However, the resort pricing overall food value was disappointing. At check-in guest are giving a discount card for 10% of Off at the Market and certain resort locations, which is appreciated. However, if you forget the card in your room while heading to the pool or Beach, you were simply out of luck since purchases can be charged directly to the room, it seems like the discount should automatically apply to the guest account instead of requiring a physical card. The 10% discount definitely helps because Hawaii is already expensive but the price is at the market and eateries felt excessive. For example we had 6 drinks and two orders of fish and chips at Long boards and the bill was $171. Unfortunately food felt like it mediocre pub food, which made the cost even harder to justify. Overall, we love the beauty of Ko Olina and the warmth of the people, but the resort pricing felt comparable to Disney without the food quality or value to match.

When I hit a snag on our trip, Saya from the sales department stepped in and solved the issue without any hesitation. She listened with compassion and worked quickly and competently to resolve the problem. The beach is gorgeous and the snorkeling is good around the rocks. Longboards has good food and drinks, but you can also easily walk to dinner over by Monkeypod and 808. We walked through Aulani and realized we weren't missing out on anything. The resort there is also beautiful and the same high quality. Overall, great vacation and we will be back!

We arrived early but we weren't able to check-in until 4pm. No biggie though because we dropped our bags off and did our grocery shopping while we waited for our room to be ready. From a hotel customer service standpoint, it was pretty good compared to Maui vacation club resorts. The pools and especially the waterslide are the highlights when it comes to amenities. The waterslide is way too much fun! Another amazing part is the lagoons that are steps away from the hotel. No waves, warm water, and super clean. Being so close to a nice beach is such a luxury! They have some cool activities during the day to win prizes, which was a cool way to break up the day. Outside of that, the hotel was just ok. We found the restaurants to be fine but not great. Mid food, hotel prices. That didn't stop us from dining there multiple times because the options in this area aren't abundant. While the hotel has a gym, there's no tennis courts or even a shuttle to take you to the nearby shopping center. If you are staying here, definitely rent a car. $45 for self parking per night though. I've been to this resort a couple of times, and the contrast from staying in a studio versus the 1 or 2-bedroom suites is night and day. The studio rooms are a bit dated and honestly just feels like a standard hotel room. The studio room has a small kitchen area but no stove and really small fridge. The bigger suites are definitely the way to go.

On a whim I decided to go to Hawaii and surprise them. I searched AirBNB and had a goal of calm setting near the beach. I saw the pics of this villa and booked it the next day, for 7 days. The photos really didn't do the place justice!! Absolutely gorgeous with stunning views of the ocean and the lagoon. The master suite was super luxe with en suite bathroom (soaker tub was used almost every night). Check in was a breeze with the super wonderful Angel and her partner. They checked up on us ever so often. Very nice people (understatement). Checkout services checked my flight info and accommodated us in very courteous way. I really can't say enough about our stay here. I should have stayed another week. Will definitely recommend and use them again. Thank you to the LHV staff, esp Angel and Suzanne!!!!! Mahalo

I personally enjoy the exclusivity of renting a villa over a room in a traditional hotel. I enjoy the space the villas offer and the staff that facilitate and manage these rentals are both professional and warm/welcoming.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen had everything I could think to want and the lanai was my favorite spot for napping each afternoon. The pool was a 2 minute walk from the unit - my grandsons just loved the pool and I loved the shaded cabanas. The beach was about a 10 minute walk, but we mostly used the golf cart. The unit had all sorts of bicycles, scooters, books and toys and board games so the kids were never ever bored. Safeway, Costco and Target are 1 exit away and it's so nice to be able to park right at the villa and not have to haul everything into an elevator or down a long hallway (especially after a day at the beach). My son in law was thrilled with the "high tech" gadgets - 3 huge TVs, NetFlix, wifi, even a printer. I am already looking forward to another trip this summer!

Two of the four showers advertised in the home were not operable - we were told by customer service that it was our "user error" that we could not turn on the shower. In addition, the advertised washer was also not operable - we were again told by customer service this was our "user error" and that "everyone is used to a different machine". We called on Friday night to let them know the washer was not operable and we were told it was not considered an "emergency" but that we would get a call back within 30 minutes. The team NEVER returned our call that night. We had to Uber to the nearest grocery store to purchase towels for the remainder of our trip to which I Love Vacations will NOT reimburse. The biggest issue was the lack of communication and transparency. Decisions were made without consulting us, and when we asked questions, the responses always seemed to prioritize Ola's internal agenda rather than what was best for our villa. We also started noticing a steady increase in fees. What used to be a simple structure with a few charges turned into a long list--transaction fees, credit card fees, even fees just to speak to someone live. It felt excessive and, at times, questionable. The breaking point was how they handled our belongings when we decided to leave. We requested our original linens back, but they had removed tags to make everything "community linens." When we finally received items, they didn't match, some were clearly older than what we originally had, and others still had tags from different units. It was disorganized and unacceptable. To make matters worse, we were promised replacements or compensation, but in the end, we were given poor-quality linens that didn't come close to what we had before. Communication during this process was frustrating--calls and concerns were often ignored or brushed off. There are good people working there, but overall, the leadership and management practices made it impossible for us to trust the company. The lack of respect and common courtesy for the people who employ them--and who they claim to serve--is appalling. Based on our experience, I would not return. I have the emails and receipts if they wanted to dispute my claims.
