I have been seeing Dr. Mohamed for over 20yrs, earlier in my career the staff was pleasant and professional, however, more recently he is unable to keep staff, the receptionist currently there is rude, argumentative and just does not care to listen to anything you have to say. I've been calling for 3 months trying to get an appointment and she says he doesn't have any openings, you mean to tell me in 3 months he hasn't had not one open appointment? She has hung up on me twice, when I stated I would let Dr Mohamed know that I haven't been to get my meds because he never has any openings and her response was "do you think he will believe me or you? I'm not sure where he found this woman but he needs to open his eyes to the disrespect this woman gives. I am on serious psychiatric medicine and because of her I am unable to get my meds. Prior to this woman being hired, I would come in, pay my co pay and he would call in my meds now all of a sudden he doesn't do that anymore and you have to physically see him now. This receptionist needs to understand that there is way to speak to people and the way she speaks isn't the correct way. read more

This doctor stopped answering the phone or showing up at the office for my appointments. I have been seeing him monthly for 8 years for medication. Now he has just disappeared. Do not recommended just ditching psychiatric patients like this. read more

Found out my insurance had lapsed, unfortunately no answer at his office. Finally got an answer today and was informed that I had not given 48 hours notice, sorry I gave 30 hours, I was subject to $100 fee for not enough notice. No voicemail nothing for me to do. I have been very pleased with every interaction with Dr Mohamed. He is very clear and concise. He is patient and explains if you do not understand. I have been able to essentially deal with major issues in my life and at the same time improve my overall health. I decided to see Dr. Mohamed because he treats my wife and her daughter for their mental issue's, and during that process he helped my wife lose alot of weight. Needless to say I was impressed so I decided to see if he could help me lose weight. Well guess what, he did, I lost over 40 pounds in the first three months and I'm still working to achieve my goal. I saw Dr. Mohamed around 2018 regularly. He constantly tried to push medicine on me that would "help me lose weight" when I came there for treatment for my ADHD and depression -- I was perfectly fine with my weight. He was constantly going on tangents about politics and gender roles to me, which was vividly inappropriate for the setting. I would mark this doctor in the negative stars if that would be an option!! I waited for 1 hr & a half- he wasn't even there! I have a severe case of Lupus and it affects my brain. I just moved here & needed to see a psychiatrist, as I need one on my "team" of doctors. When he finally did come in, he had my chart & circled things on it & stated that he couldn't treat me because 2 of the meds I have to take!!?? The man wouldn't even let me speak! He just kept going on and on for 20 minutes (It was supposed to be a 45 min session) about his license & how he would be at risk if he prescribed them. He said a neurologist would have to write the ADHD med & my anti-anxiety/anti-seizure med(?? Umm, no, psychiatrists treat that!). I don't recommend this doctor The first appointment I had to wait 2 hours because he wasn't even in the office. The second appointment the same, the receptionist that scheduled the appointment, when I arrived ask me after calling the doctor if I needed to see the doctor or just wanted my scripts re-filled. She would call the doctor back to come to the office if I needed to see him. I am a retired veteran. I went to Dr. Mohamed after years of seeing military and VA doctors. I was immediately impressed with his ability to establish a rapport with me. When the VA would change my doctor, it was like starting over again, and I do not open up easily. However, I found myself talking openly with Dr. Mohamed during my first visit. He has an easy-going personality and a manner that encourages a productive two-way conversation. When you see Dr. Mohamed, you know he truly cares. He does not rush through his patients on some arbitrary pre-set timetable. Yes, occasionally you have to wait a little past your appointment time, but that is because he personally cares about his patients and takes whatever time is needed with every single person. He listens, asks questions, discusses issues, and possible methods of treatment. If medication is needed, he carefully goes over both the pros and cons of the various possible perscriptions. If your current treatment is less than 100%, he discusses possible changes in lifestyle, treatment, and medication. However, he never pushes an you onto one path. He gives you options and lets you decide which path is right for you. After seeing over a dozen different psychiatrists in 16 years, I had pretty much given up on finding someone who cared enough to get me to open up and work with me on ways to improve my life. Dr. Mohamed has changed my opinion and proven (dispite my cynical nature) that he cares, not just in my life, but making my life better. read more

Not only have I waited with my son, taken out of school, for appointment over an hour before he even showed up at the office, but every single visit is a wait. Less of a wait later in the day however we''ve not been given over 5-7 minutes of time for conference either. Unfortunately insurance rules our choices and he is it in this very small town. It's interesting to read how he spent time with the others and is interested and genuine. Again not my impression. We have been going to him for approximately 6months now so I was hoping for a change and better care as time went on. After looking for a new psychiatrist for my adult daughter, we were so pleased with our appointment with Dr. Mohamed. She opened up and talked with him and on the way home stated, I really like this doctor. We were scheduled to go back in two weeks and one week after our appointment, I received a call from his receptionist stating that Dr. Mohamed was not going to see her again and we needed to go back to our prior doctor or find a new one. I was a student shadowing Dr. Mohamed for several weeks at his practice and I think he's a really great psychiatrist. He spends a lot of time with his patients and listens to what their concerns are. If a patient did not want to do a certain type of treatment, Dr. Mohamed would never force them to follow his advice. I find that he is a very patient doctor whom is very personable and friendly. Many of his patients would tell me that he changed their life in a positive way and some of them have been coming to him for over 10 years. read more

Dr. Mohamed is a very caring and kind man. He has been very helpful in getting my son off of Suboxone. He listens and offers good advice for my son's well being. He listens to my son's concerns and works with adjusting his medications. The wait can be long but he spends quality time with his patients. read more

Strongly Warn All to AVOID! I only went to him out of narrow network no choice from my United Health Garbage insurance! Ahmed only writes prescriptions. He does not give therapy. He asks the patient where you live and your age and who your primary doctor is, yet it is in his file. He only sees you for 5 minutes. I had questions about his medicine side effects. Standard of care says to call your doctor. I called and he does not have a answering service. The office is closed on Friday. So that leaves Monday for Thurs to try to call and don't dare call these so called doctors during their lunch hour. I called and the only whiney secretary says she is the only one here. Well, hire some more workers for all they rip off the insurance or take less patients. They are not caring for their duty to care for the patients they take on! I called waiting for a call back 3 separate times for different medicine and this creature never calls back. They say call your doctor if you have a problem. He could care less. I confronted him and he says tough if you don't like it go somewhere else and even tried to abandon my case and get rid of me. He is absolute vile! Also, he tried to get even more money doing illegal drug tests which isn't my problem and was totally unnecessary! They won't even make you an appointment unless you come in to the office to fill out paperwork first. Finally, he can barely speak proper English. It is hard to understand him and takes most of the appointment of 5 minutes trying to understand his accent. For example he says sleebin for sleeping. Dr Mohamed is great! When I first was transferred to Panama City I was having an extremely hard time finding a psychiatrist who actually prescribed medications; not only does Dr Mohamed but he actually spends time listening to his patients to ensure they are getting the care that they need. With that being said you can usually expect a wait because he will never stop a patient from expressing any concerns or feelings they may be going through which can cause a delay in other visits. It's not enough to stop me from coming though, in fact when I moved I still drive two hours just to continue to see him because I can't believe I finally found a doctor who will listen to me and not just try and shove whatever pill is being pushed on him by pharmaceutical reps. When I was looking for a psychiatrist, I found Dr. Mohammed online. He had such great reviews that I decided to see him. I'm not sure what service he was giving others but all he has done for me is take my money and made me wait 1-3 hours to see him when I have an appointment. He has no respect for other people's time. Additionally, I paid him over $900 to fill out paperwork for FMLA and Short-Term Disability. Then, he doesn't fill out the correct paperwork and refuses to do so. I find out from the company managing the disability claim that he was suppose to bill them for filling out the paperwork not the patient!?!?! When did doctors stop caring about people and care more about money!?!? My advice to anyone reading this, choose your psychiatrist carefully. read more

I took my 82 year old mother in for her first visit. Waited a couple of hours to see the doctor. Lady up front bumped us several time and put patients in front of our appointment. This office over books patients. That is why there is such a wait. I didn't find the lady in charge to be friendly or accommodating. As for the doctor he didn't seem to handle mother well. I wasn't satisfied with him or his staff. I need help for an 82 year old lady with short timers or beginning stages of Dementia -Not sure which direction to go next. Instead of helping my mother for the last years of her life he put her in depression medication. My poor mother can't remember anything. I moved them here from out of state to help them. Now I need a doctor that can help my mother enjoy her last years. I am torn which way to go now. If you schedule an appointment with this doctor make sure you have 1/2 day to wait and see him. The lady in charge up front told me she can guarantee appointment times. Others in the lobby stated this was very normal for his office. I am not sure who the people are that think so highly of this Dr. He spent about 2 min. w/ me took my scripts from another Dr. there saying he wanted to "check" something, then came back and said they have been destroyed!!! When I began to question him he states "I am not here to be interrogated by you!" Ummm....... since when do patients not have the ability to ask questions about their medical treatment? Well in his office it was not possible as I was being told "I can not help you ma'am you must go now!!!" I was in serious shock being kicked out of an office for asking why he destroyed my prescriptions from another Dr. and I was not advised nor gave my consent. Then he came into the nurse's office and told me to get out as well. The nurse is lovely and she looked embarrassed. Again, I am in shock and really looking for cameras like ha ha just kidding. NOPE he told me "This is MY nurse she works for me. See how this works I am the Dr.!" Wow I would not recommend this guy to anyone, ever!
