The winery itself is fairly new, but it clearly has great potential and is already off to a strong start. The tasting room is set in a converted barn and you can still see remnants of its past. It adds a lot of charm and character to the space, making it feel both comfortable and welcoming. While we didn't sit outside, the view from the property is nice and would make for a relaxing spot to enjoy a glass. Overall, I highly recommend stopping here. Their vineyard varieties are still limited--cab sauv grapes to make cab sauv wine and rosé. They also offer wines from Forever Winery, which recently closed. We had a glass of cab sauv, and for a new winery, it was remarkably good. My husband also had a Merlot from Forever Winery, which was also well done. The location, while not the easiest drive (down a dirt road), pays off with a lovely view. The ambience was lovely, and the owner was quite friendly. I highly recommend it as a new place to try and for regular visits. If they keep on the same trajectory as their excellent start, they should become known as a place for good wine, good views, and good company in a relaxing environment. You will want to bring your own food, though, since food offerings are quite limited. I expect as they grow, that will expand, but in the meantime, bring a picnic basket and enjoy your visit.

She was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the wines without ever making us feel like we needed a sommelier certification to enjoy them. She guided us through the $20 tasting, which included a wonderful mix of whites and reds. It worked out perfectly because I'm a white wine fan while my husband prefers reds, so naturally we shared every pour and declared ourselves a two-person tasting committee. Now let's talk about the food. The truffle popcorn should probably come with a warning label because it is highly addictive. We kept saying "just one more handful" until the bowl mysteriously emptied itself. The fresh baguette with pimento dip was equally delicious and paired beautifully with the wines. The winery offers plenty of seating options, whether you prefer lounging on the grass, relaxing indoors, or enjoying the covered patio. We chose the covered patio, which provided the perfect balance of fresh air, vineyard views, and shade. And yes, I'm actually going to mention the bathrooms. They were some of the nicest winery restrooms I've encountered--modern, spotless, stylish, and clearly well-maintained. It's one of those little details that says a lot about the overall experience. Great wine, delicious food, beautiful setting, immaculate facilities, and outstanding service from Hannah. Greenhill Vineyards has earned every one of these five stars. But sure enough the sign popped up a few weeks ago for one of Loudoun's newest vineyards, so we stopped by to give it a try. The setting is fantastic- a nice little pavilion in between the fields. One of the owners was behind the tasting counter and was incredibly friendly, as was our server. We did a tasting of the six wines available- and this was the first winery we have been to where we actually really enjoyed all six. We even sat down for a while with a couple glasses to enjoy the setting and wine. I'm not usually one for white wines, but the Alborino was excellent. They are definitely worth a stop and a great addition to the local wine culture.

Honestly my only complaint about this place is that they mostly do bags instead of bottles, which is a real shame. We will definitely be going back!

(Also the sign on the window just hadn't been flipped!) Corcoran seems to specialize in ciders more than wines. We went with a flight of the ciders- some of the flavors were a little odd tasting especially the Knot Head . The Sinful is one of my favorites though, having had it at 1836 before. The overall selection is pretty small so there isn't much to come back for unless you want to purchase more of their options.

Then on to the wines. I tasted about half of what was available that day: April Wine 2012 Chardonnay 2011 Seyval Blanc 2011 Cabernet Franc 2009 Cabernet Franc 2012 Pinot Noir I was not impressed with any of the wines I tried - which was disappointing.
