He was in and out of my home in less than 15 minutes, and I kind of learned how to address these types of issues in the future so I am very grateful. It stopped cooling on Thursday and after calling the earliest they could come was the following Wednesday. I waited through my noon-4 window and heard nothing. I sent a text to the scheduling line, and was told there was a scheduling issue that caused them to miss my appointment. Would have been good to know before I waited around for 4 hours. The worst part is the reschedule date I was given was the following Monday or Tuesday. Almost two weeks after my air went out. Think twice before getting locked into their comfort as a service program. My office area is far from comfortable today and their service is non existent.

In 2024 we called out several companies to evaluate our failing AC system. Jordan Air undertook a comprehensive evaluation (or so we were led to believe) and based upon their quote and good reviews by locals and friends, we paid them $20k for a new system. Their installation was fast and efficient and I wrote a positive review based upon installation. Unfortunately, problems started soon after completion and over the past 2 years I have lost count of the number of service calls and technicians that have come out, each identifying a different issue, each recommending a different fix, and still our system doesn't actually cool our entire home, as they initially promised it would. The excuses were multiple but each "fix" failed....changing the ductwork, changing the baffle, redirecting air, increasing the duct size on the outflow, changing the duct size on the in-take, need for better insulation, etc. The latest Jordan Air technician even admitted that the initial install was not done appropriately. Now, we have been told that we need to buy a mini-split for an additional $7k! Why was this not identified at the initial comprehensive assessment and quote phase? I had another local company come out and assess this week and they agreed that the work is still substandard (inappropriate installation of bubble wrap around ducts). Having endured higher energy bills and inconveniences for the past 2 years, I was hoping they would take responsibility and fulfil their quote/promise to provide a system that cools our home, rather than trying to get more money out of us to pay for their errors. We are so disappointed.

After receiving a very competitive bid for their services, and a…read morerecommendation from a family member, I went with them to replace our 20-year old heat pump with a new one. They gave me a 100% parts and labor guarantee. We immediately began having problems with the air not cooling enough. Carl (one of the Smith brothers) told me that, "It's just Georgia; they don't really cool too well." He then checked the unit, told us that it came from the factory with too much freon, and drained some off. A week or so later, he was back, installing another drop and vent in the hallway to aid in the cooling. Keep in mind, the old unit always cooled the house completely (when it worked!). Nothing he did was sufficient. I finally had to call another company, who instantly saw that the fan blower setting was too high, moving the air too fast across the cooling coils, and not allowing it to get down to the right temperature. Oh, and they had to add all the freon back in the system, at a cost to me of $375. When I asked (very reasonably) for Smith Brothers to make good on the money, they stopped responding to me. Don't let these guys into your house!
