Great customer service! Seriously never experienced service like this! Someone offered assistance immediately. Helped us find the tree we wanted and set it aside while we shopped for bedding plants. I haven't been here in a while because of the serveral times I got spider mites. If you mention it on social media, the owner will flag you and get the comment removed. I left a negative review on Facebook and somehow it miraculously turn into a positive one. When I messenged the owner privately about spider mites on a tree I purchased for $80, she said she was sorry that I had spider mites but I didn't get them from her shop. Insinuating that I had them on my other plants, which I did not. This tree was infested. She was rude and combative and because of this, I will never return and will continue to warn people to not go here if they value the health of the plants they already have. read more

I used to really like Akin's. I know they have the occasional pests but this is UNACCEPTABLE. There are infestations all over the place. My husband and I also left with 10-15 bug bites. Who knows what bit us at this point.. read more

A great place to roam as the first hint of Spring arrives. People young and old moving about gazing at greenery and yard art, statues and whatnot. Stuff here is a smidge pricey if you ask me, but that doesn't make me like it any less. It's local, so you gotta support it! read more

I just love Akin's. They always have a nice array of plants and their location is excellent. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and hard working. I love the planters and decorative objects they have for sale inside the store. Those things are a little pricey sometimes but not ridiculously so and certainly not much more than you would pay at a big box retailer. read more

I love this nursery! Now for a completely honest review, their plant selection is not as large as other nurseries in town - BUT their gift store and selection of pots and garden statuary are excellent! I go here to buy all my pots, and have bought several concrete statues from them. They are the only nursery that carries such a wide variety of statuary. What I love most about this place isn't the beautiful foliage and flowers, but the super super nice people. And they know there stuff. I've been to plenty nurseries where the staff doesnt know waht they're talking about. But they always answer questions.
