I've booked with Airpads before never had an issue. I've stayed at Ala Moana in Hawaii, one of there apartments in LA and a condo in Vegas.

The unit was mostly clean , the kitchen well equipped , loved that there was a good coffee maker and rice cooker. We felt safe in the area. The little Waikiki market next door was convenient but is very busy and a meeting place for homeless and others hanging out. They were very responsive to our needs and quickly responded to fix a couple issues. communication was excellent. the beds were comfortable but the other furniture was not. a wicker settee with a thin, worn and well used seatpad was the only seating except for two plastic molded chairs. we found the area noisy , busy ,a route for fire trucks, police and emergency vehicles . however it is very close to restaurants and all the life Waikiki has to offer if that is what you are looking for. the condo and area would not be our choice again but thats just because of what we enjoy and would want next time not because there was any problem with Ali'i Rentals. We would like to look at their other properties and have no hesitation renting from this company again.

It's a holiday weekend and they demanded a response the same day. We replied the following morning but were told they already cancelled our reservation. Wouldn't we just book again at their new price that's $1,500 more? Talking to them to try and resolve, it was clear they just wanted more money. There was no urgent issue, they never called, they just decided they could get more money than our reservation. So be warned if you reserve with them... they may leave you hanging. EDIT: The owner left a response citing verification processes. We completed everything asked for on booking and NEVER received any communications on August 28 or 29. I have the message receipts and can gladly share. Our only message was Aug. 30 and we responded within a day, despite the holiday weekend! The property was still available. They just wanted to jack the price over $1k.

There was a nice long hallway away from the door, so I didn't really hear anyone. It was great when all of the valet remembered who I was, and it was nice that after a few days, I didn't have to tell them my car number. There were a couple of things that I didn't like. A couple of the people working the concierge desk tried to get me to wear a bracelet. I get why, but it's something I don't need. I just come here to sleep and take a shower. I'm not a tourist. The other thing was no light housekeeping anymore, just an exchange of towels or bedding. I didn't come here to make my bed...LOL! But the staff here is great! Which is why I keep returning.

Although, I really dislike the invite to another owner update by the concierge, at least the guy at this Club Wyndham property wasn't overly pushy. I stayed in a Japanese inspired studio unit. From what I could tell, that meant the unit came with a rice cooker! Unfortunately, the unit didn't have a stove, so I wouldn't be able to do any cooking even if I wanted to do so. I found everything in my unit to be clean and in good working condition. There were plenty of restaurant choices within walking distance. All of the staff that I came across during my stay were all very nice and friendly. If you don't need to see the ocean or be really close to the beach, this property would be a superb place if you want to stay in the Waikiki area.

We were on the 23rd floor and had to carry luggage up and down the stairs. I ended up breaking my right thumb doing this. Even worse--there was an 80-year-old woman on the 30th floor and a pregnant woman on the 28th, both forced to use the stairs. This is a serious safety hazard with no proper support or contingency plan. Completely unacceptable and dangerous. Would not stay here again.

Parking is 2 blocks away and you have to roll your luggage through two different hotels. $28+ per day. When you get off a flight all you do not want to do is maze your way though a hotel. My dude did all the check in in the back office by the sundries shop. We had a low level floor right over the pool. It was a bit noisy but we were right over the pool... duh. There are two pools. One is accessible though the second floor more of a lounge in the water type shallow pool, the other a small deeper pool with kids able to bounce around. The hotel is nice, our room was modern and recently renovated. Kitchen (no dishwasher), huge flat screen, cali king bed, and couch pull out. Room is comfortable for 2 and I would never sleep 4! Minutes (maybe 5) to the beach walking. You can easily access all of Waikiki beach paste the Hale Koa in about 10 minutes. I would probably stay here again. We had a car and did most everything off site.

The house was rented for three days and a wedding event was held there for about 60 people. If you…read morewant a beautiful venue for a wedding or other event, this location is hard to beat. It has a huge yard right on the ocean with spectacular sunset views. People should be aware that pretty much all you're getting for your money is the location and scenery. The house has an old Hawaiian feel with large rooms and open architecture. It was built in 1964 and actually has a total of 10 bedrooms; however, there are only 6 bedrooms and 4 baths available for rental. The other bedrooms are either rented out separately, or the owner lives in them. Even though there is a large parking area, carport, and garage, there are only 4 spaces available when you rent the 6 bed, 4 bath part of the house. There is street parking available about 200 yds. away, but you have to walk on the shoulder of a very busy highway. The driveway entrance to the house is also on this same busy highway, so getting in and out is not easy. We were disappointed with the cleanliness and upkeep of the house. We had to wash the large sliding glass doors and several of the windows in prominent areas. Some of the screens in the bedrooms had large tears. There were several large mirrors in the dining room - one of which was cracked. There were not enough towels for all the guests - some bathrooms had no towels, and we had to supply our own. There was an odd collection of dishes and really not enough of them considering the number of people that could stay there. The dishwasher was not attached to the underside of the countertop, so every time we opened the door, the dishwasher would tilt forward, and dishes would spill out. We actually had to weed-wack a large area of the back lawn (right outside the back door where all the guests would be) where there were 12" tall grass weeds sticking up. The entrance to the house is a courtyard where there is a pool which is not very inviting since the bottom looks like it needs to be cleaned and refinished. Nobody wanted to go in the pool. Basically, this is an old island house that really needs some TLC. Also, be sure to read the rental pricing carefully. Paying $1,500/night to rent the place does not allow you to hold any events while you're there. There is an additional $3,000 fee if you want to hold an event. We were aware of that, so it wasn't a problem, but that extra cost should be considered if you're planning an event.

Every time I visit Honolulu, I always try to book one of Annie's rentals first and hope that there's availability during my trip dates! I'm one of those people that does extensive research and price comparisons on different rentals before every trip, and Annie's units are the best value every time. I've experienced two month-long stays at one of her Ilikai Marina units, and I'd book the exact same rental again every time I return if it's available. The unit was bright, clean, spacious, and peaceful. It had the most comfortable bed and pillows I've ever slept on. Even if I had a naked Ryan Gosling in my bed, I'd still choose sleep over sex because the bed and pillows are THAT comfortable. The Wi-Fi was fast and consistent, even during video-heavy Zoom calls, so you'll have no problems working remotely. The Ilikai Marina is a prime location with so much to do within walking distance like Magic Island, Ala Moana, and everything Waikiki has to offer. There's a Biki station right around the block, so I biked pretty much everywhere. On top of all this, Annie and Adrianne are incredibly responsive, friendly, and accommodating. I'd highly recommend booking with Annie, but hopefully not during MY travel dates because I want to rent with her when I'm in town, too!

Additionally, we loved that there was a sliding door in the condo, that turned the apartment into a one bedroom when we wanted (but also allowed us to have open space when we wanted as well). Annie was super responsive and accommodating. From the booking process where she explained everything to going above and beyond such as leaving snacks in the kitchen, water in the fridge, and laundry detergent in the closet since we were staying longer term. These details made us feel really welcome and Annie also has the best suggestions on places to eat or things to do in the area. Grateful to work with Annie on this rental and will definitely be recommending to friends who come to Hawaii to visit!
