Everything was clean, no dust and no cluttered vibe, and they had such a large selection that you almost needed to do three rounds to take everything in. The prices were great, the service was upbeat, and we loved their dog gift section. We decided if they had a location near us we would probably be there every weekend. All in all, Placerville True Value Hardware is a definite must visit and not to be missed.

The only reason it's four stars instead of five is that they don't always have every specialty item in stock, but that's a small tradeoff for the service. I'd much rather stop here than wander a big-box store looking for someone to help. If you're in the area and working on a project, this should be your first stop.
