The office is tucked away in a corner of an office complex so it's nice and quiet. Inside, the ambiance is also setup to be very relaxing and inviting like a spa. Eisaku has been a friend for a few years now before I knew he had an acupuncture practice. However, I had to pay his office a visit, finally, almost 2 weeks ago when I woke up stiff and cracked my back like I've done a million times. I managed to pinch a nerve in my neck/shoulder. It wasn't as crippling as a previous injury 10 years ago, but it did affect my ability to accomplish day-to-day tasks with ease. There was shooting pain if I moved the wrong way, and my muscles were getting very tight and inflamed. It was painful to sleep and I was no longer able to commute to work via motorcycle. Eisaku is a miracle worker. I started going to him 2 1/2 years ago for knots in my back, and he broke them up in 5 sessions. His combination of cupping and acupuncture did the trick. I started to experience EXTREME lower back pain in November of last year (2019). After several failed trips to a chiropractor and a number of doctor visits, I was told that my pain was due to age and that physical therapy was the best path for me to try to improve my situation. I wrote my first review highly recommending Eisaku almost a year ago (7/18/2019), I still feel the same way...so grateful to be under his care! I have had some interesting experiences lately because of his skill (acupuncture and cupping) that I wanted to share. I see Eisaku once a month for regular maintenance. Of course he also treats me for any other issues that may have come up. Last month during my visit, as usual, he asked me how I was doing. I responded that I was great, which I really thought I was. This is my second time going to Acupuncture Japonica, and I must say that Eisaku is amazing! Just by looking at me he could tell me what was wrong. He looked at my tongue and said; "You have been under a lot of stress lately" I was amazed because I thought I was hiding it. He recommended cupping and acupuncture. The procedures themselves are painless and Eisaku makes you feel very comfortable. He starts by putting warming pads on my ice cold feet and hands. I've gone to Eisaku twice now and plan to in the future anytime I am sick or feeling pain (and recommend him all the time to others experiencing any illness or injury). The first time I went to Eisaku, I had been sick with a terrible infection during the winter months. 2-3 rounds of antibiotics did nothing and I was feeling exhausted, weak and had an awful cough that just would not go away. I had not been to acupuncture before, but was willing to try anything to get healthy again. Eisaku did one session (variety of methods, including cupping and needling) and gave me some herbal supplements. I was better within a week and if I had just gone to him earlier, I would have saved the money wasted on antibiotics and my multiple doctor visits. The discomfort was leading to add'l injuries in my knee due the the fact that I had been walking by favoring that injury. And I couldn't exercise. I've been seeing Eisaku for almost a year now. Initially it was debilitating shoulder pain as a result of repetitive stress from work that got me in the door. I had so much pain from the postherpetic neuralgia (a complication from the shingles) and was unable to lift my arm more than 15 degrees upward. I had a foot issue. I first went to a nice podiatrist (naturally). She performed an in office procedure costing me $250 (+some more for frivolous lab fees). The procedure didn't solve the problem. The cyst grew back. Dr. then said it needed to be surgically removed from the bone (ouch and $$$$). I'm so happy to know that he has Eisaku and that they are a team working through this. Dad told me in that phone call, "Eisaku gave the gift of music back to me." And for that...
