They came out to do a routine service call on a system that they installed 5 years ago. They told me that I needed parts and that my system was no longer under warranty. I was concerned that the system did not send me a notification of the needed repair and I thought my system had a 10 year warranty! It was a very expensive system. Aaron asked me to pay upfront for the part and for two service calls. I did because I trusted them. They didn't come back as promised to make the repair. I called Carrier and was told that I should not have had to pay for the part because it was under warranty and they also noted that they did not get a notification of the failure either as they and I should have. When Aaron finally returned to install the part, he apologized up and down for letting me down. He said that as soon as Carrier reimbursed him for the part he would return my money. He told me a week later that the check had come and he would return the money as soon as it cleared. Well now he doesn't return my texts and his voicemail is always full! It has been several months and I haven't seen my money. I was the first person to review this company when they opened. I believed in them. Now I tell people to find someone else. These guys don't seem to be the honest people that they once were!

Several winters ago I had 5 pipes burst due to extreme cold on the waterfront and had to fight insurance to receive coverage. Many of the "regulars" that I have seen before popped up in my feed including a few that I had called before, but they had failed to show for appointment or simply never bothered to return my original phone inquiries in the past. Then I came across a name that I didn't recognize through only ONE recommendation. I didn't trust the Good Ole Boys club (through recommendations) that I had previously tried to work with, unsuccessfully, in the past, so someone "new" was exactly who I was interested in. I called Zach Ernst, of ERNST MECHANICAL SERVICES, LLC (licensed in MD & DE) immediately...AND I reached him! Our communication was thorough and quick! I explained my concerns, budget and availability. Zach came out the NEXT day (Tuesday 05/02) and identified the burned up wires within my unit and another switch (Relay?) that needed replacement. He presented his suggested proposal of repairs along with a reasonable cost for the work and we agreed to proceed. The very next day (Wednesday 05/03) Zach texted me that the parts had arrived and he could install them on...wait for it...Thursday 05/04! BOOM ! So, moral of the story is: I reached out on a MONDAY...Zach arrived on TUESDAY...Parts were ordered that night and arrived on WEDNESDAY...Repairs were done on THURSDAY. Badda-Boom-Badda-Bing! I am sure they had many other calls that day--units 'always' break at inopportune times... However, within 20 minutes they responded to a voice mail and had a senior technician (Mike) to the house within the next 30 minutes--less than an hour from our initial call. He did a thorough analysis of the issue, clearly described his findings and let us know next steps. Back at the office they worked up various options, called us early the next day, clearly explaining everything, including cost and timing. A day later parts arrived and Mike was at our house first thing in the morning, at the scheduled time. While he was completing the exterior installation, he noticed an interior valve that wasn't working correctly, ordered that and set up the final check. These are really good people. They communicate clearly. They complete the work efficiently, expertly and in a timely fashion. If you need HVAC work and want trustworthy contractors--call them!
