The fairgrounds are massive, with tons of space, plenty of parking options, and an impressive amount to see and do. Despite the crowds, everything feels well organised, there is plenty of security, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. Come hungry because the food and drink options are seemingly endless. Then wander through the open-air barns filled with animals, catch the pig races, animal showings, illusion shows, or one of the many other performances happening throughout the day. The fair officially packs in livestock exhibits, racing pigs, magic, demonstrations, carnival attractions, and more, so boredom really has no place here. The demolition derby is always a personal highlight and wonderfully chaotic in the most wholesome county-fair way possible. This year's fair even featured monster trucks and rodeo events alongside the derby. Considering how much entertainment is packed into one admission, it is well worth the ticket price. There is a reason this place draws enormous crowds every year. A proper summer institution and an easy recommendation.

Have always had good experiences interacting with the carny and local volunteers. Some highlights are the cheese sandwiches (annual tradition), dairy barn hosted by the Lion's club, visiting the animals, the photography displays and just walking around. I bought some Maryland honey yesterday - who knew I needed local honey? The inside vendor area (Chilly building I think it's called) has seen better days. Every year, there's fewer and fewer vendors. Prices for entry (about $20) and parking ($20) can be steep for a family, but there are discounts (free Senior day in the middle of the week, for example, and a kids discount day). The regular local Montgomery County bus service lets you off just a couple of blocks away and there is free Fair bus service from Montgomery college - you can park at the college for free and take the free bus right to the fair. It's a nice way to spend the day, reflect on agriculture, enjoy seeing families and couples of all ages and diversity, and eating food that's often very delicious, but also very bad for you!

Honestly, I've never been in the buildings--we go here exclusively to wander the grounds and see how many wild animals we can spot. My little girl runs through the woods, climbing the trees, swinging from the vines, and hiding in the various forts built out of fallen branches. The trees are so huge and thick--particularly the tulip poplars--that you really do feel deep in the woods, even though you're right off the main drag. It's magical. The manicured grounds are lovely--not over done in the last, they actually have a bit of a decaying, slightly neglected feel to them but in a very cool way. The small maze in the cypress tree clearing is pretty cool, and the field with huge trees spaced far apart is perfect for a little hide-and-seek. Really and truly a great place to bring the kids, run around for a while, and have a picnic. We love it.

We reserved a private space with a private tasting, which made the day feel extra special and perfect for a large group. For many of our guests, it was their first time visiting this location, and everyone had such a great time. One of the co-founders, Greg, personally led our tasting and was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, welcoming, and checked on us throughout the afternoon to make sure everything was going smoothly. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. I also appreciated that some friends who don't drink were still able to enjoy themselves thanks to the non-alcoholic options. The property itself is beautiful with scenic views, plenty of space to relax, and such a peaceful atmosphere. We had amazing weather the day we visited, which made it even more memorable. I had an awesome first experience at Rocklands…read more I joined a group of 15-20 on the first really nice Saturday of the spring season; it was fairly crowded but we got there right at opening to secure a large section of shaded picnic tables. There was PLENTY of seating still - lots of large and small tables scattered throughout the property. They also have seating inside the winery at a small bar. The wine itself was really nice; we had several bottles of the rose at the table. It was light, crisp, and easy to sip in the nice weather. I was impressed that they also had 2 non alcoholic wines; the non drinkers in our group were happy to have some options made just for them (which were delicious also). There is a third party pizza business that had food offerings; we had many different types of their pizza which were all good. Very smart to have a food option for folks to enjoy while we sip our wine. Overall, the property is wonderfully maintained and the wines meet all expectations. I'd recommend giving this spot a try if you're looking for a nice winery north of the beltway!

My wife loves playing tennis and I love watching it. This was the perfect event for us both. After winning the auction you are contacted by representatives from the FIMI Group who manage most of the events that Marriott's sponsor. These people are amazing and I have know a few over the years. Thanks for all your help Eylim and Michelle. Excellent communication throughout my event. So the first part was our room at the Aria hotel and casino. We arrived on a Saturday. We got a Deluxe King room. It was on the 38th floor and had a view of the Vdara and the Valet area of our hotel. It was a nice room. Very clean and spacious. On Sunday we had the Tennis Clinic with Reilly Opelka. My wife and I would be able to hit with Opelka for 20 minutes. We arrived at the T-Mobile Arena and checked in with the staff. They were so nice there. My wife and I were lead into the Arena and wow it was massive and such a difference when you are down at the floor going in to play. We meet another staff member and she said that they were giving us custom sweatshirts. They had iron-ons to put on the sweatshirts. Our name was on it and we could pick out different stickers to attach to the shirt. They represented MGM Slam and Las Vegas. She made them while we were playing with the Pros. We met Opelka and to our surprise also Alexander Bublik. Now both would be hitting with us. I of course don't play tennis so I let my wife take the entire time to hit with them by herself. Truly a once in a lifetime event. It was magical. She plays doubles so they both played against her and one of their coaches. So much fun. After the match we came back and attended the MGM Slam. We had Golden Circle Tickets which were right behind the players. The best seats. After each match the players literally sat in front of us on a couch. We were hoping Opelka was going to win , then Eva could say she played the winner, but Fonseca won. Oh well , the best time ever. We loved this Moments.

Not only was it incredible to look at (my guests just wanted to take pictures!) it was delicious and fun to explore and taste. It made our event so special.
