With a couple more weeks of travel, I needed to get my bag fixed ASAP. Rather than get a new bag, I chose to get it repaired. I was only in town for a couple of days, so I called a few places to see who could fix it before we left. One place, in particular, was not very nice, then I called Church Corner Shoe & Bag repair & they were so nice! The owner answered the phone and helped answer a few of my questions. I asked if I could I text him a photo of the repair and he replied & said to bring it down. Once we arrived, the owner's daughter greeted us with a warm welcome. She said her Dad (the owner) would call me back when it was done. A few hours later, the owner called to say that it was ready. I was really surprised they finished it so quickly. When I arrived I was beyond impressed. The owner had not only fixed the zipper in one part but in another that I didn't even know needed fixing. Total price $25.00...amazing! There's even a movie theatre too! One of the main noticeable themes are eco-friendly and quality. You can see the beautiful architecture in the main hallway with touches of eclectic and unique art, which I found to be a theme throughout Christchurch. There are no stores a like, and no chain stores. Every store and eatery is unique in its own way. Even though I didn't purchase anything, I still found it interesting browsing through the bookstore, reused clothing store, and several specialty stores. Grabbed a flat white at the coffee stand in the middle, and took a seat and relaxed in the warmth as I waited for my wife to get her nails done. Even though, the shopping complex is just one strip mall. The middle portion had plenty of places to sit, and the walkway was spacious. Overall, this is a really nice place to visit, and shop for those unique items for yourself or as a gift. There's plenty of parking outside, and a nice place for warmth when it's cold outside. It's bright with natural light, and it's clean and organized everywhere.

Save yourself some time and frustration: THIS is the one you want to go to, and you want to take $1 coins if you can, or at least take cash and the staff will change it for you. 35 mins for a load. I think it was $4 for the load + $1 for powder. Hella helpful fella at this place, wasn't "open" on New Year's Day, but he was on-site doing some chores around the business so let us do a load, changed our coins and sold us some detergent.
