Andrea let Lola take separate space and kept her and the other dogs apart while Lola adjusted to being there. During my 9 days of vacation, I was sent updates, multiple times during the day and pictures. Leaving Lola was very hard but Harvey's Pet Care made it easier. My wife and I dropped our dogs off for a weekend of boarding and grooming. We left instructions for…read morethe groomer to groom our boy and do a practice grooming of our girl. We were also told that the grooming would be recorded so that we could watch the session if anything weird happens. When we picked up our dogs, it became clear that the boy's grooming was incomplete. He had little knots on his head and a large knot on his tail, as well as a new bald spot on his chest. When we spoke to the groomer about it, she said that he was difficult and wouldn't sit still so that she couldn't complete it, and she said that the bald spot was a cowlick. This didn't *seem* right, because he gets groomed 4 times a year and in the previous place they never had any issues with him at all, and we pet his chest all the time and would've noticed a bald cowlick spot before. She was also not told that the girl was supposed to get a pretend grooming session at all, so that never happened. Since the boy has never been an issue before, we wanted to see the video that we were told we could see if we requested it (we wanted to know what might've set him off), but then we were told that we couldn't because the video system has been down for weeks. The manager I spoke with didn't care and just told me that the groomers rent out the rooms so they aren't responsible for what they do. We contacted the owner but she hasn't responded and instead blocked us on the company Facebook page. Best case, this place has terrible communication amongst the staff and the groomer, poor customer service, and a broken video system. I wouldn't trust my dogs there.

Adopting him at this age meant he already had some ingrained bad behaviors that were hard to break. Angela was able to come up with a training plan that not only addressed my dogs issues but also my own issues/fears. She really made the process comfortable for both of us. But after a ton of research, it became clear that Contented Cats has no equal in the area - and for great reason! Having CC take care of my lil girl made what could have been a stress-ridden vacation easy and free. From the love Gwen has for, and the joy she clearly takes in animals, to the photos and videos of my kitty playing in their care area made me so comfortable on my vacation. The cat enclosures are 3 to 4 times larger than your average cat-hotel "room" and the majority of them look out of windows to a front yard with chickens (in the summer). The ones inside still get plenty of natural light. What's more, when you visit the space, all of the cats are calm and happy, sleeping or playing. What's more, when I went to pick my girl up, she was all purrs and nuzzles - but also wanted to stay, play, and get some pets from Gwen. To me, that's the sign it was the right choice. My cat has bad separation anxiety and usually has a very hard time being away from me, even if she's at home, and has shown signs of distress for days after I've been gone for an extended period of time, but she was her regular self immediately upon coming home. Gwen was also super accomodating and let us come for a visit before dropping her off, which made the whole experience much better for both of us. We also had a boy dog who needed eye drops in the middle of the day. I told Shannon from our first meeting that Twinkie was my girl and she needed to take good care of her.
