The original business never responded, but My Desert Dogs responded immediately, and with good details about price and the amount of time we would need to schedule. She was a bit overgrown as her last groomer broke her arm. I contacted Veronica about the groom looking messy and overgrown after 2 weeks and requested the cut shorter. She shared my concern with her groomer making me look bad. Then she contacted me today about canceling my next appointment next week because she had another client who wanted that time slot. I confirmed I wanted the groom and asked again for a shorter "puppy" cut. She called me and declined service claiming it's not healthy for the dogs coat or skin and refused to cut any shorter. I explained I've been grooming my dogs for 18+ years and I know what is good for my dog. I didn't appreciate being schooled or scolded by this rude, condescending person. She then Canceled my appointment despite my advising I would leave a review about my experience on YELP. Also please note that the mobile grooming van is shabby, old and decrepit. I noticed many negative reviews about Veronica. She is NOT LICENSED and not kind at all. Very disrespectful, nasty girl. AVOID THIS GROOMER AT ALL COSTS!!!

I met Mandie from Mandiepaws (760-507-5500) on Friday and had to leave the next day. Mandie met with me and took notes and asked just what I needed her to do while I was away. Mandie did an excellent job of watching my two senior dogs. She sent me pics and texts daily as I had requested. She is licensed and bonded which made me feel more at ease. Her rates were better than any I have paid in the past for people who didn't come with her qualifications. I will be using her from here forward. Mandie walked the dogs and spent a few nights at my house, watered plants inside and outside, gathered the mail and a few other things I hadn't even asked her to do.
