This used be known as Maglev, until some clever people decided to tinker with the technology and make it dependent on cables rather than magnetic levitation.
It is an elevated tram-type vehicle that transfers passengers between Birmingham International Rail Station and the main airport terminal. It it very reliable and convenient, with shuttles going back-and-forth every couple of minutes.
From the brian station, it a brief walk to the boarding point and it drops you right at the heart of the departure hall.
The best part is that it is free. The worst part is silly sponsor messages that come at the start and end of the journey, but I guess it has to pay its way.
