I had a quick and pleasant stay at this Best Western. I checked in after looking on their website that had a great price per room. It unfortunately was deceiving that the price shown was for some random dates in May when the night I was seeking a room was March 23rd. That said, the person checking me in gave me the hospital rate as I indeed was going there the next morning. She was a hotel supervisor and was friendly and professional. The room itself was big for being the basic studio king. It had a comfy large couch and space was plentiful. The mini fridge was nice and cold for my drinks. The bed was very comfortable. The A/C definitely worked, but 70 degrees felt like 75. I had to lower it to 65 to make it feel like 70. I did take advantage of the fitness center. It was larger than any other Best Western I've stayed at. All the treadmills seemed to work and I did a nice 1-hour walk on it. They even have a huge hydro message machine, which I was excited about except it was out-of-order during my stay. Other features include a nice swimming pool and hot tub. It had a large patio with lounge chairs. There is a well-attended bar/lounge. Right next to the front desk is a convenience market. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this family-friendly hotel. read more

Just got off of a 3 night stay here. Pretty good location-- about 20 mins from the airport but in a central location in Scottsdale near various eats. The rooms are cute and have both a fridge and microwave. Didn't love how I could hear doors closing and feel a little shaky when others went in and out of their rooms. Pool were good but jacuzzi had like pieces of tissue in it. But no biggie, I just moved back to the pool! Loved the loungers and cabana options. All the staff I encountered were friendly and ready to help with any questions I had. Did get a bite to eat at the bar, buffalo chicken flatbread was decent and my virgin drink was tasty. We had a great stay! Everything was exactly as stated and pictured, and the place was clean and modern. Our great experience started with the AWESOME valet, Avion--he stayed on top of everything, and our vehicle was always ready on time. He was very respectful and professional. The night-shift front desk associate during Thanksgiving break was also amazing--friendly, kind, professional, and always on top of whatever we needed. Vivian was another great front desk team member who answered all of our questions and made sure we were fully taken care of. The food and beverage manager, Rosann, definitely picked the right people for the bar and the Speakeasy--the food and drinks were excellent! Everyone we encountered was fantastic. No Vacancy is definitely worth visiting at the hotel. Grown folks environment. We loved every minute. The saxophonist was great. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner, and now I see why this place is run so well. He is an awesome and caring person--just a genuinely great guy. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Although the room was clean, it needed some repair. The hot tub has the controls so far away that you have to walk halfway across the area to turn it on. The pool is nice and clean, but could be a little bit warmer. The reason for the two star review is a reservation was made days before and I paid $291 for the room that if I had walked in that day would've cost me $103. Normally it runs $98. Needed s place to crash and decided to book here. Upon checking in Nao greeted and made us feel welcome. She thanked us for being rewards members and provided info on what the hotel had to offer. When we got to the room, we fell in love with the layout. You walk in where there is a L shape sofa with a TV in which the kids called dibs on it, followed by the bathroom and then the king size bed with another TV. Then you have a private patio overlooking the mountains and grassy area. We needed pillows so went I went back to the counter where Sam provided 2 and the bedding. A nice add to this is they have a small bar where we chat a good conversations with Rob who alo made us feel welcome. They do offer an all you can eat breakfast for additional price in which we didnt get. Overall the stay was nice and relación. We def bookmark it if Im ever in the area again. read more

I had an awful experience here, and could never reach a manager (although I tried!) to discuss my experience. I was moving, and had to find a place to stay for the night. I was VERY tired. at 5:15 a.m., the clock they had right next to the bed, and to which I had paid no attention, had an alarm go off. It was SUPER loud, and kept going off. I finally figured out how to turn it off. I complained the next morning to the staff. It was a weekend, so there was no manager there. They said I should have turned off the alarm prior to going to sleep. How was I to know whether the alarm was set for a very early time, or how to turn it off from an alarm setting without calling the front desk? That's not my forte. Also, why do they have clocks with alarms in the rooms? 98% of people own cellphones where you can set an alarm. It seems logical that they would have the stupid clocks with an alarm available for any guest who asks for one, instead of putting them in every room. Also, why don't they, as good customer service, have their maids check to clear any alarm settings when they are cleaning a room? It ruined my sleep on a day when I was about to drive for 8-10 hours. I could never reach the manager, who apparently has decided that making himself unavailable to talk to customers is the way to go. Awful experience. If you stay here, be warned that you may be woken up in the early hours, and that management won't care. read more

This is the nicest best western I've ever stayed at! It felt more like a resort than a hotel. Our ground level room had a patio with comfy chairs and was just steps away from the pool. The pool had free cabanas, a poolside bar, and lounging beds. Our room was extremely clean and I was shocked to have a living room and a bedroom for such a good rate! The food and drinks from the restaurant were below average, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is kind of far from the city, most places took about 20 mins to get to, so having a car was essential for us. However, there are multiple grocery stores and quick service restaurants within walking distance. This place felt luxurious and was perfect for a little getaway on a budget, I would definitely stay here again! read more

Close to plenty of restaurants and things to see [that's the casinos for my wife]. Room was nice and the hotel is well kept. We were able to go to the bar for a little while and enjoy $2 White Claws. I thought that was a pretty good special until I found out that they were getting rid of their left over cans : (. I was extremely pleased with my stay here in November 2023 for 4 days and 3 nights. It's situated in an easy to locate spot within walking and driving distance to many food and shopping varieties. I really appreciated that it's not a loud area either. Our room was very tidy and clean upon arrival. Maid service is available upon request. I was impressed with the gentleman who checked us in and he provided a great outline of all the amenities available to guests. Breakfast was served daily and was something we looked forward to each morning. I think our favorite part was the free Starbucks coffee machine in the lobby that you could fix yourself to your liking any time of day or night. If you wanted to purchase a Starbucks drink, you could order one around the corner of the machine in the lobby at the little cafe. The pool and jacuzzi looked delightful but we didn't brink our suits. I loved that downstairs had a "bar" where one could order some appetizers and a few entree selections. We didn't make our way there but I saw many people there each night. The weekend we went, there were a few large groups of youth sports teams staying with parents, so the lobby was often packed in the early mornings and late nights. Still, we never had any noise issues or disturbances despite the young folks. Our king size bed was very comfortable. I slept really well so I've no complaints there. I think my one and only thing was the shower's water pressure wasn't the best and could be more powerful. I am just still so impressed by this hotel and I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did. I suppose Best Westerns aren't the fanciest but this is the first I've stayed at this Aidan property, and it exceeded expectations! It felt more high end than your average Best Western or another in this price range. I'd absolutely stay here again when we find ourselves in Scottsdale again. Every person we'd met, far exceeded expectations, willing to help & make everything a perfect 1st stay for us, w/being so friendly, & fun people! 'Jay, Chad, Maria, & the front desk attendant the next morning are absolutely amazing! (Didn't get to talk with the breakfast attendant or housekeeping ladies, but they have warning smiles as you pass one another) There is an actual Starbucks in the lobby, open certain hours daily. (I did not catch the times) Along with that, there is a Starbucks coffee setup available 24hrs, and Starbucks in your room as well! JAY! - in the indoor/outdoor lounge, is super fun & friendly, & goes above & beyond to make you as happy & comfortable as he can! TV'S inside & outside! They do have a smaller food menu than expected, but everything we'd tried were pretty good, & PRICES ARE AWESOME! Jay makes some of the BEST wings sauce we've ever had, and the wings are huge!,.. Along with this fantastic drinks that he whipped up!! With the breakfast buffet - items are put out, right to the end of service! Eggs & bacon were fresh, bacon had a crispness to them when fresh, great waffles from the waffle maker, & yummy juices! The pool/jacuzzi area is stunning, & WOW - the comfortable, relaxing HYDROMASSAGE CHAIR in the gym! It was a very nice stay... We stayed for 3 nights this time. It was recommended by a family member that lives in Scottsdale. This time of year, its not easy to find hotels in the area for less than $300 a night. Well this is one of them. :) First, our room was a king sized suite on the second floor with a separate living area with another large screen TV. A fair amount of storage and yes an in room safe. Downstairs has a nice lobby bar called Dukes that is open till midnight. Seven or 8 beers on tap. Plus I believe the kitchen is open till 11. The bar extends to a nice sized outside patio with heaters if needed. The grounds here are stunning. They have a nice sized pool with hot tub. During the day, if you are laying by the pool and do not want direct sunlight just use one of those cabanas. A pretty large area off to the right has a fire pit,several heat lamps and a sunken pit area for kids with different games. You can get a room down stairs with your own private patio. Oh and a Starbucks counter in the lobby to start your day. (950) read more

I've been here for a full week, visiting family. I can't find one negative thing to say. Everything has been perfect. Everyone at the front desk is super friendly and helpful, and has been very gracious during my stay. The room is (still here as I write this) super clean, and seems brand new. Comfy bed, with the best pillows, and fluffy blankets to keep you warm - because the the air conditioning is amazing! Controls are in the room, so you can have it the perfect temperature for you. Big beautiful televisions, and a comfy couch to kick back on after a long day. Room also has a microwave, fridge, and a coffee maker complete w Starbucks coffee and all the fixings. Also lots of drawers if you like to unpack during your stay. There are plenty of hangers, and space to hang clothing, and even an iron / board. Breakfast is the morning is also excellent. Fresh waffles, eggs, & bacon was my meal. They also have lots of other things as well. Well worth the $10 for your morning meal, and you can go in your pajamas! They also have complimentary Starbucks coffee available 24/7 in the lobby, and a mini store in case you need something. The pool area is gorgeous, and although I was only able to get out there once, they have really nice cushioned loungers with big umbrellas. I also passed a big bar area that looks great if you need a drink. Also, this hotel is in a great location, and close to many places to eat, shop, etc. I'll be back for sure !!!! As I had Best Western points to burn I figure minus well see what the Phoenix area has since me & a few friends were attending a concert on June 11, 2023 in Glendale. After finding the Aiden by Best Western with 5 star reviews I was able to score a free room worth 16,000 points. Upon checking in on Saturday June 10, 2023 @ 10:20am. I was informed since I was using points (16,000) there wasn't any studios available that I booked but the lady at the front desk said wait I can put u in a suite for the same amount of points. So after a quick checkin the lady informed me about all the things todo at the property restaurants & shops nearby. After a breezy checkin we were then headed up to the room 222 . Upon opening the door to the room it quickly cried out a wanna be Embassy Suites By Hilton. The room features a living room (similar set up like embassy suites) then you walk pass the bathroom & wet bar and then there's the bedroom. As this was my 2nd Aiden hotel I was amazed what they did to an older hotel. After getting settled in we made our way to the pool to find it set up like a resort. Small Cabanas & next to the pool was a little grass area where they had Corn Hole, Huge Jenga Blocks & a giant Connect4. Just everything about this hotel kept amazing me & my friends. As we continue on we found a free Starbucks machine located in the lobby were you can make your own Starbucks. Never seen something like this before. As we were getting ready on Sunday June 11, 2023 not only me but my friends mention why doesn't the shower have a shelf? I didn't notice till I took a shower and I was like that's a big mistake as there's literally nothing to place anything on except the toilet..... but As this was only a 1 night stay I quickly fell in love and will return in the near future....... read more

This place was perfect for my needs. It is not the "High End" golf resort location but it also wasn't your budget location. Typically, I don't hang out at the Hotel I'm staying at, even in Vegas but to each his/her own. The location of this place is pretty good. Its on and off of the 101. Easy to and from the airport, North Scottsdale, Tempe, etc. I liked it. Quiet area. Surprisingly. Lots of options in the area for quick meals or drink. If not, the drive was minimal. The pool is not large but it was (for me) perfect. Great poolside bar and happy hour. Small bar inside but loved it! Watch a game, meet others staying there. Very casual. The staff was ON IT! The front desk employees were as professional and happy as can be. No complaints. Owners: Give them a raise to keep them there! Cleaning crews were always there and working hard, i notice these things everywhere I go. Yes, it is not a high end resort but sometimes it's all you need. A clean, safe and quiet place to stay. You can always go hang out at any Resort and get treated like you are staying there but why? Go see the the area, town, restaurants, etc. Don't be a resort urchin! read more

Absolutely the worst hotel manager I have ever run across. They didn't have the proper room for us. I had booked with a private balcony, we ended up with a shared balcony. No compensation offered. Spoke with Sam Grider and he is absolutely useless. He calls himself the Asst GM. I wouldn't allow him to clean my toilet. He offered no solution. The bathroom door doesn't even cover the opening so you can see in while anyone is in there. It is barn door style. Not appropriate for a family travelling together. There is so much more, but I think I have said enough. read more

This is the worst hotel I have ever visited. Be aware dirty showers, black fungus in the corners of the shower. The shower pressure for the water was so low. They make you pay for breakfast and it's just continental 10 wow disappointed. I went during a girls soccer tournament the teenagers were running around no one keeping the peace. Parking blocks so high. Hall carpet warn. I paid alot to stay thinking this area was nice and had high expectations, I was disappointed. So much traffic in this area. The restroom door in our room wouldn't stay closed. They have nice comon area to sit outside. My spouse loved the Starbucks coffee in the room. read more

I would give this hotel a zero if I could. First of all I made numerous attempts to speak with the assistant manager, Sam Grider. Sam was never available to speak to me, and never called me to speak even though I requested this several times. Sam's way of handling an issue with a guest is to send a message through the corporate office and assume they will forward the message to me. But the corporate office never notified me of Sam's messages, so I was left wondering what was happening until I called corporate to complain that I hadn't heard from Sam. This went on for weeks. Sam needs to get a backbone and speak to the patrons of the hotel. Better yet, he should find a job that doesn't require any type of customer service. Five night stay. Night one - no air conditioning, so terrible night's sleep. This is June in Scottsdale and the temperature was around 110 degrees. Next morning the front desk was notified and I was told it would be fixed by that evening. Upon my return I checked at the front desk and was told that the air wasn't fixed "because the maintenance man didn't have a key to my room." What????? I had to move to another room. She also asked me if I got the message that there was no hot water. I did not get any message. It would supposedly be fixed by the morning. It was not. In fact, there was no hot water for the remainder of my five night stay. I later found out that there was no hot water well into the following week. Two days after the stay, I called the hotel and was told that Sam would be in the following day. The next day I drove to the hotel to speak to Sam. Of course he wasn't available, even though the previous day I was told he would there. The girl at the front desk then said, "and I'm not going to bother him about no hot water." I never mentioned to her why I wanted to speak to him, so I guess there were other complaints and she assumed that is why I wanted to speak to him. On top of this, she never took her eyes off of the computer while speaking to me. Very rude. A belt was left in the room. I called the hotel front desk four days after the stay and was told that housekeeping handles that and they weren't there (in the middle of the afternoon) and wouldn't return until the next day. Again - What????? After four days of no call from housekeeping, I drove to the hotel AGAIN and asked about the belt. The gal at the front desk looked in their lost and found and there it was. Since I was there, I asked to speak to Sam. Guess what? He wasn't available. Left another message for him to call me. He did not call. Corporate told me that Sam offered a $25 gift card as compensation for everything that occurred, which I declined. $25 does not begin to cover no air conditioning, no hot water, the lying to me by the staff, the non-existant communication with me by Sam, the number of trips I had to make back to the hotel, and the number of calls I had to make to the hotel and to corporate (who BTW said there was nothing they could do to help me since each Best Western is independently owned). I was going to submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, but then found out this hotel is not BBB certified. I wonder why? So there is no recourse through the BBB or through Best Western Corporate office. This is the worst experience I have ever encountered when dealing with a hotel. Be warned - if you have a problem at this hotel, Sam Grider will not care, will not attempt to make things right, and will NOT speak to you about it. read more

If you stay here something will be stolen. I was staying here with my mom, and we had a couple of college visits to go to. We get back and her laptop and bag are missing. Nice spot! I usually stay here when I am in Scottsdale (once every month or two). Truly the best value for your money. Clean, modern, nice amenities (great pool, bar, common areas). One FYI - the breakfast was complimentary before but now costs money. The quality hasn't changed and it's the typical stuff you'd see at a continental breakfast. It's not clear that the breakfast isn't complimentary and honestly I'm surprised that it's not given the quality. I normally don't leave reviews for chain hotels, but this one in particular had me charmed. I stayed here recently for a quick night during a road trip. Check-in at the front desk was efficient and friendly. I also received a bottle of water and snack upon check-in for being a member. The site overall was lovely and almost made me wish I were staying longer so I could enjoy everything. Regarding the room, everything felt very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable! Shout-out to the breakfast staff as well. For one, the food was unexpectedly tasty and fresh -- yes, it was basic hotel buffet fare of eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, and what have you... but it was pleasant to see them defy the stereotype of lifeless, plasticky hotel eggs (they looked real! lol) and rubbery bacon (perfectly crispy). Even the waffle machine looked well-maintained and clean. The staff itself was lean but efficient -- I mainly saw two people hustling to check in guests, address requests, and keep food in the hotplates for the weekend crowd. It felt like there were nonstop requests launched their way, but they maintained a great attitude throughout. They even made sure a large group of latecomers had fresh hot food even though they came 5 minutes before close of service and it would have been perfectly reasonable to decline them.
