I've been to, and taken my children to a lot of dentists over the years and I've had many bad experiences including a front tooth that kept falling out and my son was so embarrassed that he wouldn't go to school. Tim took care of that like no big deal. The other dentist tried 3 times and kept charging me every time it fell out. Before that dentist, a dentist fixed that same tooth & although it wasn't falling out, it was blue. The other students were making fun of my child. I found out the hard way what my Dad said is true, if you are lucky enough to find a good dentist, you better hang on to them. I feel very blessed to have found this place. I get great care.

I find the people here to be very nice, and always up for answering questions. I slacked on the dentist for awhile, but they were very understanding that life happens. This dentist office is always clean(bathroom included) and very peaceful. I know, who calls a dentist peaceful? I normally wouldn't, but for this particular case- it is definitely peaceful. I walked into the small waiting room and was met with the best dental experience of my life. This dentist is a straight shooter. She explained each part of the procedure we went through. Luckily, my daughter found Parkway Family dental and they had good reviews and they were nearby the location where we would be staying. I called the office from the airport and Michaela answered the phone, which was fortunate for me. She was professional, friendly, and she answered all my questions and got the ball rolling right away. They were able to immediately scheduled an appointment. Then, once I got to the office the next day, all of the staff were completely helpful and accommodating, even though I overslept and missed my appointment time - bad on me. Happily, his office takes both of our insurances. We were able to get back-to-back check-ups recently. Dr. Vargo took us each back for X-rays, exams and consultations. He explained what he was doing and was easy to talk to. He asked us about any dental issues we had and explained how he is a bit more laid back than perhaps other dentists, in that he only drills and fills if he is sure it's a cavity. He pointed to a couple of stains on my molars that others might interpret as cavities, but by scraping them with a dental pick, he could see these weren't cavities. I appreciate that he won't put me through the pain of fillings for no reason. My husband did have a cavity, though. He was able to get a return visit scheduled for the filling within about a week. We were able to each also schedule cleanings. I've already been back for mine. These slots do seem to fill up fast, though, so I'd recommend scheduling in advance. The desk clerk was very positive and friendly. And the location inside MidCity Mall makes it very convenient. You can even go grocery shopping afterward at ValuMarket if in need. Dr. Vargo also mentioned that his office has been open for close to 30 years. It's been WAY too long since I was last at a dentist -- like so long that I'm embarrassed by it -- so I'm happy that I now have a new dental home.

Their dental hygienists are very friendly and helpful. The dentist made my visit very comfortable and informative. Mortenson family dental is currently accepting new patients but be ware of payments and dealing with insurance. The last visit to them they said I didn't have to pay anything and later they sent me a bill for the X-rays I had done which they told me I needed them until this most recent visit where the dental hygienist told me those X-rays I had last year were not really needed. There was miscommunication in their part at the time but all in all this a good dentist.

Before I started seeing Dr. Land I had a dental implant placed by an oral surgeon. Another dentist in town told me they could not do it. My boyfriend goes to Dr. Land & he asked her if she could get a crown for me. She told him that it would not be a problem for her to get me my crown. Dr. Land happily ordered all the necessary equipment & got the impressions for my crown to be made. Weeks later I finally had the beautiful new crown placed. This week I went in for my cleaning. Dr. Land cleaned my teeth & I was out of there in less than 20 minutes! This was my first time having a dentist do my cleaning & exam themselves. In the past I came in to have a filling replaced. Dr. Land replaced my filling herself with out an assistant.... I was impressed by this. Dr. Land & Georgia are always so kind & welcoming every time I come into the office. They share a parking lot with a couple businesses but I never have trouble finding parking.

My bite was off, teeth were filed down, implant hardware drilled too far down causing crack and eventually causing them to break. I've been left without functioning teeth for months. I was told if I removed my negative review, they would "make it right," but nothing was ever fixed. At my last visit (after major knee surgery), I waited nearly three hours in pain, only to be given the runaround they didn't trim dentures to fit my implants lied to my face and said they didn't have the parts when tech brought whole container of attachments into room but doctor Seyal didn't know she did and tried to change them for universal parts that didn't originally go to my implants. When confronted about lies they laughed in my face. Prior to appointment they knew my situation and that I couldn't walk had to move appointments around get a babysitter and boyfriend had to take off work. I feel disrespected, dismissed, and dehumanized. My trust is gone. Patients deserve honesty, compassion, and proper care -- not broken promises and to be treated like garbage. Shame on this doctor and office for how they do business and treat people. If you value your time quality of work and service don't go here.
