Prices are reasonable, but the proprietor has a firm stance on how items should be hemmed indifferent of customer preferences yielding an at times potentially unpleasant experiences. I'd come back but have the items pre-planned and no trying on in the shop to avoid unnecessary banter.

The front of the bridesmaid dress. I had the halter, sides, and hem done for $80 in under 10 days time.

If I could give Goga and Capitol Hill Tailor 10 out of 5 stars, I absolutely would!…read more I brought in my wedding suit jacket with high expectations, and somehow Goga exceeded every single one of them. From the moment I walked in, she was professional, welcoming, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure it fit perfectly for my big day. The transformation was unbelievable. What started as a nice suit jacket, became a custom-looking masterpiece! Every detail was tailored with precision, and the fit was absolutely flawless. It looked and felt like it was made specifically for me. I've never felt more confident wearing a suit jacket. What impressed me most was Goga's attention to detail and commitment to perfection. She took the time to make sure every adjustment was exactly right and wouldn't settle for anything less than exceptional. You can immediately tell that tailoring isn't just her job--it's her craft. On my wedding day, I know that I'm about to receive countless compliments on how sharp my jacket looks, and I owe that entirely to Goga's incredible work. If you need alterations for a wedding, special event, business attire, or anything else, stop searching and go see Goga at Capitol Hill Tailor. She is truly one of the most talented tailors I've ever worked with, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with an important garment. Thank you, Goga, for helping me look my absolute best on one of the most important days of my life. You are amazing!

As he knows English is my second language, therefore, my grammar may not be perfect. This may reflect racism within this organization. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Jessy responded to my review with lies. Just think twice before you hire his services. The business owner left the items outside of a building after collecting the EXTRA money. GREAT PRACTICES !!! Good Job Jessy I recommend that anyone utilizing his services refrain from advance payment, as he consistently employs policy justifications to increase charges. 1. If he was at my residence for an extended duration removing the curtains, why was there no comment at that time? He charged me the full amount at that time. Also, he charged me extra to take them down and put them back. He did not put them back. 2. Should he have found any urine or like material on the curtains, why did he not reach out to me? he worked for over 5 weeks with the items. 3. He is lying, he did not deliver on time. He was late 3 or 4 days. 4. My behavior was not hostile. I inquired regarding several matters: the additional fee for reinstallation (despite prior payment), the urine issue (never mentioned until the day before), and the debris charge (given my offer to handle it). 5. He blocked me from Facebook and Insta so I couldn't add a review. No wonder why he only has good reviews on his website. I told him "I will pay the extra, BUT this is not fair". I said: "I will add this type of practice to your review, so people won't go blindsided to your services". I paid the extra charges, and as soon as I paid, He send me an angry text saying " I will leave the items at the door of your building". He had no idea if i was there or not. He did not care just to leave plastic bags outside the building. One more time: he waited till I paid his extras, and then he left the items outside the building. He scammed me! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Moises---- WARNING - WARNING - WARNING I recently hired "Trim and Proper" to do curtains for my apartment. The total I was quoted to pay was around $750 to $800 so, as you can see this was not a cheap job that i was having done. I dealt with Jesse specifically. To say the least, this was a traumatizing experience. After asking questions about additional charges that were dropped on me, he proceeded to attack me regarding the fee's; he accused me of being difficult to work with, lashing out at me over text messages and adding fake fee's to my bill, including pet feces clean up. I am unsure where she got this notion. The job was supposed to be measurements, creation and hanging the new curtains. Once I started to question these phantom charges, he sent me a message basically saying I did not read the terms. Yes, there were terms, but he was lying about the fee's she was adding to my invoice. I begged him to honor our original quote, but she was not giving in. I told himthat I would write him a bad review and his response was that since i was going to leave a bad review, he did not have to commit to our agreement. Guess what? My curtains were left in front of my apartment building, on the curb in TRASH BAGS. And just so everyone knows, I paid the invoice in full despite the traumatizing experience he placed upon me. I am now left with trash bags and wrinkled curtains that I was trying to have hung for my family thanksgiving meal. See pictures attached. I also have text messages. Way to go "Trim and Proper". I really hope that she comes to her senses and realizes this is horrible ethics before it's too late for his business.

If you want a proper chain-stitch hem done, Michael will not only do it on an authentic Union Special, but he will make sure that the thread size and colors are correct and match what was originally used (out of his several thousand dollar thread collection). I brought in a pair of TCB 50's Japanese made selvedge denim for a simple hem, and the attention to detail that Michael employed in this seemingly simple task was impressive. I commented on the time he was taking with it, not because it was taking too long, but because I could see that he cared, and his response was something along the line that jeans like this deserve it. I also brought in a pair of Tanuki's that I had torn the button fly seem on while trying to stretch them out after a wash, a pretty simple fix, but he did a great job and very quickly too. Besides the hem and seam repairs, something Michael also does is darn repairs, which isn't something that I needed done, but I've seen photos of his work and also saw his darning machine in person; this type of repair is a lost art, and truly the only way to properly repair holes in denim. There are only a few people that I know of who have this type of machinery, and even fewer that have the know-how to go with it. It's pretty awesome to have one of those people right here in Denver. Michael's address isn't here on Yelp (I mentioned that to him), but it is on google. You can find him at: 5611 Kendall Ct, Unit 4, Arvada, CO 80002 (unit 4 is on the north side of the building) Txt him at 720-720-0357
