Enough to convince someone who is scared of needles but interested in the results, to try it. Hopeful for relief from current ailments, I booked an appointment for a 90 min. consultation + chiro and acupuncture session. In the notes I communicated that I am scared of needles, the doctor quickly cancelled my appointment within the same day. She did refer me to another business, but can't find them onyelp ... they only have a Facebook profile for their business. It seems as though Dr. Katie isn't interested in first timers that may be scared and require adjustments or more attention. Katie is a godsend! She specializes in pain management/treatment, but treats other conditions as well. I started seeing her for a myriad of issues resulting in fatigue and brain fog. Over the course of my 3 months working with her I've seen steady incremental improvement. This is amazing as I had seen 4 acupuncturists prior and I regularly see a naturopath, but had been unable to make progress in those areas. I started seeing Dr. Katie Around 34 weeks pregnant for shoulder pain, swelling and wrist pain. She was able to help me tremendously! I was so nervous to try acupuncture but was desperate for relief. I am so happy I found her! I saw her all the way to 40 weeks and she ended up helping me flip my baby boy! He was still breech at 38 weeks and I was scheduled to do a manual version at the hospital, but was able to avoid that after Dr. Katie used pressure points specific for breech babies. I cannot believe how little pain I have after just four acupuncture treatments with Dr. Katie. After years of arthritic pain due to a broken leg and foot, neck pain from cervical stenosis that required a fusion, and tendonitis in my dominant hand, I had all but given up on having a day without pain.
