*UPDATE* We've been going for about one month now - using Angie's grooming services weekly and also Trixie has been attending their half day small dog day care. Our puppy's reaction when we drive up says it all -- she goes absolutely bonkers with excitement to see Sean, Enrique, Angie and all her little doggy friends. My Desert Dogs provides a safe, clean and friendly environment for our beloved puppy. They proactively communicate via text with comments and pictures throughout the time booked. WE LOVE THEM!!! Angie just gave our 5-month old Bernedoodle puppy her first puppy cut! She did an excellent job on our very active puppy!!! Angie bonded well with our puppy, she was extremely knowledgeable about not just grooming Bernedoodles but also working with puppies. She even gave us tips on how to get our puppy use to grooming. read more

We're in the desert with our two dogs (a Bichon and DoxiePoo mix). They desperately needed a wash and cut. Originally, I was looking at another business, but YELP asked if I wanted to submit my request to multiple businesses and give them an opportunity to respond, which I did. The original business never responded, but My Desert Dogs responded immediately, and with good details about price and the amount of time we would need to schedule. I waited a day to give others a chance, but was so impressed with the reviews of My Desert Dogs and with their response, that I called made an appointment. We were not disappointed . Our dogs looked amazing. We're happy and so were our pups. Grooming is not easy with a Frenchie, so I take her somewhere. The staff at my Desert dog was quick to answer the phone, book me an appointment, get my dog in the same day cleaned up and Pampered for about $50 - WE WILL BE BACK NEXT MONTH AS ANOTHER SATISFYING EXPERIENCE!! I had been to this location a couple of years ago, but I believe it was under different business name, certainly different staff and management because that experience was horrible..VERY NICE AND CLEAN - TIME and MONEY well spent :) read more

Oh thank goodness I can finally go on vacation and not worry about my dog while we are away. The best thing is they have a night service so we can go into Palm Springs for the evening and leave Lucy at My Desert Dogs. This place is so professional and consistent in everything that they do it gives me so much confidence. It's also sparkling clean. The place is so well organized so my OCD never kicks in when I go there We just drop off our beauty to have fun with playmates and we go do the same!!! read more

We are new to the Coachella Valley area and needed a place to board our terroir "Doodles". We are so grateful to have discovered My Desert Dogs through Yelp. We have used them twice already, and I cannot say enough good stuff about them. We have boarded many times previously in the San Diego area but never experienced this level of care, expertise and great customer service. Just one thing that sets them apart is the excellent communication. We have received several photos each day of our little guy enjoying playtime. The people here are absolutely fantastic! Found this business quite by accident. What a delightful surprise. I've used other local boarding kennels and had neighbors look after our Chocolate Lab, with mixed results. Our two experiences with My Desert Dogs have been nothing short of fantastic. Our Dancer enjoys her stay and comes home exhausted from all the play. The staff is welcoming, responsive and caring. We tried this location when it was another business and were not impressed. I heard this was under new ownership so I thought we'd give it a try for my very senior dog. They're very thorough on the intake, extremely pleasant to deal with and the location is very clean. But most importantly, my dog when leaving an overnight stay would slowly walk out looking very exhausted but here he ran out to me. Happy as can be. Wesley, the golden doodle here. My human parents took a tour of this new doggie daycare and loved it so much that they brought me over to see what I thought. Well, I LOVED it! Top notch facility and team! Can't say how big of a relief it is to find such a trusting place to bring our dog (a pug) for daycare and boarding. My Desert Dogs was recommended to us by a friend who had their dog there and had a good experience as well. The owners, Sean and Enrique, are awesome - took the time to greet us and tell us about the business operations. Also met Stella for a tour and she was wonderful. We were nervous to leave our dog for the first time since moving to the valley full time and she lost her sister a year ago. Worries be gone. The photos and updates they send throughout the day were so fun and helpful. She clearly had fun and made lots of friends. We were able to enjoy a week away knowing our dog was in good hands. The facility is impeccable - clean, organized, and thoughtfully planned out. Our dog was grouped with similar-sized dogs for her week-visit. Couldn't be more grateful. I recently took my poodle, Georgie and I can't say enough good things about this place! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted Georgie like he was part of their family. They were warm, attentive, and clearly dog people through and through. The whole team took the time to make him comfortable and match him with dogs that fit his personality. I got regular updates and photos throughout the day and seeing him playing happily and getting cuddles from the staff completely put me at ease. The warm greeting and the usual detail exchanged made the process very easy. Jose was the groomer, believe that was his name. The sweetest and welcoming. The usual chit chat on what we wanted and that was that. The place looked well kept and clean. I believe you're also able to bring your pup in for a bathing as well. The quick introduction, instructions and explanation and we were on our way. It's located in a strip mall off the main strip so you could also get all your errands done. Of course some things were done while we waited. It was about an hour and half till it was time for pick up. They do text/call to let you know. The place was great and the staffs were all very friendly and professional. We did feel welcome which is alway a plus everywhere. Pricewise was good. I believe it's based on size and what services maybe needed. Obviously if certain things is needed, then additional fee is added on. Jose was a doll and very sweet. She is very thorough and great with our dogs. Two of our dogs are under-socialized and a bit shy. They both love Jen and took to her when they would avoid most people. Our oldest dog is a 16 year old Shih-Tzu. Our other two dogs are a large WHPG Mix and a Pit Bull/Shar Pei mix. Jen is great with all sizes and breeds of dogs. One of our dogs suffers from severe lumbar spondylosis and Jen makes sure that she gets her multiple medications during her stay. We get daily pics and updates as to how the dogs are doing each day. So, look no further for a pet-sitter. I'm a retired LEO and I trust Jen with the care of my pets and house.

You can tell that Kat cares deeply about the dogs she works with and I'm so glad we found her out here in the desert. I took my dog Daisy in for grooming today, and she looks absolutely fantastic! Sean, the owner, was super friendly and welcoming, and Jessica, the groomer, did an amazing job -- Daisy has never looked better. You can tell they truly care about the pets and take pride in their work. The whole experience was smooth, professional, and very caring from start to finish. As it our first time finding a new groomer here, we found this place. Spoke with someone regarding booking and it was quite easy. They were able to get in us first thing in the morning at 9. When we got there, a little earlier there was also someone waiting with their little ones. Once we checked in, the gentlemen behind the register was the sweetest. The warm greeting and the usual detail exchanged made the process very easy. Jose was the groomer, believe that was his name. The sweetest and welcoming. The usual chit chat on what we wanted and that was that. The place looked well kept and clean. I believe you're also able to bring your pup in for a bathing as well. The quick introduction, instructions and explanation and we were on our way. It's located in a strip mall off the main strip so you could also get all your errands done. Of course some things were done while we waited. It was about an hour and half till it was time for pick up. They do text/call to let you know. The place was great and the staffs were all very friendly and professional. We did feel welcome which is alway a plus everywhere. Pricewise was good. I believe it's based on size and what services maybe needed. Obviously if certain things is needed, then additional fee is added on. Jose was a doll and very sweet. Took very good care of our little one. Seemed like we may have found something new here.
