pull down machine, stair stepper, treadmill and other equipment. They take therapy seriously! Parking is a breeze, restrooms don't need keys, scheduling is simple. I and he have no conplaints about this place. They even have a fresh newspaper and ample magazines! I truly hope more people come to this office. Be on the lookout for his review!

I have went through two extended injury rehabs and currently about half way through the third, rotator cuff surgery, with these wonderful people. I have spent a lot of time with, and gotten to know, all of the three PTs and the support staff. Every one of them actually care about my success and treat me like was the most important patient they have. Truth be told, I'm just another burned out 76 year old has been athlete who used up his body in his youth. I have no regrets, and I seriously recommend you consider these professionals for your needs! Cameron, Maria, and Brittany REALLY know their stuff. Each one has been a blessing for me.

I've been in their care for the better part of a year. Knee issues, requiring steroid injections and finally the need for a full knee replacement. It is now three weeks post-surgery and, according to my team and my Physical Therapist, I am making excellent progress. The surgical scar is impressively short, straight and healing nicely. I can now bend my knee to 90 degrees, with plans to go well beyond that in the coming weeks. I went into this with the expectation that I would be up and about the day of surgery, that I would tackle PT with specific weekly goals in mind and, with the help of my team, would manage the inevitable pain and any unforeseen setbacks. Together, we've done just that. Alex is wonderfully efficient. She, as my main point of contact, ensures that any issues I have are communicated to the right people, appointments are scheduled and prescriptions are refilled in a timely manner. Morgan, Dr. Coray's PA, has been my main point of medical contact post-surgery (so far). She was in attendance during surgery, so she "knows" my knee. Morgan carefully examined the surgical site during my initial follow-up appointment and is happy with progress. Dr. Coray has the quiet demeanor of a skilled, competent surgeon - one who has done this for many years. I liked him immediately. We went over my tests and x-rays, the various alternatives to treatment, and jointly arrived at a plan going forward. No rush, no pressure - he listened carefully and answered all my questions. Bottom line: I highly recommend Dr. Coray and his team. In fact, my left knee will likely require the same surgery in the coming months, and there's no question who will be doing it.

Five stars for the medical team, zero stars for scheduling, phones and leadership…read more I've been dealing with EMA for nearly two years and it often seems as if no one there below the rank of physician can operate a telephone. The causes of this collective developmental disability are a mystery, but the bureaucratic disease is real. The office is fully staffed. I know that from firsthand experience because I've been there five times. The parking situation is awesome. The location is stellar and easy to reach. But the front desk? The folks working the grill at McDonald's look like rocket scientists by comparison to EMA's admin people. Why is answering the phone in 20 rings or less so hard for them? Why can't EMA call referral patients to book appointments with them? Every time I cite EMA's Wesley San as my preferred physical medicine specialist the referring spine doctor tells me EMA will be calling me to make an appointment. However, that promise has not been fulfilled once in five tries in the two years since I tore up my back. And no one answers when you call EMA's main number at 253-272-9994 to try and make an appointment. Especially around lunch time, which apparently runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at EMA. Good luck booking at EMA via MyChart, as you can with nearly every other MultiCare office or affiliate, because EMA doesn't use it. Why? Apparently, managing physician Kashif Saeed thinks they're so incredibly efficient they don't need it. I've had a wonderful experience with Dr. Wesley San at EMA, who is awesome, but I'm no longer either healthy enough, persistent enough, nor intelligent enough to navigate my way through the EMA front office team to him. I know I'm not the only frequent flier at EMA who is sick of this crap. Because their reviews are full of similar stories, What's the moral of the a story? When you create an administrative situation where the only way a patient can get through to their physician at EMA is to write a negative review online, guess what you get? You're reading it. Look Kashif, if you are too busy to run the admin side of the business at EMA then hire someone else to oversee it and focus on physical medicine. Because this isn't working.
