I was super impressed with the airboat trip from Airboat Adventures. We were originally trying to book a night tour, however with COVID and tropical storms it was unavailable. Instead we were offered a private eco-tour. We saw several types of plants, birds, and several alligators too. I loved the narrative from our airboat captain and all the information he had to offer. What I found especially unique was their efforts to preserve and restore the delta, he shared with us how he collects and deposits cypress seeds to encourage continued growth and preservation of the habitat, very impressive. The owner was great working with us since we were on a day by day schedule due to our sons Navy schedule with my husband calling off and on to get availability. We wanted to go on the one hour tour in the afternoon but he was honest with us and recommended the 1/2 hour since the afternoons were starting to get hotter and less wildlife to see. We really appreciated this since he easily could not have mentioned it. However, we did see several ducks, birds and even a quick glance at some alligators before they dove into the water. My family of 5 really enjoyed it. His boat was nice, easy location to get to and the best part it was right next to the Bluegill restaurant where we ate a great lunch right afterwards. Oh, this is loads of fun for any age and whether you are local or visiting. Our Delta areas are so overlooked (which is actually a good thing). This is a great way to learn a little, see an awful lot and enjoy the moment. Well worth the time and money. DON'T DO IT!!!! We just moved a family member down to Mobile and were anxious to take the family out on an airboat. We booked an hour-long ride for the next day, Monday. We waited in the parking lot for 45 minutes, on Monday, with a no show for the boat. We called the office and asked if there was a problem. The office woman said that the ride was scheduled for Tuesday, and we would have known that had we checked our email!! We told her that we were on a speaker phone call when it was booked and we clearly said it was for Monday. Long story short, she charged us for the ride ($200). We discovered that the card had been charged and she refused to refund the money, was rude and talked over me. The lack of professionalism and blatant rudeness has chased away our family and anyone else we can reach! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! read more

This was absolutely worth doing. We did the eco tour so we got to enjoy some fast and slow rides. We saw a couple alligators and loved learning about the indigenous birds and plant life. I would definitely do this again and would love to try the night tour. read more

We were in Mobile and wanted to do an airboat tour. Another company's information came up more when looking on the Internet. After a week of leaving messages with no response we were lucky to find another company. All 4 of us were happy that we did. Mark was a great captain who was extremely knowledgable and just fun to be with. He adjusted his normal tours to fit what we wanted and it was a blast. Just completed one hour eco tour. The ride was fun and informative. We saw several alligators which we did not expect. There is a 4 person minimum. It was our last day and no others booked so we paid for a phantom rider. That's the 3 person family struggle :). I would recommend this adventure to friends. If we are ever close we will try the 30 min thrill ride. read more
