THIS SALON SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN…read more Meuy absolutely destroyed my hair. I'll post the picture of what I asked for, and a picture of what she did to my hair. I was horrified. She randomly picked out pieces of my hair to bleach. She let it process for over an hour until my hair started to break. Then, when she washed it out, she threw a bunch of toner in it to make it silver, but the roots were extremely brassy and uneven. I mentioned that it's uneven and brassy in some spots, and she had the audacity to claim that it's the uneven light because there's a window on one side of the salon...she knew she had done a horrid job, but her stubbornness and self righteousness prevented her from admitting that she completely ruined my previously beautiful black hair. She still charged me the full $180. I was horrified and everyone told me to demand her to get it fixed. I came in two days later and she washed out the toner and it became this horrible orange color. She claimed it's "such a beautiful color" and so did her ignorant coworker who didn't have any knowledge of hair. Note the bright blonde streaks that are still present in my orange hair-she really claimed AGAIN that it's the lighting that makes it appear uneven, but it's not. Not only did she ruin my hair color, charge me for the first visit AND the second visit, deny that she messed up and that her business is a disgrace, she also cannot curl hair for the life of her. After the horrid dye jobs, my hair has been frequently breaking and falling out. My hair turned into straw and I look ratchet. This completely ruined my self confidence and it'll take years for my hair to get back to normal. I would give this business -1000 stars if I could.

My wife went to this salon on a recommendation from one if her friends. When I got to the salon, my wife was under a dryer and was looking a bit nervous. Her hair typically takes color and lightens quite easily, where she hardly has been under heat to help the process. She expressed her anxiety to me and to the stylist, Annette, when she came to check on her. Annette tried to assure her that everything was fine and it just needed more time. After quite awhile under the heat, she was told that it all "looked good" and that it was time to rinse her hair. After removing the foils and rinsing her hair, she was taken to another station and had just the top dried. My wife immediately noticed that her hair wasn't right and asked the stylist to fix it. Annette put a toner in her hair and then rinsed that. She dried just the top of my wife's hair and told her that it looked great. We took her word for it since it was hard to see with her hair still wet. BIG mistake! When we got home and my wife dried her hair, almost every foil had bled leaving tiger stripes all over her head (pictures attached)! My wife was so upset that she immediately contacted her trusted stylist and begged her to fix it. There was no way my wife was going back to Annette that had to have seen all of the bleeders she left in her hair. I don't know how someone that owns a business and calls themselves a "professional" would leave someone's hair like that! We tried finding a way to contact Annette other than calling her landline at the salon, which turns out to be impossible. There is a website for the salon, but no way to send an email or anything. There is a link to a Facebook site that says it does not exist on it. After a quick Google search I was able to find a cell number and left a text for Annette explaining the issue. She called a few days later enraged that I had contacted that phone and told me that basically we were out of luck and that a refund would not happen. So I just wanted to make sure others knew the risks they were taking by going to this salon.

I visited the "salon" couple weeks ago for trimming. I am not really a good speaker of English…read morebecause I have lived in the US for two years. So when I described to the "stylist" what I wanted i didn't have to say much - I simply showed her the lenght (about 1 1/2 inch) of my hair that needed to be trimmed. When the "slylist" was trimming my hair I noticed that her hands were trembling. After she finished she headed to reception where my husband paid for the service . I could see right away that the hair on left side was shorter then on my right side and i asked her to fix the problem but she cut the shorter side again and made it even worse. I pushed her hands aside and headed to the door. The owner of the saloon tried to figure out what was wrong, but I was too upset to explain anything. The stylist blamed on the lack of communication but what was the point? What kind of communication does she need to make a simple trimming. What she did could hardly be called as either A trimming or a haircut! I left the salon immediately with the terrible mood and went home. At home I checked my hair again all around and understood that my entire hair shape was ruined by the "stylist". I immediatly returned to the salon, but it was already closed. When I came back 2 days later I had a conversation with the owner. She was very rude in the beginning because she remembered me and understood that I came to point out at their mistakes. I thought she would make a compromise, but instead she behaved as if she didn't understand mine and my husband's complaints and said that she would call to police if we dont leave her property. She refused to return my money back and said that I was happy with my hairlook during my previous visit, which is ridiculous lie!!!! The hairstylist didn't even come over to explain why she did wrong, insead she was making caustic remarks about my claim from another room. And it was in front of other clients that where sitting and waiting for their appointments. I have never ever seen such "great" customer service in my entire life! The worst experience ever!!! As a result I made an appointment with another stylist and she fixed everything after that horrible experience. When I described what happened she was very much shocked by my "haircut" and by all the details of my visit in that salon.

After the pandemic and moving across states. You can say, getting a very much needed haircut was…read morenot a main priority. You keep thinking you need one, or that you should have made some time, but life gets busy. The other down side is- once you do find the time... getting into an appointment is a obstacle itself. I had a day off one afternoon and being nearby Gresham, I saw Amy on Yelp and decided- why not? Gave her a call and she answered and was able to get me in asap. She was flexible, courteous and kind. Once in, we went over what I would like to get accomplished and the price points. First off, prices are very much affordable. Secondly, she obviously has the experience and care. Noticed when she shampooed my hair the temperature was warm and perfect, and during the final rinse she switched to cool water. She was able to accomplish the length and texture of my hair without overdoing it and gave me the perfect look for my round face. At the end, my hair was silky smooth, soft to touch and cut beautifully all in a short time span. Since we had the time, I also decided to get my eyebrows waxed and let me tell you. My eyebrows looks more fuller! I started off with thin small brows that was grown and unruly and without precision waxing and detailed tweezing she made it seem perfect! Bonus feature is she accepts the 10% discount when you arrive and check in on Yelp. Highly highly recommend for everyone to stop by and try Amy's! I would have loved to get photos, but she said she is in the middle of renovating and upgrading her sign and inside. *Covid procedures on hand. Hand sanitizers available before entering and she wore a mask the whole time, and I did the same.
