It was work for my 80 year old mom's place. -They wanted cash all up front before they even began - that will never happen. -Then they stopped in the middle of the job to start another job next door. -The did the area in front of the house cross wise so the water gets trapped from rolling down towards the street. -They were supposed to remove the fence and put it back in as the cement was setting - didn't happen, and as you see the fire hydrant .. that was what the base of the fence looked like including the air duct that goes to her basement. -They placed lumber down on the wet cement to walk across but it was not raised so now there are indentations of the lumber where the cement is. -There is most likely my mom didn't tell me about or I forgot but the one thing I do remember is they asked her to tip each of the workers, and told her how much to give them - don't they pay their workers? Well maybe they don't deserve to be paid after seeing their lack of skill, sloppy work, disregard for doing what they are paid to do correctly, and cheating a customer by NOT doing what they said they were going to do and then asking for the customer to supplement their wages! You can decide for yourself if these are the type of characters you would invite to work on your home or your parents' home. This is clear that those reviews you see online, mean NOTHING! If I had been around they would be on their hands and knees fixing it until their fingers bled. Beware of any business having a perfect score of rave reviews. We can always strive to be better and mess up sometimes but this seems to be ingrained in their DNA to be sloppy and own a distain for its customers.

In this age where it is…read moreso hard to find excellent home improvements contractors with fair rates, Joseph David Roofing exceeded all my expectations. The customer service was awesome! Mark David (partner/owner) started by dropping off brochures with samples after I accepted his very fair estimate, and then he brought back larger samples of the colors that we liked best. He offered to bring more samples if needed, made me feel welcome to reach out with questions, and always answered questions in a timely manner. Unlike other contractors who estimated my roof, Mark demonstrated that he is an expert with all the available products. One time I called with a question and he was actually in another state at the manufacture's workshop learning about new products. He is always researching the latest products instead of staying in a comfort zone using the same old product all the time. He insisted on using the underlayment made by the same manufacturer as the roof shingles, instead of trying to save a few hundred dollars on inferior tar paper, so that our warranty is valid. The other contractors didn't tell me that! Mark was on site the whole time the work was being done. His crew was very friendly and hard working. They paid close attention to all the small details which turn a very good job into excellent job such as: painting the vent pipes to match the roof, using the best flashing products around the vent pipes/fan vent/chimney, correcting concrete work on the chimney, and installing a chimney cap. They cleaned up all the debris quickly and Mark made sure the dumpster was picked up as soon as possible. I highly recommend Joseph David Roofing without a doubt!
