I really like the…read moregenuine kind & positive energy atmosphere (not over-the-top fakey-fake, the team has great working relationships with each other & it is passed on to patients). The ladies (especially Ebony) at the front desk are friendly, efficient, and are willing to work with a client if there's an issue, as long as it's quickly resolved (I forgot my wallet on my first visit). As I come from afar, it's appreciated when the staff is able to work with me if the traffic is horrible (beyond my control, although I give myself 1.5 hrs to commute from south of Olympia, normally 45 min. drive). A++ The therapy technologists are always ready to help, know exactly which exercises to do, how to smoothly transition from one to the next, making it an easier process, and creates a routine for patients to follow- kind of like learning a choreography. My therapist Lani has been invaluable: immediately immersing me in the scientific knowledge regarding my condition, ecstatically answering my many minute detailed questions, and giving me as much detailed information as my brain could absorb (she's passionate about sharing info). This valuably deepened my time, investment, & working with her has been a life changing experience for the better, as I'm able to understand my condition, limits, & how to overcome them in healthy & productive ways vs. continuing to damage & push thru pain. She is VERY GOOD at making hand braces & ensuring they fit right. I had a major plumbing issue a few days after receiving them, and after 3 days of shoveling, my hands & wrists were irritated, but not thoroughly trashed due to the braces' protection & the exercises I had been doing to strengthen my fingers. The next day my hands recovered after a heated tens session, exercises, and adhesion scraping Lani did after carefully evaluating the damage. Overall, I 100% recommend SSPT & IRG to anyone who may need the services they offer. It was definitely worth my time commuting the 1.5 hrs thru bad traffic to get there. THANK YOU IRG & South Sound Physical Therapy! Thank you to your entire staff!

I should have written this review a very long time ago but I don't like leaving negative reviews. Hopefully things have changed since that time but this was not a good experience at all. My initial visit was just assessment and paperwork. The second visit was a nightmare. I checked in for my appointment and the lobby reeked of sweaty body odor. It was so strong and disgusting! I assumed it was another client waiting to be seen. I couldn't wait to be picked up so I could leave the lobby area. My appointment was with the manager/PT gentleman. As he led me back to the table I realized IT WAS HIM that smelled so bad. I just didn't even know what to say to him!!! Almost an hour I had to sit through that smell and him and the other therapists just talked and gossiped the ENTIRE time. Just YAPPIN!!! It was SO loud, smelly and uncomfortable. I ended up cancelling all my appointments there. Left with a migraine. There was no way I was returning to that. I ended up rescheduling all of my appointments at the Lakewood location with a traveling therapist. Unfortunately she was filling in at the UP location, so I went there to see her. This time, thankfully, there was only one other therapist with her client. However, she happened to recognize me from my first visit/assessment with her. It was obvious she recognized me and had a bit of an attitude. I thought maybe I was just being overly sensitive perhaps. But then my therapist noticed her behavior as well and we tried to stay away from her. I would normally end my sessions on the seated stepper for about 10 to 15 minutes. There were about 3 or 4 of these type machines available. This therapist brought her client over and told me she needed the machine for her client and to move. The exchange was so uncomfortable that her client said no that's okay I can just go on this machine here. My therapist and I just stared at each other in disbelief. The blatant attitude was just gross and unnecessary. Needless to say I am in current need of a physical therapist and I would NEVER EVER go back to this place again. Enter at your own risk!!!

The day of my appointment they called and said the doctor had a surgery that afternoon and had to reschedule. Two weeks earlier it was open, and the day of... suddenly he has a surgery scheduled. Hmmm. I was un happy but not the end of the world. They saw me at the end of the week. I had a clipping taken for testing which the doctor told me they charge for but insurance should cover it since it was for testing. My insurance covered part of it. Not a big deal. I received treatment for my toenails, so I had a follow-up 3 months later to check my nails. The doctor said it looked good. Then he clipped my toenail as he was looking at it, which it was already very short because I had them clipped and thinned in a pedicure, so there was nothing to really get, but he was looking at them. He said they looked good and I was done with treatment. I got a bill from the office that included a fee for him clipping my nail, even though I wasn't told I would be charged. My insurance did not cover it because it was unnecessary. I vent back and forth trying to talk to someone and waiting weeks for a call back. When I finally did talk to someone I was upset about being charged when nothing was done, and that it wasn't explained to me that they would be charging me, they said "too bad". I asked to speak with the doctor since the person on the phone had no other remarks, and never heard from anyone again. I will not be referring them to anyone I care about. I have seen 3 other podiatrists and never, ever, been charged for a curious single clip of a toenail just for their viewing. I even received thinning and ultrasound and not been charged like that. That's not care, that's scamming.
