He used intimidation tactics, as well as bullying in his higher power position over me in the role of doctor versus patient. He attempted to shame me for voicing my frustration with the lack of communication on behalf of his staff and himself. He asked if I realized I was not the only person in the world that mattered, and continued with "you must want one of those fancy specialty doctors who pamper their patients", which he followed by throwing his hands up and saying "I'm done, I don't get paid enough for this". I strongly feel that Dr. Joseph is in great need of minimally a leave of absence. It was extremely clear to me by his atrocious bedside manner and lack of empathy that he has no regard for his patients' wellbeing.

When I called to ask why I hadn't heard back, I was told that it was my responsibility to call them to follow up. Completely unacceptable. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and their communication skills are awful. To make things even worse, my neurologist -- the one who ordered the MRI -- is now refusing to review it herself and is instead having a physician assistant do it. What's the point of seeing a specialist if they won't even look at your results? Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually cares about their patients and knows how to communicate.

We were leave our belongings behind in room 1, including over $800 in cash. (The examination room was private and under the office's control, not a public waiting area or lobby.) Within minutes of being moved, when we returned, those belongings were no longer there. What made the situation worse was how the matter was handled. There was no meaningful effort to secure the area, no clear investigation, and our concerns were dismissed. One staff member was dismissive, despite another staff member who was doing our check up confirming that the belongings were seen in the room. We did not receive any follow-up or resolution after contacting by the letter and even we was call in the office regarding responsibility and Compensation for damages. all we get back was unprofessional yelling and screaming from that doctor phone call conversation because we calling for case update information. We also reported the incident to law enforcement, but without cooperation or clear evidence from the facility, the matter was not resolved. In addition, the consultation with the doctor was unprofessional. The exam room door was left open, there was no privacy, and communication was done while the doctor remained focused on a computer screen rather than direct patient interaction, which made the visit uncomfortable. Patients should be able to trust that their personal property is safe during a medical visit, especially when following staff instructions, and that they will be treated with basic professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, that level of care and accountability was not demonstrated here. Based on this really worst experience i ever have with doctor visit and never thing this going to happen with my entire family primary care doctor, I would not recommend this office.

They have at least one employee that speaks both Spanish and English, which was great for my bilingual daughter to see. I was highly impressed with the professionalism of Donnie and was happy to hear about the humanitarian work he had done in both Honduras and the Dominican Republic. I was also impressed to find out Donnie had served in the air force for 27 years! During the appointment, Donnie immediately alleviated my husband's pain and prescribed medicine to help him recover. They sent the prescription electronically to our pharmacy, allowing the pharmacy to go ahead and get the prescription ready for us while we drove to the pharmacy. This was very convenient and a big time saver. I highly recommend this location.

He called told me a Rx was not called in (even though I had called 3 times to remind him and I had been in the office and paid a copay and told my Rx would be at the Pharmacy). Evan's explanation was it was due to his credentials had been "temporarily revoked "in their new computer system to call in prescriptions, then he called and yelled at me stating I was rude to his staff. (I was never rude). I was really disappointed. Is demeanor changed and he was not the same Evan I knew as my family practitioner. When he called he yelled (very unprofessional said do not call his staff anymore). I had called 3 times in 3 days to leave a message for Evan asking about my refill. As a patient, and someone that had paid for his services, I had every right to call. I was not rude, I was simply waiting for a Rx that he told me he had already called in. Later, I see him in the newspaper with some quite negative publicity, then suddenly (after a year) I am getting all these bills for a Co pay as if I was in his office when I was not. The copay is for a Phone call where he returned my call. I plan to turn this into my insurance as fraud and speak to them about it. Evan has since passed away and now suddenly they want to bill me for a service that was NOT provided. This is exactly why I followed Melinda to another practice when she left Fla Wellness. I don't have these issues with her. If you bill a patient a year after sending no bills, it needs to be a VALID BLIL for services provided, not for a return phone call. I would not recommend Fla Wellness after my experience.

I left voicemails which were not returned. The one time I was able to speak with a receptionist I was was told they would look for my referral and call me back; they did not. The issue started on a Monday and my last attempts were on a Friday. I've used Gulf imaging Open MRI in the past . . . no idea what their problem is, but I was greatly disappointed and got a referral to another facility.

A Disgrace to all MDs…read more This doctor Amer Malik lied to me & discriminated against me, just like his staff did. The final act this practice did to me was to lie yet again and then call my husband names. They claimed a letter from a specialist was missing key language they needed to fill out a form for me to keep my job, but they refused to give me a copy of the letter the specialist sent. I got copy of that letter and the language Malik's woman "Fatima" said was missing was in fact in the letter. The doctor had what he needed but lied, intentionally, which has cost me my job, my home-he waited until the 11th hour. Malik-your trifles with insurance manipulation which you openly brag about in front of patients.. good luck w that. But with me- You crosse a line, medically, ethically, and in many other ways. And having your receptionist come outside as if high, screaming profanities at my husband and referring to him as a woman actually captures YOUR true character, and hers. Complaints incoming. He also gave me physical therapy advice for a painful condition. When Covid first hit, he helped me with the CORRECT medications -- even though the medical experts were baffled at the inception of the pandemic.
