Akumin Imaging in Orange Park off Kingsley avoid at all cost. their service is horrendou. We had an appointment for an MRI at 3:30 and it was after 5:00 pm before they saw us. The technician who performed the MRI ( Brian) is not capable of managing time. I would strongly recommend finding a different Imaging service before you consider using Akumin. We will be making sure our Doctors do not refer us or any patients to Akumin in the futur. read more

My daughter had an pre-surgery MRI scheduled at Akumin. They never notified her BEFORE she arrived that insurance had denied it. Now her VERY necessary surgery has been postponed, all because Akumin called to schedule but never when there was an actual issue. Unacceptable. read more

It's hard to know how to rate this spot. The techs are great. The front desk staff are very nice. But having said that, you can almost always expect a wait, and depending on time and day, it can be quite long in a very crowded waiting room. They've also made a couple of scheduling errors with my family over the past few months which was very frustrating. They do almost any procedure that you might need, so it is quite convenient if you live in Orange Park. read more

Staff are professional and polite. I've had several procedures here and never had a problem until last year they had to cancel an MRI due to the machine being out if order. The earliest they could reschedule was after the first of the year when my deductible and out of pocket started over! Last week I went in for a chest x-ray to see if I have pneumonia... Mixed feelings. Positive: Ability to get same day appt. Negative: They do not send imaging results to ordering provider which causes delays in plan of care. I don't understand why an imaging company wouldn't send the results to the ordering physician without being prompted. read more

This place was so much better when it was Signet. They say walk ins welcome but they aren't. I was there at 534 last night and they said they stopped at 534 even though they are open until. 10pm. Got there at 730 this morning and the lady was rude to me and the people before me. Refusing to see him even though he had an appointment. Then she told me I had to schedule an appointment to come back this afternoon. Meanwhile I am walking around in major pain. They are definitely not about patient or customer care. read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had with any imaging center from start to finish. The waiting room is packed, old and dirty. An older man had been waiting so long he finally got up and said his time was valuable too. All of our time is valuable so schedule accordingly instead of making people wait especially older folk. I went in to get my mammogram and was told this tech was one of the best--she wasn't. The woman behind the screen never said anything to me and was never introduced. Sorry if you're exposing your breasts to people at least have the decency to say hello. The machines are completely out dated therefore you as a patient are EXPOSED TO MORE RADIATION than necessary. Afterwards I wan their little waiting room complete with stained cushioned chairs and could hear the doctor saying I didn't need an. ultrasound. I was given an order for both because I had been experiencing pain in my breast for some time. I heard his comments and thought it was highly unprofessional. I insisted on the ultrasound being proactive for my health. If he found nothing on the X-ray why in the world wouldn't you get an ultrasound that was ordered?? Maybe the ultrasound can save a life but no not with this nimrod doctor! Getting the images sent to me was another nightmare and after weeks of waiting and requesting I pulled my other imagine from this hell hole and went elsewhere where I was treated with respect! Try that for a change...RESPECT! read more
