I LOVE the waxing service by Kristi and she is phenomenal. That said, I absolutely regret letting Dawn touch my hair. I've had kind and talented stylists highlight and color my hair for 20 years and never encountered someone so rude. She was very condescending about the fact I had previously highlighted and demi "stained" hair (like half of American women), did not listen and insistent that she knew exactly what needed to happen. I'm a humble gal...I went along with it despite having the urge to walk out mid foil and now I'm out $150 for a streaky brassy yellow mop with a mediocre haircut. I'd ask her to correct it rather than leave a poor review but she was so rude I'd rather go to Sallys. read more

I wanted a Peekaboo dye with brown on top and red in the bottom. Instead of brown, she made it grey, blue, and purple. The red was semi-permanent hair dye. I assumed it would be permanent, but it was not. I did not get what I asked for, and I even used reference photos. It was over a hundred dollars for something not worth it and not even what I wanted. My mom booked me an appointment for a surprise birthday present. Since after having children self care is last on my list. I had the pleasure of having Jill as my hair dresser. Let me tell you, she's amazing. I will continue coming back to her & recommending her to friends time & time again. I had absolutely no idea what I wanted just needed my hair to be healthy again. Moved to Troutdale recently and if you are in the area, Ain't Ms-B-haven is great! So glad I found this place! The salon has a super cute rustic style setup and very CLEAN!! I got my hair cut and colored by Sharol and I don't think I could have left with a bigger smile. She walked me through every step of my cut and color. I left with amazing hair and it smelled so good! She even went over ways to style it, types of shampoo/products I should use. I'm used to having really long hair but I desperately needed a change. I have been to this salon 2 times now... The first was over six months ago. The second was a little over 2 weeks.. both times i called to see if they had openings(not specific stylist, second time should have been). Laurie cut my hair the first time and she was amazing. everything was exactly how i liked it. The second time was Rene..... i have no words to say how i feel....I get an A line bob/cut..pretty short and stacked in the back....I didnt notice at first because i always do it a littles messy with hairspray in the back... I was having a bit of troubles styling but thought it was me.... till i went to color my hair...holy $#@&. MY HAIR IS COMPLETELY SCREWED UP. There's no gradualness to the stack at all.. the hair is much longer on one side then the other... theres no blending what so ever.... no point cutting... none of that ... this was the worst hair cut I have ever had..... I again understand did a last minute instead of going to my regular stylist or laurie but if i pay 35 plus tip for a hair cut you better know what you are doing. Laurie. Is. Amazing. It's been over 5 years since I moved away from home & finding a decent hair stylist. Laurie was more than decent. She had me in awe with the outcome of my hair. She made sure she kept the length & style I wanted. She triple checked it before cutting my hair off. She made it definite that "everything will be okay." First of all, I had to wait an extra 30 minutes for pedicure appt which I made in advance. Secondly, I noticed the tub wasn't disinfected, and now my feet have been itching for 2 wks. I had to get anti-fungal cream, gross. Thirdly, I had a manicure the same day, unbeknownst all the problems would come later. The person who handled my pedi also did my nails. I made sure to mention my nails are on the weaker side, and I can't wear the acrylic nails, to suffocating and usually end up taking them off after a couple weeks. She said "Oh, I file them down a little and the nail polish will stay better." The manicurist only filed down the tips of my nails, thus making them weaker! Also, there were little tiny bubbles in some of the polish on my nails too! I removed the polish after a few days, just looked ghastly and decided not to go back. Why?First of all and most important didn't want to wait another 30 or possibly more time to get things handled if I made another appt. I am very disappointed. If the person is professional, and has prior experience, I expect better! read more

I will never go anywhere else - great environment , nice people , a little more on the expensive side (but way worth it). I have always had problems going to other salons with my platinum blonde - they either tell me I should do something else / miss spots / turn my hair orange , but at this salon you just tell them what they want and they have your back ;) highly recommended. Horrible!!! I went in last minute and had Anita cut mine and my daughters hair. She took my 10 year old first and she had long hair with knots in it. Anita had her come to sink and she spent some time to brush and wash her hair then she asked what are we doing today for the cut. I said up to the chin Anita's response "I wish I would've known that , I just wasted my time and product." First off I don't work there if I would've known that she didn't need do that stuff first I would've said something. Second that's not my job it's Anita's to ask that. I should've walked away after she cut my daughters but I proceed to let her touch my hair big mistake. I asked her to take my hair from my mid back to just below my shoulders she cut mine to the middle of my neck and did a total chop job looks horrible. I left in tears and now I need to find another place to fix her mess. If you go here steer clear of Anita. No customer service skills at all and looks like from my cut she either needs to go back to school or quit making people's hair so ugly. read more
