The shop touts itself as having rare, hard to find items. Most of the items I saw for sale were small to medium sized, like keychains, plush dolls, and bags/purses. All in all it just feels like the old school shops when you could go in and look for what you like, instead of being pushed out of the way for people buying thousand dollar cards. One other thing I'd like to point out, is they will take a look at anything you feel like parting ways with. Saw a couple different people come in, and the staff gave them fair and honest pricing and advice, instead of belittling them or offering them well under comps. He explained grading, why things were worth certain dollar amounts, etc. He purchased a few of my items, which was a tremendous help. I wasn't expecting much money and was more interested in getting rid of the stuff over the payout. They're a business and need to make money too so I'm happy to make a little money while also supporting them. Honestly, it's getting impossible to play here on Thursdays. The shop blocks off almost all the space for official events, but then barely anyone even shows up for them. You look around and see rows of empty tables reserved for nothing, while regular paying groups who actually brought people have absolutely nowhere to sit.We even asked nicely if we could use the empty space, but the staff just told us we should rent out the private room instead. What a joke--that room is already booked solid anyway, and it costs a ton of money. It sucks because we loved the vibe, but it's a total waste of time to pack up our games and drive over just to get turned away. They really need to fix how they manage space on event nights.
