Furthermore, the provider refused to collaborate with my Primary Care Physician (PCP), placing the entire administrative burden of coordinating my care onto me. Navigating medical coordination should be the responsibility of the healthcare provider, not the patient. Because I felt entirely dismissed, unassisted, and left without proper resources, I ultimately filed a formal complaint with UHC/Medicaid. I cannot recommend this practice for anyone seeking comprehensive or supportive dental care.

After years of pain and Dr. Knight doing whatever he wanted to do without consulting me at all through any point in time of my treatment, I now have to pay another $840 to correct my teeth and bite. He would apply appliances that needed to be screwed into the roof of my mouth, fitted onto my molars, metal bite correctors, and many more, with no discussion with me or any type of forewarning. I would walk into the office for a regular appointment and he would just put these extremely painful contraceptions on me with no say so from me. And when I would tell him that I couldn't eat with these MANY appliances on and that I was in extreme pain there was no compassion at all. So after going through all that, he suddenly took my braces off and switched me to Invisalign, again without asking me at all. After months of trying to tell him that something didn't feel right and that my teeth were not aligned with each other. He finally acknowledged what I was saying after the Invisalign trays were completely done. And now he's saying that I need even more Invisalign to fix what I've been trying to tell him for months, at my own expense, when I have already paid the full $6k and have gone through years of pain and zero input on my treatment. Now to get straight teeth I have to pay an extra $840 for something I had been trying to tell him for months and with absolutely no desire to be in Invisalign to begin with. He said I only need to pay the lab fee and not the orthodontist fee as if I should be grateful. I do not recommend this place to anyone! They are quick to snatch your money but just does what he wants, doesn't consult you at all through treatment, makes you pay more when he doesn't complete his intended job (to straighten your teeth and correct your bite), they are not so quick to actually listen to your opinions on the treatment. I'm young and black and feel I have been taken advantage of. For me to see another orthodontist, I would completely have to start over with my treatment "fees" and would have to pay upwards of $3k+ by switching to another office. This has been the absolute worst experience of my life.

Yesterday I brought my daughter to see another orthodontist with over 25-year-experience and was told that $3K is the total cost to completely redo her top teeth with guaranteed results and Lifetime Free Warranty! We spent over 2K for my son's expander but it didn't work out as promised either. We are disappointed overall. I admitted this doctor has been very polite but we never received any written instructions and his verbal instructions to patients especially for patients like us, non-native Americans, are not clear at all!
