Come to find out they were trying to charge me for other stuff on top of my appointment deductible. Looks like I'm gonna have to go in person because it seems like everyone in that office is incapable of answer phones. Unprofessional! Update: The providers are great but the management is awful! The people at the front would hang up on people on the phone. And also would silence all the callas coming in. Now I know why my calls never got answered!!! And when I was indeed waiting, again, there was another lady that that came to ask them about her prescriptions. What a surprise they were also ignoring her calls to the point where she also had to come in person. Sad to say I'll be switching providers due to the lack of professionalism from the management and front desk employees.

I also carry my stress in my shoulders and have two very boisterous Dobermans who occasionally include me in their wrestling antics. I react differently now when 160 pounds of dogs include me in their play than I did two decades ago. I figured this pain and discomfort was something that was going to be permanently present. I was so wrong. I saw the advertisement for By Design Chiropractic on social media and figured, "Why not?" I submitted my name and was contacted the next day. When I showed up for my first appointment, Julie greeted me as if we were old friends. (Seriously, I wish I was that excited about my job). She is super nice, helpful, and really organized. If more people were as nice as Julie, this would be a really amazing world. And, she is not fake nice - she is legit kind. Dr. Martinez met with me and took some x-rays. Once they were ready, he walked me through the issues in my back. Nothing was a surprise, but it was really interesting to see how I "look" underneath my skin. It makes sense why my back and neck hurt. The first appointment was a bit scary for me (I had never been to a chiropractor), but Dr. Martinez is really good at calming the nerves, explains what he is doing before he does it, and moves quickly (so there is no time to be anxious). I felt better after the first adjustment. We came up with a plan, and the plan is working! I have actually slept through the night without pain (something that has not happened in a decade) for several nights. I can move around, exercise, and live my daily life without cringing. I have not had a migraine since I started seeing Dr. Martinez. The "rolling table" (not sure what it is called, but I call it a piece of heaven) is freaking amazing! I want one at my house! This is a process, so do not expect one appointment to cure everything; however, the improvements I have seen after a few weeks have been amazing. If you are a skeptic, go. If you have a chiropractor, come here instead because Dr. Martinez is better. you can meet Julie and realize that you need a dose of niceness in your day. If you have never been on a rolling table, go. If you have any aches or pains and do not want more medication to mask the issue but really want to fix the issue, then come here. It is worth it!

For 17 years, I've tried to hold the limb at bay just to cope. After just one session with Coleman, I felt something I hadn't in years: hope for real pain relief. Even though he hadn't treated CRPS before, he listened closely, adjusted for flares, and helped more than anyone else ever has, including spinal cord stimulator implant. The temperature in my painful leg, which often ran 10 degrees hotter than the other, began to normalize. After each visit, the pain area got smaller, and my average pain level dropped from a 6 or 7 to around a 5 or 6. I believe I'll keep improving as we continue treatments. What surprised me most was the emotional shift. That heavy, burning leg started to feel like part of me again, not just something I had to survive. Also known as Olson Chiropractic & Rehab…read more I was not happy with the service, he mainly talked a lot, gave me a mini massage and applied heat, although he did tell me of some stretching exercises that I could do on my own, I don't feel that the adjustment was that helpful and was still hurting after the "adjustment". Although I realize it can take time to get on the mend, my biggest surprise came at the end of the session when he told me that he was going to charge me as a "cash" customer, charging $80.00, instead of my BCBS co-pay of $25.00. I asked him why he was telling me this now, instead of at the beginning of the visit? He replied because I had not yet met my deductible for the year. I told him I have always had to pay a doctor the co-pay of $25.00, then they charge the insurance co. and in turn get paid the difference from the ins. co. All of this left me feeling very frustrated because I had asked up front if he took my ins. and he had verified my insurance with BCBS. Added to this, I had previously called BCBS and was told he was in net-work and he should only charge me $25.00 co-pay. I feel so upset because here I am in pain and I've never experienced this type of treatment from a "doctor". This seems like a bait and switch and needless to say, I will not be returning to this chiropractor. I still have pain in my hip, where I needed the adjustment and I feel like I was on the spot and had to pay the $80.00. It then took a week to get an appointment, which seemed like a while. Going in the staff at the front desk was nice, but they didn't seem to know what was going on much. Multiple times they brought up what I was in for and my diagnosis in front of other patients and in the hallway. My ailment wasn't anything I was embarrassed about, but just the idea that privacy was seemingly neglected was concerning. Dr Bowers was nice, but seemed really rushed the whole time. He looked at my foot for about 2 minutes and wrote a Rx for an anti inflammatory. Maybe it was because my problem was so routine, but still it seemed rushed and instead of taking time he had me schedule a follow up (which I'm not sure is totally necessary). The office was really cluttered, and the tools seemed really old. I would have been concerned if they tried sticking or cutting me with anything. All the tools were in a bucket of some sort of antiseptic, but it just looked kind of shoddy to me. I will probably try another podiatrist next time, not because of Dr Bowers but because of the front desk/nursing staff and weird office.

If you see the nurses or Nurse Practitioner they do the bare minimum to get you out the door unless you actually see Dr.Grand. Not to mention if you're still sick and need to see them again after the initial visit, it's a series of "the DR and NP are busy well call you back, until you call enough someone finally pays attention. Oh and you better bring $3 because they charge for parking.
