Prior to scheduling a procedure, we had a consultation that included a review of a X-ray and surgical expectations. Dr. Livesay was patient with answering questions and didn't rush us out. Between our consult and surgery we received periodic text reminders and videos featuring the doctor. Very nice - and I appreciated hearing the instructions again. The day of surgery Dr. Livesay visited with me quickly after my son's procedure. He let me know the no issues were experienced with the removal or anesthesia. I usually do not enjoy going to the dentist due to discomfort. I had a cavity filled. He took an x ray of the tooth and then took the time to numb me up properly. He used a numbing swab on my gums first then he inserted the numbing needle. I have been to some dental practices where they just stick and that can be uncomfortable. I was fully expecting a root canal as this was a tooth that had a broken filling. He gently cleaned out the decay no pain no issues at all then promptly filled the tooth again. Very simple straight to the point friendly. I would highly recommend him again. His office is very small but very comfortable. Dr Vargo truly cares about whet he is doing. He did not over explain and lecture. He treated me with respect but left no questions unanswered a good balance.

We called about it and they even admitted to giving us wrong numbers but would not reduce it and then threatened to send us to collections if we didn't pay. Horrible business practices. Save yourself the trouble and $$ and go to one of the many other options in Louisville.

Dr. Harmon drilled a hole in a tooth NEXT TO the repair site (he was to remove roots from a tooth…read morethat had a crown on it, the crown fell off). He saw the x-rays of the area and discussed them with me, there was NO HOLE in the tooth he damaged at that time. Immediately after the surgery, I asked for a mirror to see what he had done---i.e during the procedure I felt pressure and discomfort from a drill, I moaned in pain, he moved away from that location and continued to drill on a different area. As soon as he was "finished," I asked for a mirror to see the "work." Despite the gauze, blood and saliva, I saw a hole in a tooth and mistook it for a filling that I thought must have come out during his "work" which would have been awful ( 2 teeth away from the target tooth). When I got home and looked at the area, the filling I thought was gone was intact HOWEVER, I was right when I pointed the matter out to Harmon which he HAD TO KNOW ABOUT unless he's blind; HE DRILLED INTO THE WRONG TOOTH!!!! Then he and his office girls tried to DENY what I was saying. The office girls HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS SAYING WHEN I SAID "HE DRILLED A HOLE IN WRONG TOOTH." THEY DENIED having any x-ray of the area, which is absolutely STUPID; they had given me a copy of the x-ray at my request. Harmon drilled into a good tooth. NOW, I have to find someone to finish the implant and repair the damaged tooth, and I have go through the needle sticks, the numbness, the bloody gums, the pain, the driving in insane traffic to get to the office and back home, AND THE BAD MEMORY OF MY BAD CHOICE OF picking an implant specialist. I'm lucky he didn't drill into the pulp core of the wrong tooth, he came real close. I thought, he wanted to sell me TWO implants, and he was creating the need for the second implant by damaging a good tooth. If I were all of you out there, I would avoid this implant surgeon if you need an implant, or any other work on your teeth. I am sick over this and trying hard to control my anger. In my previous employment, I repaired damaged metal on the microscopic level, which is a lot harder than cutting gums and drilling teeth.

I was hesitant to try the Louisville doctors because it appeared they "over-engineered" the amalgam treatment program. Dr. Coleman is young, well trained and very down to earth. He recommended a simple, safe, treatment plan, removing my (7) amalgams painlessly in one sitting. I now have composite fillings and my mouth is metal free. He then proceeded to tell me this time that I needed 4 crowns and proceeded to drill out the silver fillings of 2 other teeth that I wasnt bothering me along with the one that was. He had his staff fill 3 teeth with composite fillings and the technician kept getting cramps in her hands. 1 week after 1 of the teeth that was filled started hurting I visited an Endodontist at which time needed a root canal. I had received an explanation of benefits in the meantime. I decided to go to a different dentist and get a crown on that tooth. When I showed her the explanation of benefits that show the crowns that Dr Kangs office had submitted , she said that one of those teeth already had a crown and it was fine. She did place a crown on tne tooth that just had a root canal. Which wasn't one of the teeth his office had submitted For a crown. i have been in discomfort from day one and I'm still in the process of getting those other 2 teeth that the silver fillings were drilled out and replaced with composite fillings redone because of constant discomfort. I've known other people who have had botched dental procedures from the technicians in this office.
