We decided to have a whole-house generator installed so that when the power goes out, we wouldn't be in the dark, or the heat, especially during the storm season. Our electrician recommended Energized Electric. The company serves Palm Beach County, the Treasure Coast and all the way up to northern Indian River County with an office in Sebastian. Our system was activated in late January. A couple of days ago, we had our first power outages since the system was installed. Within moments of the power loss, our generator turned on, and we had power once again. The system automatically shut off when FPL power was restored. The next morning there was another brief outage, and again, our generator came to our rescue. Because there's no gas service in my neighborhood, it was necessary to install an underground propane tank to power our generator. Energized Electric handled the entire job, from the electrical work to the installation of the propane tank, and the generator installation and activation. They thoroughly tested everything before activating the system, and they were happy to explain the details. This company also services what it sells, and I have a maintenance contract with Energized Electric. I'm happy to recommend them if you're in the market for a generator system.

I received a mailer a few days before for a service agreement quoted at $349 for a year. The quote I received from the technician was for $695 vs. the mailer received. When calling in to sign up with the mailer, I was now given an excuse that the mailer received is only for "air cooled" units vs. liquid cooled units (which mine is liquid cooled) and they would not honor the advertisement (nothing in the advertisement says which unit it is for - see below). I was also told that $695 is for the gold package and $495 is the silver package (which is the same service as the $349 package). I understand their reasoning, just am disappointed that the mailer says nothing about this and I was still charged $140 service call which I was told would be waived if I was to sign up for their servicing agreement. Very misleading. Nicole is who I spoke with on the phone and agreed with me that she believes they should honor the advertisement, but Shane who I believe is a manager disagreed and will not honor their advertisement. For context, the mailer reads as: Service Agreement for Generator $349 per year. Includes complete oil change & filter, check battery & fluids, inspect air filter, check amps & voltage, test generator, wash & wax generator, plus 2 inspections per year. Expires 2/15/22.
