I called ahead, got a same day appointment for a simple toenail polish with nail tech named Julie. Got a text confirmation, which I appreciate as a reminder for the appointment time. I was greeted by name by the hostess, which was a pleasant surprise since I've been here before but am not a regular by any means. Julie is great. Very thorough with a nice, light touch. I came to the shop at time when they opened and they told me they didn't have anyone to do my nails there but they sent me to their order location to receive services 11 mins away and also told me they would call and tell them im on my way....I get to the next location called I nails and they aren't even open. There is 3 customer's waiting outside for the salon to be unlocked . I call the salon I came from and they said they have been calling the owner but couldn't get in touch with them. Went here several times in the past, my last time going was literally the last straw for me and I'll never return! To start, I began going here a couple of years ago from a reference someone gave me that they were the best in town. At that time I was getting acrylic nails done and everything seemed fine until a week or two went by and a few nails would just start popping up off of the cuticle. Acrylic should never just start popping up away from the nail for no reason. I wound up taking those off myself and decided to just re-grow my natural nails. Fast forward to 2021 I decided to go back to this place because everyone was giving great reviews on their SNS nails so I figured I'd try it out on top of my natural nails. I must admit I gave 2 stars solely on behalf of the sweet young girl that did my SNS nails the first time. She was super gentle with my cuticles and seemed to know what she was doing. Went back to get them redone when it was time and the only person working that morning was the older lady. I had this lady in the past for the acrylic and did not like her work or attitude! I figured hell, I'm not going to continue to wait for the rest of the staff to lag in well over 45min late so I went ahead and allowed the older lady to do them. WORST MISTAKE EVER! She was horrible on my cuticles and kept hitting them even though I had kindly said something multiple times, two of them started bleeding! She put a horrible ombré on 2 nails with some shatty glitter, and come to find out later by another nail tech at a different location she used acrylic powder on my nails then topped with SNS! I get up to the register already annoyed at the crappy nails and stinging cuticles where she proceeded to tell the tatted up guy everything she did in their language. The price was supposed to be $35 but this guy hit me with "it'll be $50!" I was FLOORED and when I said "for what?" he claimed that I had several things I did not get and I explained to him that I didn't ask for all the crap she put on there and that all I asked for was mint green SNS nails with glitter on the two ring fingers...NOT ombré!! He then got snippy and said "well did you ask her what the price was?" No I surely didn't because she could barely speak or understand simple instructions or English! PLUS I knew what I had paid the first time for the SAME THING....$35! I wound up paying the $50 so he wouldn't wind up calling the law or something but told him flat out that I would NEVER come back there again! Looking back now I should have instantly called my bank and put a stop to the payment! read more

Never again. If you want your nails to look like you did them yourself then go to this place. I had an appointment and the guy doing my nails rushed. He got glue all over my fingers, dipping powder along side of the nails. Made no effort to clean the edges or under the nails. Price is never the same. I love how different this salon is from all the others I've been to. The music they play varies depending on the day you visit which is kinda fun. Overall the staff is helpful and down to earth, it appears they've weeded out anyone that caused issues in the past for their business. The front desk lady is all about the customers experience, I've seen her go over and beyond to make sure it goes smoothly so I always leave her a tip too. I haven't been disappointed in my two years coming here. If you're ever in Mebane, definitely stop by. read more

This was my first visit to the salon. Hardly ever get a pedicure, but my feet weren't terrible. The girl that I got was so rough. She made me bleed 2 times, rubbed the meat off of my feet and not like you're supposed to. She had no care. She also scraped my ankle with the pumice stone. She cut so deep into my toenail that it was bleeding and she tried to cover it with her glove like I didn't know that she cut me... (it hurt) she didn't even remove the toenail that she clipped so deep, and just told me to put my foot back in the water. I told her that I didn't want any polish I just wanted the overgrown cuticles cleaned up around my toe nails. She did a horrible job removing cuticles. Hardly took off any in some areas, and went into my meat in others. She never apologized anytime she hurt me. I know that sometimes it may be uncomfortable and I'm not trying to be a baby I was literally bleeding over and over again. My mom and I got the same thing and my moms was so much longer and the lady (Kim) did so many more steps and took care! I will never go back here again, unless is see Kim! I'm not confrontational so I never said anything. But that was the worst $60 I've ever spent my life! I have 10--year-olds that could Cut my toenails and put lotion on my feet Better than she did. read more

I came here to get my eyebrows done and after getting them done I decided I wanted to get a pedicure. As I was waiting to get my pedicure the owner's son came up to me and spat at me so I went to tell one of the workers about it who apologized. I sat there for another five minutes still waiting to get my pedicure and also thinking maybe the owner would've came out and apologized to me about the actions of his son but that owner never came out or brought his son out to apologize so I left. If you are going to run a business and have your child there, then you need to teach that child manners and if the child misbehaves such as spitting at your customers, then you, as the owner, should have came out and address the situation and apologize on behalf of your child. I have been going there since August and Kevin was amazing. He recently left there and I loved his work so I decided to still try. I went in Jan and I was very unsatisfied and the way I wanted them done the woman would not listen to me and the manager said she don't speak good English so she prob didn't understand but, she spoke well enough to understand. I was like okay one bad time I will go back. Well, I went yesterday and I told the woman I wanted a nail cut but, barely any off and she cut ALL my nails off as short as she could and I was upset but, nothing I could do. Also, with my pedicure I wanted gel and it was always $10 extra. Well, I go to pay the woman said she couldn't combine the tickets so I had to pay separate which is no big deal. She ended up charging me $165 for sns nails and ultimate pedicure with gel. The prices for gel polish had went up to $20 and no one told me before hand. When the woman made the mistake she said she would call the manager and he walked her through the steps and said that the money wasn't taken out of my account which IN FACT it had all came out. And when I asked how long before the money was in my account they said it never came out but, it had. Not one did anyone apologize or offer a gift certificate and was getting mad at me but, THEY made the mistake. I will not be going back there. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I gave them three chances. First time the girl did a French manicure when I had asked for and shown her pictures of an American manicure. Second time the owner did my nails and used a peach colored base (supposed to be pale pink. I've been to many nail salons in the past and AJ is the best. I've been there several times already for my eyebrows, Gel manicure and pedicure. Everything always come out perfect, they take their time and I never feel like they are in a rush to get me out for the next client like some nail salons. Definitely recommend them. read more
