Dialed the restaurant and found out we were about 3 miles away and CPH only has taxis - so we had to walk back to the city center to hail one. Front of the house was so graceful about the whole ordeal - told us not to worry and to just get their safely. Truly took the burden off us! The food - let it take you on a head to tail journey. Incredibly well thought out food - locally foraged and harvested ingredients. A beautiful bounty of Scandinavian ingredients, manipulated with the utmost precision. Chef presented several of the courses - inspiring to hear the descriptions from the creator himself and he was so authentically engaged when we peppered him with questions. At the end of the night it was a bit challenging getting a taxi back - even Chef got involved in the process. The humility and graciousness, stunning. All memorable and fantastic. Wouldn't change a thing.

Chef Alan Bates was pretty good in conversation. But, the food just didn't hit the mark. I was there lunch time and ordered 5 course menu (they only have that for lunches, otherwise you can go for more traditional 9 course menu). The trout tart looked beautiful, didn't have much of wow factor in taste though. The pasta dish was good with ton of truffle shavings. The main meat dish was not at all there. I mean it was cooked nice but there was a side of tempura made from pig-brain if i remember correctly, and it was pretty bad!! Not fried well, was chewy and the fried batter coating got badly stuck on my teeth! Dessert was good.

I was very skeptical at start about this restaurant, especially because it got three star rating…read moreand below from previous reviews and it seems like nobody (at least nobody from yelp) has visited this place recently. Although I have been walking along Vesterbrogade for so many times, somehow this place is invisible to me, only after Linnea R arranged an event to dine here that I discovered this place. I wasn't hungry enough to order the teppanyaki menu so I decided to get the sushi and sashimi menu instead and split a bowl of soba with raw egg with Mina K while the rest of us ordered teppannyaki. Oh well, how sorry I was for not choosing it. The seafood one looked absolutely divine especially when the chef was cooking them in front of us (we were seated by the teppan table). Although the price seemed a bit steep for the menu (420 dkk), you got tons of food for it as I have witnessed from my dining company's meal. You get the starter sushi / sashimi, you get the seafood teppannyaki with rice and miso soup and believe me, there were plenty of food to go around. One thing that pulls one star down from the perfect five was the SLOWNESS of the service. It took forever to get our food (well, the teppanyaki menu was a show of itself) but the sushi took a long time to appear, apparently. Even when we wanted to leave and wanted to get our bill, it took forever as well. This time it was alright because we had great dining company so we didn't mind waiting but we spent what it was like four hours in the restaurant. Sorry, I'd like my food to be faster please. Hungry! *points to stomach*

3.5 stars Came here…read morewith a few local friends while vacationing in Denmark and honestly, this place exceeded my expectations. Not saying that this was the best sushi I've ever had (not even close), but considering we were in Denmark, this place was good lol! They have a very extensive menu (appetizers, sushi, skewers, etc.) and we ordered a few things to try and most of them were good. I was blown away by their vegetarian sushi like the avocado sushi and eggplant sushi. They were very interesting (in a good way) and delicious. The raw fish tasted fresh. The service was just okay; it took a while to get the food despite the restaurant was less than half full.

Inside has great views as well. The doors are wide open with good air circulation. The sushi menu is in ENGLISH bonus!!! I'm getting better at the Danish menus, but it was a nice break for the evening. Lots of choices! You can't eat as much as you want to. The waitress recommended the cauliflower as an appetizer. I say skip it. Get the sisters sashimi tray. It was nicely served. The rolls are also well done. I wanted salad and some of the "sticks" part of the menu, but what we had was plenty. Next time. And there will be a next time for certain. Next time I'm having dessert too! And pictures...

After reading the reviews on Google, this restaurant appeared to be an affordable restaurant with…read moregreat portion sizes and great food. Although the reviews were not completely wrong, they did unfortunately raise my expectations a little high. Although the portions might've been a little larger than what I have been used to in Europe, they unfortunately were not as large as I had hoped. I ordered the "tonkotsu chorizo", which I liked. I had not had ramen for a few months before this, and this was a great place to satiate my craving for it. It was very flavorful, and everything in the bowl combined very well. Although it was labeled as moderately spicy, it was not. I'd probably categorize it as barely spicy, as it was insufficient to give me any spice symptoms. However, for the person who doesn't eat a lot of spicy food, it will be enough to maybe make your nose run a little. But overall, it was pretty nice. However, the service was a little sad, but that does have an excuse. My waitress had to run the entire restaurant by herself, so she had to balance cooking my meal and pickup orders, serving, and cleaning. So, I'm not very bothered by that. All in all, great place to get some ramen if you're feeling for it.

The sides were the seaweed salad, yummm and mochiko chix bites with lemon wedge. The shoyu ramen had a pleasant sauce that was not overpowered by one spice, sauce or garlic. It contained egg, wakame, bamboo shoots, alfalfa sprouts, green onions, grilled chix and a soft thick, almost beige noodle. Chewy but held its flavor. Fellow diners requested spicy dishes and sauces. There are also snacks/appetizers like homemade dumplings and soybeans. They serve beer and sake.

This cute little place offers Japanese street food, snacks and more for very good prices…read more I opted for an Okonomiyaki, which is basically a hybrid between a pancake and an omelet and the word means "what you liked, grilled". Cannot be better than that. They have three different flavors: chicken, bacon and tofu and they are all for 50 DKK. Menu also includes a variety of side dishes such as Chicken Nanban for 35 DKK, chicken wings, many yakitoris, miso soup and more. Everything was fresh and nice, I just would want the fried chicken to be a bit more juicy next time. Decor is adorable and simple, service is kind (and speaks English) which makes this a really great place to have lunch

Good and cheap place in Copenhagen? Yes, please…read more Japanese Kuma serves good Japanese "snacks" such as Okonomiyaki (a mixed between pancake and omelette with toppings on top), sweet potato, spinach salad, kimchi, miso soup and sticks. It's good that more and more Japanese places like this show up in town, so people know that Japanese food isn't all about sushi and sashimi. The portion is small, but the price is small too, or if you're ravenous like me, you could get the menu instead and have a couple of dishes together. I had menu 1 which consists of okonomiyaki, two sticks (pork belly and mushroom), rice and kimchi (which I exchanged to korokke (Japanese deep fried potato balls) and I got miso soup as extra (do me a favour and order the heavenly miso soup) while my eating mate Anders A got the Menu 3 with more items. You can also get the Japanese beer Hitachino here along with classic items such as coffee and tea (Japanese green tea, obviously). I can't recommend this place enough, go here! A little warning: The place is small and they don't take reservations, but by all means, drop by if you have time and the hunger!
