Went searching for a reputable company to ship my latest not so smart purchase of a newer TRD Pro 4Runner . After looking through multiple companies , and seeing nothing but horrendous reviews , I about gave up and just booked my plane tickets to go pick my new ride up . Made a last minute call to a dealer friend or mine and he recommended these guys and specifically Wes. So I reluctantly gave Wes a call , and peppered him with about every question I could think of , and he patiently answered every last one. So just going off of my gut feeling , and their great reviews I went ahead and booked my transport on the airRyd site . To give those reading this a breakdown , airRyd is the company that sets up the transport and locates a truck for you to haul your vehicle . They charge a flat $89 fee for this service . Wes told me that due to the time of year with it being in the dead Of winter , and with the pickup being a fairly remote location , it would likely take a week or two to get my 4Runner loaded . The car was coming out of Laredo , TX , and headed to my home in the Albany, NY area. So I wasn't expecting the car to get to me too quickly . About 5 days later they sent me a text letting me know they had found a driver and the cost was about $80 higher then the initial quote, which I was fine with. Upon pickup in Laredo , the trucking company sent me a link to the bill of lading or inspection report where you can see all the photos that the transporter took. The transport driver Paul , was also pretty communicative , but sometimes did not text right back or give me the best updates but Wes sort of explained that the drivers are not always the best with communication. The car arrived in pretty boring routine , on a larger semi hauler , so I met the driver at fort a nearby church parking lot close to my home . I did a walk around and did have to wipe off some snow and such but did not find any damage . That was a relief I must say. All in all it was honestly a pretty good experience , you can text these guys almost any time and they'll get back to you , even on Sundays or weekends . So their communication is excellent . Would I like to have a better estimate on timing from the get go ... yes , but seems that's a tall task for this industry . Anyway , happy to have my 4Runner back safe. read more

If I could give Wes 10 stars I truly would. I thank God I decided to search how to ship my car on youtube and came across his videos. Like many other people I made the mistake of trying to go with the most well known auto transportation company. With that came hundreds of emails and calls from brokers trying to get my business. I had never shipped a car before so my knowledge was limited but Wes youtube videos really provided a lot of insight. When I sent Wes a quote request I soon then received a text and email giving me all the details. He was very polite, understanding, and responded in a timely manner. Once I decided to move forward with him, in less than 24 hours he had found a carrier for my car. On Monday, December 8, 2020, THAT SAME DAY the carrier was at the house ready to pick up the car at 5pm. They then told us that it would get to me the next day. Remembering what Wes said in the videos about nothing in the car business being guaranteed I took that promise with a grain of salt. I am pleased to say that literally 22 hours later the car arrived in good condition at my house. This arrival time was way ahead of the estimate I was given by Wes of 2-4 days which goes to show you that he really gets the best of the best to ship his customers' cars!!! My wife and I factory ordered 2 Dodge Challengers after Dodge announced they were no longer going to make them. Due to the ridiculous mark up here in Florida, we ended up buying them from a dealer in Kentucky saving over 9k but we needed to get them shipped to South Florida. After doing a lot of research, hearing all of the car shipping horror stories and watching several AirRyd Youtube videos, I decided to give them a try. First thing I will say is they have the best customer service of any company I have ever used. When I called Car answered all my questions and concerns about have a new car shipped and I agreed to the projected cost and made the payment. Once payment was made, I was kept up to date on the status as we waited for a driver to accept the job. It took 7 days from the date the job was posted till I received my car ( which was quicker then I expected) and the cost of the job was $100 over the projected price. I was given the option to wait for another company to accept the job at a lower price but I wanted my car and it was delivered on time in perfect condition. Due to Dodge completing and delivering my Challenger Wide Body to the dealer 3 weeks before my wife's, we actually used AirRyd twice. Wes with and Airryd did a great job our 2005 Ford GT!! We were very worried about shipping our GT after reading the endless horror stories that seem to be commonplace online when it comes to this industry. We even considered just selling the car as shipping it seemed like a very risky endeavor. Randomly I came across Wes and Airryd on YouTube, and his channel "Auto Transport For Dummies where he explains the transport process in detail. - We decided to contact him after watching a couple of the clips and were blown away with his knowledge of the industry. He answered every last question we had, and alleviated many of our anxieties. We decided to have it shipped enclosed because this was an original 2005 GT with very low miles and we didn't want any damages whatsoever on the car. Wes was able to find us a company that he "hand picked" to do the transport and we couldn't have been more impressed with the professionalism and responsiveness that him and Airryd displayed. The car was picked up within the range of dates we needed, dropped off on time, and in perfect condition. And the driver, Darwin, was super friendly as well. Wes made transport of my new car a painless experience. I initially requested quotes from a few brokers and the numbers were all over the place. I picked one and then waited - after a few days I did a bit more research and found out how that industry really works. Broker gives you a price that includes their fee and then they list your job on the national carrier site for a trucker/company to accept the load. Problem is that most don't tell you what their fee is or what is the prevailing market conditions are for that route. If your transport languishes on the board, they may say more money is needed to find a driver who will accept, with no idea if they are low-balling the job to increase their commission. Anyway, I cancelled the first broker, paid Wes his fee and 2 hours later he messaged me that the car would be picked up 9a the next day. An hour later the trucker called and also confirmed same. Three days later I had the car. where I needed it, all for a better price. While your mileage may vary as to that fast of a turnaround my experience was perfect. Highly recommended. If you haven't checked them out on youtube, Wes has a great channel that explains the "ins and outs" of auto transportation in US. It's my first time shipping a vehicle and I had no idea how stressful this could be if you don't know what you are doing. Wes explained the basics, what to expect, the process of getting a car shipped. I looked at AirRyd's reviews online on Yelp and google, their ratings are so high and that should really make you feel comfortable that this company is legit. Very responsive, polite, and informative. No lies, fake promises, Wes and Carter are honest and they will make sure they find you a carrier that they trust themselves and reputable. I needed a 62 Plymouth station wagon shipped from Alexandria VA to Clinton Ohio. Got endless quotes from all the internet transporter. Some of the prices were lower/ some higher. But most of the reviews I was reading were scary. Then I found Wes at Midwest Exotic Transports, he has videos on youtube. I watched all of them, glad I did. He gave me a price (which I thought was a bit high). So I called him. He was easy to talk to. Your always taking some risk when dealing with someone you don't know. I have been looking for legitimate and responsive car transportation companies but non of them would give me the quality or assurance that I found with airRyd. Gladly , my friend referred me to airRyd so I did some digging about the company found them on YouTube! (Also known as Auto Transport for Dummies)...I binged watched most of his videos and it was very enlightening to say the least . My 2015 BMW is my baby so I wasn't too sure about this process , especially after reading so many horror stories . But when the actual transport took place it really went like clockwork from beginning to end , although I did have to wait 30 minutes at the delivery for the driver to arrive beyond the time he had given me , but other then that it was a great experience and the driver, Todd was very nice and even wiped my car down after he unloaded it from the transport truck. I knew 2 things-1st my car needed to get from Ohio to Arizona and 2nd I wasn't driving it there. I had a purple months before the move and I started looking online about shipping a car. I purchased a new car that was 500 miles away. Did my research online and found their website. Requested a quote and had one the next day from the owner. Also got to speak directly with him. We talked extensively about the process. He didn't hide anything... very thorough. He even followed up with me after delivery to make sure the car arrived on time and that I was satisfied with everything. But the best part is the transport that was assigned to my vehicle was top notch. My car arrived on time and very clean (went with covered transport). I was able to talk directly with the transporter on delivery day and he was very professional and loved cars and transporting them. I will be going with this company in the future. Was Extremely hesitant to say the least , as I had initially contacted all the larger brokers , but couldn't find a sense or comfortability. So after formulating a plan to bring the car closer to a major city, Carter was able to locate a driver for me within 48 hours of my original booking.
